The hero’s POV is giving Disney Princess. I kept expecting him to break out into a poor little rich boy song about his suppressed hopes and dreams… of being the Bestest Bordello Owner EVER … 🥺
The character’s actions and thoughts and motivations don’t match up. Why is he obsessed? Why is she (a basically normal girl) so turned on by selling her v card? What about her makes stripping down and laying down spread eagle on his desk (completely self-motivated) seem like a reasonable choice?? Why is she willing to be bobble-headed sex toy without any resistance or qualms of any kind? Why does she decide to show up to the funeral? We were never shown anything from her POV that made that make sense. They barely know each other than a short conversation and her licking up his cum (with not even an ounce of coercion from him or trepidation from our blushing virgin 🙄). This whole thing would have been WAY more compelling told primarily in HER POV. As-is there’s no suspense, or anything remotely compelling other than him jacking off to the thought of hitting her cervix. 🙄

This book checked all the boxes for me.

✅ H falls first and is constantly infatuated with her and treats her like a queen
✅ Breeding , not forced exactly, but basically she's told "This is going to happen"
✅ No 3rd act break-up
✅ Almost all the conflict comes from outside influences, not fighting between the MC's
Stumbled upon this book and it was just exactly what I was hoping for. Alex, the H becomes completely obsessed with the h when she comes to him and offers herself up to try to save her brother's life. I really appreciate that while the h is beautiful, that's not his primary reason for falling in love with her. He sees all the sweet, selfless things Olivia does and falls in love with her loyalty and innocence. I also like that while the h is mostly sweet and submissive, she doesn't mind speaking up and saying what she wants and when she's upset with something without being a total whiney bitch. It was also nice that she got pregnant and they were married at about the 65% mark. It gave us a lot of time to see them together. Also the "who done it" aspect was fairly well done. It wasn't super obvious who it was, though I suspected it was a possibility, but she really did a good job of planting a few red herrings to keep you guessing. Overall, this was a fabulous read, definitely will check out her other books!

HOT DAYUMMMM!!!
Ok, so this one started out really rocky, with the hero ALMOST getting a BJ from a skank (he doesn’t, he pushes her away), and I almost bailed on it. But a friend who recommended it to me,ASSURED me that it would get better and to stick with it. So I did.
The hero starts off as a total scumrat zero. I was sure I was gonna hate him. He was a sex club owner, drug user, drug dealer, a walking STD trap manwhore and he made my skin crawl.
But when he meets the heroine, he’s equally drawn to her and terrified of her. She makes him FEEL. and she makes him want to be a better man.
I loved watching him grow from an aimless, oozing loser to a man determined, obsessed and hyper-focused on a woman who brings out the best in him. he’s arrogant, cocky, used to getting everything he wants and he’s 100% gone for the heroine.
This was really a story of light vs darkness, yin and yang, the strength of innocence to tame the beast.
And I absolutely loved how attentive the hero was with the heroine during her pregnancy, every little detail he was concerned with, how protective and caring he was with her. Caution: It was almost enough to make me want to grab the Mr and have another kid!
I still don’t care for the opening scene, but the rest of the book definitely redeemed him. It opened with the ick, but ended with the swoon!
Safe-ish. Hero’s past is mentioned, he was a manwhore, but 100% faithful to heroine after meeting her. Heroine is a virgin and belongs only to her hero. No sex scenes with others, no cheating, no flashbacks. Unwanted OW drama, but hero shuts it down. Trigger warning: very unwanted OM attention. Also on page murder. HEA with epilogue.

✨10 stars for that mothafockin' twist. BRO. Dude this is NOT just a Romance novel. It's a Romantic SUSPENSE novel and oh that TWIST. I did NOT see that coming from a mile away.
Like......literally the best 2024 reads.
◼At first, reading this felt like another one of those cliche books where the bad-boy prince gets his act together after the h's first glimpse and then there is butt load of crazy hot sex. Boom. HEA.
◼Hell......TO DA NO. That's NOT what happened here.

▶So, as I was saying, this first, fell like another cliche novels with cheesy plot. But imagine my suprise when the story actually had a lot of drama and suspense to it.
▶It's fast paced. It has action. It has smut. It has mystery. It has murder. It has drama.
▶I mean I'd read a three part book about this couple.
🖤Alexander Stanley- Oh my boi. My dream angel. My sweet sexy king.
✅When I say he did a 180..... I mean like....he went from.... snorting coke up his nose 24*7 to holding back Olivia's hair as she threw up seven times a day. He's definitely the more favourite of mine in this book, just because he went through an AWESOME character transformation.
✅Being raised in a household with absentee mother and a distant father, he abandoned his estate at 18 and went on to own a LOT of sex clubs/strip clubs/normal(?) clubs around London,establishing himself as the wealthiest and most sought after Bachelor in England. He had a lot of childhood trauma which he overcame by partying too hard, drinking and snorting coke up 24*7.
✅After he spots our h,Olivia, he instantly decides to be the man that she deserves.
✅Changing his lifestyle from a manwhore to family man wasn't easy, and Im glad that the author, instead of changing him overnight, decided to show us his struggle through all this. Him taking up over the responsibility as the next Duke of Hatherly. Falling in love with Olivia. Taking care of his family. Emotionally connecting, not just with olivia, but also with the family he left behind when he left the estate.
✅Even though, Alex had always been charming and confident, I was happy to see his emotional side get more... out in the open as the book progressed.
✅Not to mention, that he is absolutely the book boyfriend we need. He is so hot, supportive, possessive and totally in touch with his emotional side. What more does a girl need?
🎀Olivia Adams- For most people, Olivia is not the idea of a good FMC. She was one of those naiive super sweet and I-dont-know-stranger-danger-is-a-thing typa girl. And while, I do understand that most people would prefer someone with a spine, I would still recomend you read this because....wierdly enough, she does grow enough spine to.....kill a human with her own hands. And though, it was spontaneous and unexpected, I still think that it wasn't that big of a deal that she was innocent and too sweet for this world. I know a lot of people who're like this in real life, and those are the only one's I prefer as friends, so yeah.
✅She didn't go through much character arc, but there were a lot of things that suprised me about her. I know I mentioned that she was innocent, but people forget that people who are not liars or cheaters or manipulative, are very true to their word, if they promise you something, they keep it. Olivia was one such person, who, even though was forced to live with Alexander in exchange that he will spare his brother Jamie's life , she showed every bit of her support as a 'pretend-fiance', she was understanding and went out of her way to help Alex. I think this was a crucial part of the plot because no one had ever done anything for Alex out of selflessness.
✅So, for me, she is the perfect soft strawberry jell-o to his hard candy. (That is not a sexual innuendo lol.)

Oh boy.....😂😂😂😂🤦🤦🤦 soooooo a girl has a dumbazz brother who decided it would be a good idea to steal cocaine from a major drug dude and distribute with his friend and also bet on a rigged boxing (?) Match which his person definitely did not win even tho they said it was a done deal. That was a super duper long sentence 🤔🤔🤔😂. Her skips town and she decides to go to the major drug dude (MDD aka H aka hero) and ask for forgiveness on her brothers behalf. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂💩😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😐😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂💩😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 what a fucking dumb fuck cunt. I cannot get into this book at all. The Hero has way too much going on. The author made him an aristocratic duke, but he’s also a bad boy club owner, but also king of the seedy underworld? How? I barely have time to do my own laundry I don’t know where he finds the time for all that. The heroine so far has no personality at all. I normally like Disney princess heroines who are innocent and kind hearted, but this one is way too much of a Mary sue. This is basically a very poorly done version of my one of my favorite books Little Dove, but the Wattpad version.

My thoughts are the same as Lori’s. The heroine exchanges a year of her life to save her brother. But the H has other longer term plans. I love that the H was so in love and not afraid to show it. The breeding and JP was chefs kiss 😘. The smut was hot. I got sliiiightly bored around 60%, there were a few editing errors, but a great breeding read for sure.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book. I came in with an open mind and I made sure that I had no preconceived notions of what was going on in this book other than the synopsis that I read I like to keep my reviews vague because I don’t think it’s fair to read a whole synopsis of the book in the review because then there’s no point in reading the book, so here I go.
This story was so beautiful in its own way. Keep an open mind! I immensely enjoyed reading this book and the insta-love between the main characters is so very strong. The author does a good job of explaining the personalities of the characters so you can feel what they do and learn about who they are. A big part about this book that I loved is no one asked anyone to change, the change happened on its own, but yet the characters still remained true to who they are. They just changed in certain aspects to fit this all consuming love.
The chemistry between the two main characters is very obvious and it makes for some of the best steamy parts of the book. Which in this book there is A LOT. It’s completely easy to see how the FMC became pregnant.
I love the twist and turns that we get from the characters in the background that you don’t realize are important but then become very important. I’m not gonna tell you which ones because that’s something you’ll have to read for yourself, but this book is done beautifully in the wanting to keep you guessing because you know something is up and you know that the main characters know that something is up, but they can’t see it and it’s frustrating because YOU know and can’t tell the characters!
If your new to—or already like/love— breeding tropes then I highly recommend this book. It was a fantastic read. I read it in less than eight hours because I couldn’t put it down. I just got tunnel vision and I couldn’t stop reading it and I’m glad the author let me read it to review it for you guys because I highly highly highly highly recommend this if you like these tropes or interested in trying it out.

This was chaotic. It was a hate read I ate up with a spoon. I was rolling my eyes constantly but also kind of liked it. Maybe I’m sleep deprived?

Holy bananas. This was such a good book. I went into this book thinking one thing and came out thinking another and I was soo pleasantly surprised. The way Alex was instantly obsessed, I was here for his crazy antics and his quick decision making. Once he had his mind set there was no going back and what the Duke wants.. the Duke gets. In the first chapter of Alex's POV he was set up to be a douchy guy but he was so sweet and attentive to Olivia. He had all this power over her and yes.. to an extent he used it but he never did it in a malicious way. And omg Olivia just taking it on the chin and going with the flow even if Alex's plans/decisions were a little bat shit crazy she was here for it. I really liked the who done it aspect and surprisingly they were on my suspect list but never at the top so I was surprised when it was revealed. This is a must read and you seriously won't be disappointed.

Not a bad Duke, just a Bad Book. It's just not well written and even the story is stupid.
Alex Stanley (28) inherits the title of Duke after his shitty dad dies. He's not necessarily interested in the job because he's already running a successful drug empire - yet he decides to take on the title anyway.
Olivia Adams (22, virgin) has a dumb brother who stole drugs from Alex. She goes to Alex to beg for her brother's life - even offering up her virginity (isn't that so nice of her!!). Obviously, Alex doesn't believe someone so beautiful could still be a virgin, so she drops her pants & panties and tells him to check for himself!! LOL Like seriously WTF. Anyway - he'll erase her brother's debt if she agrees to be his for 1 year. That turns into him banging her, now he wants to breed her, some surprise siblings, a ridiculous kidnapping and rape trope, and a bunch of other stupid crap.
Honestly - the story was too dumb to enjoy. Plus - there were so many freaking time jumps. Two weeks later, Nine weeks later, Two months later, Seven days later, yada yada yada.
Def do not recommend.

Hot scenes in a not so sweet contemporary romance
Good in-between. I wasn't looking for dark dark but needed a contemporary that wasn't sweet or rom-comy. This book popped up as a breeding rec and I'm glad I took a gander. First, the breeding and obsession tropes are well balanced in the story. Neither really feel like check boxes or like over the top just feel tropey but I do wish for more scenes in general. It feels tamer than what I thought I was going to get. This truly is a good stand in if you want a contemporary with a little edge. I wish the Duke was badder, darker but it's ok and the story had great twists and turns. We see the FMC pregnant throughout the story and the watching the MMCs progression from hedonism to obsessed husband was sweet.
