A Book of Prayer: 365 Prayers for Victorious Living (Hardcover)
How many times did the days reading contain just the bible verse or the prayer I needed at the moment? How much blog material was supplemented with blessed moments from this sweet book? (All properly documented, of course)! The last fifth of the book contains so many valuable words to pray over our children. As I leaf back thru the pages, they seem like an old friend and I may not be able to pass this one on either.

Nice and easy book to read a paragraph to start the day

This was not my favorite devotional. It had its good and bad days I would have to say. Some were good and some weren't so good. I have to say the hardest part for me was reading the last section because it was praying for your kids which is great but I found it hard to have to constantly change the 1Che 1D or 1Cshe 1D to 1Cthey 1D or the other variations you could come up with. I know there is no way around that so it really shouldn't be a reflection on the author.

This book offers a year's worth of mini one page prayers. Each page also ends with scripture, either one verse or a few, that ties in with the prayer of the day. Many pages also include additional scripture embedded in the prayer itself. The book is divided into 5 sections. Two of the sections are definitely geared toward women, but there is no reason why a man could not use many of the same prayers. There also is one section devoted to praying parents, but again, there is no reason a person who is not a parent couldn't apply the prayer to some other young person in their life other than a personal child. Anything from the Word is inspirational to me and encouraging. There is peace in being able to claim God's promises from scripture.
