I will probably give it 2.5 stars, this comic was kinda disappointing as I saw so many people praising it and then there was issue 2 which was just so bad, like Tony underwater fighting some weird creature and I kinda hated it but man that issue 3 was so good, Iron shogun vs that Oni and also a story about Tony remembering his mother and it made me tear up a bit and yeah thats the only good story in this comic.

There is that story with Iron man fighting some future villain which was just bad then the stuff in the end with fake Iron man or something wearing the 2015 bendis era armor and I don't even understand what happened in the ending, but still cool panels showing Tony and his contingency plans.

There is a cool team up with Dr strange and some weird magical threat happens, yeah that story should have been like 2-3 issues long like it felt like the writer was cramming so much in one issue, that it came off as confusing but regardless some cool moments there.

So yeah overall its a comic that tries to acknowledge each and every era of Iron man so far but comes off as confusing most of the times, but the art was good and that moment with his mother will make you tear up and I loved that moment!

Meant to be a love letter to all stories Iron Man, this miniseries is definitely more miss than hit...

There's a touching issue with Tony remembering how amazing his mother was. We don't get many mentions of Iron Man's mother. This was a sweet cap to the issue. On the other hand, we have an issue of Iron Man waking up at the bottom of the deepest sea trench...where he meets a telepathic fish and whale. Unique...but, seriously?! It also was missing a consistent thread to bring the random issues together. There's SOMETHING there, but it's not really brought forward as the focus

I’ve had this from the library since probably close to Thanksgiving of 2024 and had been slow-walking my attempts to read it after seeing some of the more negative reviews. I will concede that the ending is sudden, unclear, and thematically not THAT interesting, but the visuals throughout are pretty solid. This reminds me a lot of Morrison’s All-Star Superman, except this keeps injecting weirdness without strong thematic clarity. I almost think it’s better to read each issue as self-contained and to not treat this as a singular narrative, but instead take each issue on its own terms.

Also, people really didn’t like the Freds/Whales. I, personally, thought it was endearingly silly. 🤷‍♂️

I like that it's a series of short stories, and I thought the art was really cool. But the writing falls just a little short of greatness for me, and I'm not entirely sure why. There are some excellent moments in here, but overall it didn't quite hit the spot. Maybe because there was very little Tony out of armor? I'm not sure.

Both the writing and the art feel like they're on the cusp of greatness, but still a little too amateur and disorganized to completely work. The ideas are there though, and some of them are pretty cool. There's also basically no ending lol

What was this? A supposed celebration of Iron Man's 60 years is actually some badly written stand alone tales that make little sense, bring nothing of interest to the character, and show that Iron Man is...boring. This was rough.

Art and colours were good. It was a nice premise of one and done stories, however the stories themselves weren't great. Issue 3 was easily the best one.
Read it digitally or skip it.

Okay comic. Was very confused throughout entire book. Do have to say- I loved the concept of the “Fred” fishes. Found them and the giant fish to be rather humorous.

​​Через те, що цього року виповнилося 60 років з моменту дебюту Залізної Людини в коміксах. Через це Марвел випустили лімітку "I am Iron Man" від сценариста Мурева Айоделе та художника Дотуна Аканде. За словами сценариста він ж великим шанувальником персонажа і ця серія є від фанатів для фанатів, як нових так і старих. Тож давайте глянемо чи вдалося Айоделе вдало відсвяткувати ювілей персонажа.

Сама лімітка по суті є антологією історій які відбуваються в різні періоди кар'єри Тоні. Так в першому номері нам розповідають про сутички Тоні з лиходійкою в різні періоди періоди свого життя, у другому ЗЛ об'єднується із розумною рибою щоб нейтралізувати вплив метеориту, в третьому рятує маму хлопчика від Моджо, в четвертому починає бачити монстрів та розслідує вбивство прибульців і от що відбувається в п'ятому я якось не дуже сильно зрозумів.

Через це п'ятий номер мені й сподобався найменше. В усьому ж іншому лімітка вийшла дуже навіть хорошою, особливо на емоції пробила кінцівки 1 і 3 номерів. Другий номер вийшов дещо дивним, але тим не менш цікавим, ну і 4 номер теж був класним, хоча от у ньому є дуже різкий перехід між сценами який збив мене з пантелику коли читав його. Взагалі видно, що автор любить цього персонажа й досить непогано працює з Тоні як персонажем. Щодо малюнку Аканде то тут те все теж добре, він вийшов досить динамічним та красивим.

В результаті лімітка "I am Iron Man" вийшла досить непоганою серією, з хорошими історіями, особливо на фоні основної серії яка зараз в основному є додатком до коміксів про Іксів. Сподіваюся, що ця авторська команда ще повернеться до історій про Залізну Людину.
