When her husband left her and their three little girls for one of his work colleagues, Justine did not take it lying down. The SAHM refused to be a victim and came out swinging. She ended up having one too many at the bar across the street from the corporate party where she planned to expose them and get a bit of her own back and things got way out of hand. Marcus Devereaux had just landed back in town after years of ignoring his grandfather’s pleas that he come home and take over the family business when the hot blonde called out her ex and his affair partner in a room full of businessmen and women. It was the beginning of the end for the confirmed bachelor who never believed there was a woman alive who could capture his interest and keep it.
Now, this could've been a higher rating book because I enjoyed over the top Marcus he was crazy enough for me, and he was faithful and obessed with his woman.. What bugged me was Justine "twin" justice inside her mind. Yes, she had a twin?? In her mind, who she talked to and it got confusing and annoying when he popped up. Then his "soul" transfered into one of there child's so now justice personality is in her daughter. Yeah.
Besides that mess. I love the revenge plan between Marcus and Justine she got her revenge against her ex husband and his mistress, who happened to be Marcus's stepsister, who he doesn't like or his stepmother. Because that affair from his Dad killed his mom. So the revenge was good. The spice was okay. Marcus had a big dick and gave her kitty a pounding, lol. And they got there hea

DNF @ 10% I have enjoyed this series. (they’re linked in the Kindle store) I was actually just telling my friend she should try it because IMO her writing style felt more polished. Then I got to this one and it reminded me of her earlier stuff. I can get behind her usual Jerry Springer-esque -- HotMess Express stuff, but this turned me off almost immediately.
I hated the tone, hated the way the h spoke, and I hated the weird male twin/invisible friend inner thought shtick.
Here’s a taste…
Bottom Line- Maybe this was supposed to be funny, but it didn’t work for me. This had the same feel as the OTT trash talking violent h from The Daughter In Law, another DNF for me. This one was a bummer, but I do recommend the others.
Three very funny stars because this book is crazy and I liked it. Both characters are cray cray, I should say they’re perfect for each other. The heroine has been married for ten years and has three kids, and she found out her husband has been cheating on her with a colleague. She makes a scene at his company party and I laughed like mad. The hero sees her and decides she’s the one. Just like that. And he’s the best thing you could even want. Hot, sexy. Rich, obsessed, caring, brave, protective. He takes care of her and her kids and destroys both her ex and the mistress who happens to be his hated stepsister. He hates cheaters since his dad dumped his mom and married another woman and his mom died. He hates his father, his stepmother and now his stepsister, and its hilarious to see how these characters acts and thinks. The heroine has some kind of inner persona who is a kind of twin, a male one, who talks to her when she’s in distress. The hero is so ok with this since he is quite the creep himself, since he’s planning revenge on his stepmother for decades. Everything is ok in the end, with the poor heroine who will have litters of children and the hero who’s proud of it. And the evil ones are either in jail or dead, what more do you expect in life? lol!
2.5 ⭐️⭐️ for the parts that I liked…. Mostly when the hero had his classic OTT JP moments that JS is known for…. Or used to be.
Man what’s with JS lately? Her recent years work has been loads of rubbish. But occasionally I see glimpses of her older stuff. The bulldozer possesive loyal crazy OTT JP hero that takes one look at the h and know that’s she it for him and won’t let anything stand in his way for f having her.
This could have been good if it wasn’t for the horrid constant banter between characters that lost me 90% of the time. AND HER “TWIN” BROTHER that lives in her head and NEVER SHUTS THE F UP.
I liked the revenge the H exacts for the h I love me a loyal faithful hero Single mom trope The smut was tame in this one
Overall I skimmed a lot of this and only read the good parts. It wasn’t great sadly….. but it could have been 😢
Nearly every time I try to review on Amazon ,it gets lost as I try to submit! When will I learn!😂 So here we go again.... At first I thought it a bit cray, cray and ott with Justice living inside her head. That is,the h,Justine's very vocal twin.Say what? You heard me correctly. Apparently a pseudo coping mechanism?? In any event, the dialogue got confusing at times, wondering who was actually speaking!😆 But soon enough, I fell head over for Marcus. No matter that is was silly Instalove to the Max.The dedication the man has for his woman, her pleasure, her comfort, safety her happiness and fulfillment was beyond impressive...as of course the 🍆 was large in charge and other worldly and stunningly frequent intimacy.Which led to large and in charge breeding! It is JS,after all! Perhaps most.admirable, the unique and creative fashion in which he provided for every parameters of his new family's heath, wellness and gratification. Most notable was the adeptly crafted precision of every facet of his Revenge plan! So yeah, ended up a fan! As I am of the series! Three down ,one to go having missed #3. No worries, I will be back tracking! Thank you for the plentiful enjoyment of your ex series,Ms Silver!

Needed a palate cleanser from all the distasteful books I’ve read recently and JS as always have the right amount (or right too much) OTT obsessed very LOYAL and batshit crazy MMCs who never fails to make me laugh 😮💨
Justine married and had three girls with the man she thought would be her ever after only to find him leaving her for his office romance affair. Justine is ticked, she wants revenge and she gets it at his company party. She never planned on catching the eye of Marcus Devereaux her ex's boss.
Marcus knows Justine is the one and he wants her by his side. He has revenge plans for her ex and will not let anyone harm her or her kids. Justine is in a whirlwind but she is about to find out she can have her happily ever after.
This was highly entertaining, think best in this series. Angsty but pre fun and Marcus was pure alpha male when it comes to Justine. Another great one from this author.
I wasn’t keen on Justine’s ‘twin’, her alter ego, Justice. Justice and their foul mouthed rants did not add to the story, it detracted. The author has an earlier book where there is a jive talking, filth spouting interior presence and it is a dreadful trope!
The author’s books often need a better editor with dialogue and scenes where the typos, incorrect grammar, and punctuation errors are numerous. I kept thinking ‘if only’ the interior dialogue by Justice was in italics! His, yes, he’s a boy twin, dialogue is straight up stream of consciousness and Justine answers him back. I could not tell who was talking and this was all through the book.
What Jordan Silver excels at is the OTT male point of view and the soul deep devotion to their woman. I’ve already said that I didn’t like ‘Justice’ and was disappointed that Justine is a weak heroine. I found her to be dimwitted and a lazy mother. Jordan Silver has written far better female MCs than this one.
Marcus was a good male MC, but only good. Something was majorly lacking in his and Justine’s insta relationship. And, the biggest flaw of all? Off page sex! In a Jordan Silver! Egregious! The full scene sex was miserly and too much in the female ‘ouchie’ POV in this dual POV book.
Where were the descriptions of main characters like Marcus, Monique, and Carl? I had no idea what they looked like.
I’m not digging these mean spirited vengeance books. I hope the author gets back to straight up romance and some more great couples.
Justine was an ignorant, crude, low class, foul mouthed woman who seriously needed therapy. She had an imaginary twin brother who lived in her head and came out and took control whenever she got drunk or angry.

Ohmygoodness! I have loved every word of this story! Laughed until I cried! Oh what a delightful story! Highly recommend this book. As always Jordan Silver delivered another awesome series! Hooked!💖🥰😘
2 peoples thoughts worked in night visits did not work here the fact that the thoughts in her head were male was just messed up and made me think multiple personality disorder
The book would be great, but the Justice character makes it hard to read and messes with the flow of the story. The book needs better editing as well. Maybe multiple personalities, evil twins, etc. Should be left out of Jordan's books from now on in order to keep otherwise good stories from being a crazy mess.
This book gave me a such a headache. The constant mental back and forth, multiple personalities and unlabeled dialogue caused me to receive no enjoyment from reading this book. It was such a disappointment because the previous book ( Stealing My Ex) in this series was phenomenal! The plot had great merit but the execution fell flat.
This was almost a DNF for me, but like a bad accident I couldn’t look away. For some reason the FMC had an internal dialogue with a “twin” that was a gay man. Not only did this make her seem to have mental problems, the writing often left me confused as to who was talking. There were constant interruptions by this “twin” in the form of song lyrics and commentary. Having a male internal voice also often contributed to typos and the incorrect use of pronouns which caused further confusion as to whom was speaking. I was able to look past the typos in the rest of this series, but this book was just too much. Don’t waste your time, you will never get it back!!
Way to much swearing for me, I get the women is supposed to be a boss lady. But you can write that and leave out all the curse worlds. Some characters just felt like they were going on and on about nothing really, just could not get into this book or the characters.
Jordan Silver knows how to spin a yarn, that is for sure. And this one grabs you straight out of the shoot with the way Jordan gets her characters so worked up. This is another one of her stories from, “The Ex Series.” This one made me laugh out loud way more than five times before you get through the first chapter.
The author is just so real in her dialogue. It's in the way she has the character talk to herself, Justine, and her twin, Justice, too. (Side note: Justice is her imaginary friend aka, twin.) It's only certain people allowed to know about him. A few barely even accept him. Her husband, Paul, does not have the patience for Justice. Nor does he want to take his precious time to find out what manifests Justice’s appearance at only certain times in Justine’s life.
Her parents and siblings decided that Justice was a male and had lived a hard life. He had no fear and was there when she needed some backbone. But, when Justine mixed with types of alcohol in one night, it was not pretty. Justice was a mean drunk. But, when her doctor called with the results of her test and told her she had an STI. She knew what she had to do and that night would be perfect because the work banquet was going on across the street from where she was drinking down her liquid courage.
She called the babysitter with some instructions she needed her to follow. Once she had. With her courage up she crossed the street in her Uggs and culottes. Yeah, when you're about to blow up your world as you know it on your terms you do it when the mood strikes you. Not after the fashion police had approved your outfit. So, ask her if she cared that she wasn't meeting the black tie formal attire. NOPE!
People did notice her like she wanted but she needed everyone's attention. So, she heads to the podium and straight for the mic. She proceeds to tell them all that he not only had an affair, but his side piece gave her an STI. Melanie tries to back away from him to distance herself, but of course, that’s when Justine says, something like, No bitch don’t sneak off you need to know the outcome. Justice starts to rear his mean self.
Once she said her piece or rather Justice did, Justine got off the stage and walked over to Melanie. That's when in a blur, Justine gobstops her. As Paul begins to bend down to help Melanie. Justine then connects her knee to his privates. And, then tells him to expect to hear from her lawyer because he’ll be served with divorce papers.
That's when everyone starts hearing small children yelling “Daddy, daddy!” Oh, Paul did I mention to you that this is your first weekend with the children? Since I know I have time on the books you owe me? I know you left me hanging more than once. It's at that moment when the babysitter wheels over the kid's suitcases. Justine kisses the kids goodbye. And walks out. Not knowing she is passing the new CEO who witnessed everything and is totally into her strong boss woman who is fighting for herself and her girls.
From that moment on she is in his sights and under his formal protection. This is an OTT Alpha Male book for sure. But, what is nice is he respects her and her marriage and holds himself back until the papers are signed. This has a lot of laughs, but there are a lot of bad things that can cause triggers too. But, I loved this book more than book one.
Every book I've read by JS has been 1-star but I really liked the idea of revenge on a cheating ex. My bad. I literally made it to the 2nd chapter before all this crap piled up:
1. This is how she describes their kids (yeah, they're also HERS and not step kids)
"while my stupid ass sat at home raising his asshole kids, that were doing their best to put me in an early grave."
2. She doesn't take responsibility for her shit. Besides calling her kids assholes and blaming their issues on their absentee father and not her shitty parenting, there is the fact that she has a split personality. Not in a cute way but legit she actually claims to have a man living in her body who takes control of her sometimes. This personality assaulted the mistress and husband about 2.5 seconds before her kids ran into the event. This was PLANNED for her kids to be dropped off?? To see their mother assault their father?? Now I know why your kids are so fucked up.
"My twin brother, who lives inside my head, was ready to rip and roar. Justice is a mean drunk."
3. She leaves this event after many drinks and admitting that she needed to be drunk to enact the best revenge. Alright, I get it. Multiple times in the first chapter she explains her reasons for being drunk and how drunk she got. Basically: she is aware that she is inebriated. So what does she do after she exits??
"I didn’t exactly catch up to her, but I reached my car just as she was pulling out of her spot, so it was easy to follow her. I asked myself a few times what the hell I was doing as I followed her out of the city, past the county line, and into the next state. We were on the road a good two hours before I realized we were headed to the beach."
And this is where the book and author are finally dead to me @ 5% because this bitch DROVE DRUNK FOR 2 HOURS??? I mean, I guess she's sober by now but how did sensitivity readers not flag ANY of this shit?? Is this author beyond caring about making her MCs even remotely good people? I don't care how much you hate your ex and I get that parenting can be difficult but THERE ARE SO MANY OTHER OPTIONS. Take a freaking ride share for all I care but the minute a "good" character makes a dumbass, selfish decision like this, I'm done. There is no saving this book for me.

Marrying My Ex's Boss, Book 4 of The Ex series, was about 32-year-old Justine Tanner, and 37-year-old Marcus Devereaux, the new CEO and heir-apparent to the Devereaux empire.
Warning: Be prepared for a book that borders on craziness, hilarity, and being outright nonsensical at times, because this book is loaded with all of the above.
Justine and Paul Tanner, the vice-president of the company he worked for, had been married for ten years, with three children under the age of six, when she learned he had been cheating on her for at least a year. When she found out, her soon-to-be ex-husband was at a work event with his mistress, who just happened to be Marcus' stepsister, Melanie. So she went to the bar across the street, had a few drinks, and then went to the hotel's ballroom to confront them in front of his co-workers. And confront them, she did!
Marcus, the "heir-apparent" to the Devereaux fortune/empire, witnessed the altercation along with the rest of the staff in the ballroom. However, he was more interested in Justine than in what was going on, so he followed her out of the hotel, then tailed her car for another hour before she pulled over, marched back to his car, and pulled a gun on him, sending him into a fit of laughter. He had already determined she would be his just as soon as her upcoming divorce was finalized.
This was full of angst, drama, and a whole lot of revenge, with just a touch of spiciness. Once again, they revenge plot was well-written and took the entire story to fulfill. Everyone who messed up got the full comeuppance due to them, and it was awesome.
Marcus and Justine were both headcases, and the hilarity from these two was off the charts. Justine had a "twin" named Justice...who lived in her head and "made" her do/say things, while Marcus had conversations with his genitalia, his heart, and his head. Oh, and the two of them weren't opposed to sharing a joint now and then. Oh, and at least two secondary characters were just as bat-sh*t crazy. This is going to be FUN!
I only gave this a four-star rating because it needed a bit more tweaking than the book before, but it was still worth taking the time to read it.
This one was....different. The h has an imaginary "twin" that exist in her mind...and the twin is male??!! The constant dialogue with the twin and h was annoying to me as a reader as well as distracting.
The H was OTT J/P and well "hung" as are all of this author's Hs.
Cheating = h's husband, not the H, cheats with coworker (OW, who is also step sister of the H) and is confronted at work party. h makes the announcement at the podium about husband's cheating and with whom, which is witnessed by the H who is struck with instant obsession for h. H follows h and pretty much never leaves her alone after. H manipulates everything in his favor - orchestrating h's divorce, setting up marriage to h, taking over care of the h's kids, keeping h safe and sequestered, dealing just desserts to h's husband/OW/step mother/etc.
OW drama = h dealt with the OW on her own in the beginning, but after that, H took over the managing and destruction of the OW.
Of all the recent books the author has put out, if this had been the first I read, I would not have continued reading. I feel generous giving 2 stars as I was just not a fan of this one.
