The author has developed the characters in the story beautifully which indeed add depth to the story. Despite the first book by the author the book has a beautiful word building and captivating story along with crisp narration. The story flow beautifully throughout the book.

I really enjoyed this love story about Saanvi and Daksh. It made me think about fate and if some people are meant to keep meeting.
Saanvi's part of the story touched me. She was hurt before and didn't want to fall in love again. But then she met this great guy at the airport. Even though she tried not to like him, he kept showing up in her life. I could feel her struggle between protecting her heart and opening up to something good.
Daksh was a really nice guy. I liked how he didn't push Saanvi or try to rush things. He saw she was dealing with past hurts and gave her space. It made me root for him and hope Saanvi would give him a chance.
This story felt real to me. It showed how hard it can be to trust again after being hurt. But it also gave me hope that good people and new love can come into our lives when we least expect it.

I picked up "Finding the Happener" looking for a light read, but I got so much more. This book beautifully captures the struggles of young Indians caught between tradition and modernity. I could really relate to Saanvi's dilemma about her arranged marriage and career goals. The author did a fantastic job developing both main characters - I felt like I knew Saanvi and Daksh personally by the end. I especially enjoyed Daksh's inner monologues and how his feelings for Saanvi developed. The pacing was perfect, with just the right balance of romantic moments, humor, and plot twists. After a long time, I read something like this. It was an innocent and soothing book, I’d say. It delves into complex themes of heartbreak, trust, and self-discovery too, but somehow it’s heartwarming. It explores these deeper emotions with sensitivity. It is more than just a romance novel.

I enjoy reading stories from cultures that are not my own. This story allows insight, albeit fictional, into a world that's not all that familiar.
Character development is good, as is the plot. I wouldn't have minded more depth, but as it is, it's a quick and fun read.

"Finding The Happener" by author Sharmistha Chakraborty is a simple and short story of self-discovery and finding love. Moreover, the novel also explores themes of love, betrayal, deception, adventure, and destiny.
Saanvi was a dermatologist and was travelling from Mumbai to her hometown Bhubaneswar for her wedding. She meets a man named Daksh at the airport, and he was also travelling to the same place. Saanvi's parents had arranged her wedding with Sanjay, who used to work in Chicago. Saanvi had not met him before and didn't want to settle down so soon, but was doing so because of societal pressure. Sanjay was already married to another woman but was going to marry Saanvi. Why? How will Daksh cross Saanvi's path again? Will Saanvi ever get to know about Sanjay's truth?
I personally feel that we meet people for a reason, and nothing is a coincidence. Some accidental meetings make us find a true companion. Saanvi's character has been portrayed well, and I liked it.
