Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an action, reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character; sow a character, reap a destiny. This seems to be the central message of "Megaliving" and it is a good one. The book is crammed with wise sayings, poignant quotes and plain good advice, such as, "Maintain and nurture your friendships," and "Feed your mind with good books, as books contain a wealth of knowledge and experience for you to tap into". For anyone who is looking for a concise self-improvement book, this is a great choice. However, I personally prefer books that appeal to the emotions as well as the intellect, motivating change through stories that evoke longing rather than simply through practical suggestions. "Sow a thought" is where it all begins and ends, yet little regard is given to sowing a desire or feeling. Also, I find it rather exhausting to read a book which only advocates behaviour change. Somehow, it needs to be diluted by more realistic portrayals of human experience, for example, how people try to improve and fail several times before getting it right. I found that reading an ordinary novel at the same time as I was reading "Megaliving" helped to keep the material fresh, and I recommend that others do the same. Perhaps the book is most useful as a bedside companion, something to dip into every now and again for a dose of inspiration. It is certainly not suited to a quick, one-time read.

i'm not so into these kind of books but it all depends on what we are looking for ! these days i want to be motivated and i really want to change a lot of things in my life , so it was very useful information on self-improvement for me at this point . it is a nice Book divided in four parts:

Part I: includes The Megaliving! Philosophy
Part II: consists of The 200 Powerful Master Secrets For Megaliving
Part III: has The Megaliving 30 Day Program
part IV: THE MEGALIVING! SUCCESSLOG

in this book Robin taught us how to achieve Mastery of the Mind, Body and Character. and he tells us the secrets of Mastering Our Body and how to Attaining Public Excellence and Private Victory through your Character.

Robin has given us in part II The 200 Powerful Master Secrets For Megaliving, I love that part because of its simple yet powerful Secret which one can easily follow. Although some of them i just don't think they are easy as he thinks, you know the real world is always tougher than the books world ;).

also i liked how he focused in body too. not just that pinky words that tells you for the million times " be positive , love your life ... etc ". i quote :

" Try fasting one day every two weeks. During these fast days, drink fruit juice and eat fresh fruits only. You will feel more energetic, cleansed and alert. Fasting also has a salutary effect on your will-power as you are subverting the otherwise pressing impulses in your mind calling on you to eat more."

go read it if you are seeking inspiration.

quotes i like :

* Your thoughts shape your world
* Stop being a prisoner of your past. Become the architect of your future
* Success on the outside begins with success on the inside.
* A super successful mindset does not happen in a day. You have to work hard on it just like any other worthy pursuit in life.
* Anything you faithfully and honestly believe you can achieve, you will achieve if you take persistent action in that direction.

A good book indeed, but clearly not my kind of book. it takes me a lot of self motivation to read any non-fictional work. It was my first Robin Sharma read, the book is more like what you mostly find in any motivational speech. It has some really inspiring lines and a few real life examples but I could not drag myself to the end of this book because it's really not the kind of book I like and beside that if you are a good reader—a good fiction reader, than there is always a lot of inspiration there you don't need to delve on these kind of books to find inspiration and after being habitual of fiction and beautiful words it seems so colorless and so bleak to read such books.
Despite of my claims that I didn't like the book much, I still recommend it to those who are searching for a good motivational book. If you are in search of motivation than this book is for you.

Did i just bought a book from someone who sells paper in a bus? Robin could do better if he just stops acting like a hawker, really.

Having said that, its fair to call it a good book with many simple advises; most of which are practical. I rated this 2 stars not because of the content - but because of repetition of it. Anyone who has read his other books The monk who sold his ferrari and Who will cry when you die will feel this. A huge number of times even same sentences are copy-pasted with a different arrangement.

And then he chose to write it unnecessarily long. To the point - is best.
So yes one should see what advises can he/she follow and i am sure it would bring some positives in life at least.

Inspiring book.
Who wouldn't wish to live a mega life?

The book is divided into three parts.

Part 1, is literally to the people who have lost hope. Where it improves the mind, body and soul.
Part 2, the most loved part. Here the author made the book even more interesting with 200 strategies to lead a positive life.

Part 3, 30-days program for a perfect life.

This book fades in comparison with the other masterpieces that Robin Sharma has authored though even this one has vignettes like "Maintain a sense of humility and realize that you can learn something from everyone. Every person you meet everyday is a teacher of some sort". How true.

It is a good book, but not a great one. Robin sharma can clearly do a great job of motivating one, but he was not able to make the reader interested enough to keep turning pages as he did in his book 'The monk who sold his Ferrari'.

Nice book. A lot of ways to improve your selves and your out look. A lot of repetition... But is still gud as it will allow u to remember. The listing of 200 secrets also has a lot of reps and many things said in diff wordings. Instead of 200 ... He could have gone for 50. Still nice work

When you read for the fiftieth time how this book is going to change your life in first ten pages, you are not sure if the author is trying to convince you or himself. Full of verbal diarrhea and snake oil claims , with nothing substantial to back it up. Unintentionally funny.
