Another incredible read in the A Chance for Charity series. Chalisa gets to participate in A Chance for Charity to win a million dollars for her charity. The plus side is that it is in Magna where the rest of her family lives. Then she arrives and discovers that her partner is none else but Aiden who ghosted her after rescuing her months ago.
Aiden is constantly trying to fight his feelings for Chalisa in order to honor the vow he made to his grieving father and has to learn not to live in fear of something happening.
It was so good to be back in Magna. What a delight to see familiar faces from a few of Checketts' previous series. Impossible Crusade had a unique challenge for Aiden and Chalisa set in Magna. This story had suspense at the beginning and end.

Aiden is the second most famous security specialist around. While on vacation in Mexico and walking on the resort beach, Chalisa is attacked by Jorge, a drug lord and evil man. Just as she is pinned beneath him in imminent danger, Jorge is pulled off by Aiden who is there working a security detail. They spend a few hours trying to evade Jorge's men and both fall in love only to have Aiden leave her with a sad promise that they can never be together. Fast forward 3 months and Chalisa goes to Magna where her mom and sister live to be on a charitable reality TV show for a week. This is a fun read with great characters.

Much different scenario for the challenges in this book. Aiden and Chalisa have a backstory that no one else is aware of. Aiden is continually trying to fight his feelings for Chalisa in order to honor his vow to his father. Their relationship journey is amazing to see develop. The author has written very likable characters that you want to know better. I really loved reading this story.

She has been chosen to participate in the Impossible Crusade in order to win a million dollars for her charity. Visiting her family will be a plus. I loved this book and now want to read all of the books that relate to this one in any way. The island of Magna is enchanting and old worldly. The competition for charity was intriguing. The suspense intertwined made parts of the book nail-biting. The connection and attraction between Chalisa and Aiden was intense. Overall, I found this story charming and engaging. I definitely recommend this book!

Action packed and full of romance. Aiden and Chalisa were total opposites and that usually doesn’t work out to well. Maybe not. It was wonderful to visit the family of Magna again. The author should visit more of the families she created. You will love this book just as much as I did. Keep them coming Cami.

You know you are reading a writer who can evoke strong emotions when you don't take your daily blood pressure reading while reading this author. I did think the angst went on a little too long and I found a pronoun grammatical error (I used instead of me) and a typo ("Someone pumped up the plane stairs...") on page 229 when the word should have been jumped.

unreasonable vows
Action, kidnapping, heroes, love and fear. A wonderful story of love, complicated by promises extracted by a hurting father, who didn’t want his son to suffer the loss of a loved one like he had. This son finally realizing that he was better to love and have her in his life as long possible than never at all.

I enjoyed this episode of the romantic and challenging reality TV show. While it didn't have quite as much danger as some of them it had loads of romantic tension.

Sweet Romance
This book still had some suspense, but it was more about the vow he made to his grieving father. Chalisa was super nice, even when Aiden was being repetitive about his inability to be anything other than bionic. This story had more suspense at the beginning and end.

One for the ages
This one means a lot to me. Chalisa and Aiden have found love and lost. Everlasting love is what they call it.
I think I would recommend reading the Royal series, as there is a lot of sub characters that are mentioned that know want to their backstory.

Almost Perfect
Another good book from Checketts, but there is one thing wrong with it —- too much we love but it’s a doomed love.

Impossible Crusade
Aiden and Chalisa’s story was captivating and inspiring. I loved it. What a wonderful story. You will not be able to put it down. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

Another great story!’
I like this series. It takes my mind to a world I have never visited but I enjoy the ending. Yes there are some scary hard moments but it makes the story so enjoyable.

Captain Aiden Porter, second top security specialist in the world, has been chosen by Mercedes Belle, billionaire, to join with Chalisa Anderson, nurse practitioner and founder of a charity for nurses, in her TV reality program, Chance for Charity. This program pits two civilians against two SEALS in a series of exercises to show which team can get the most points. The winning team gets a million dollars for their favorite charity. Chalisa's charity is is need of the money and she thinks they are well worth fighting for. They are taken to the Kingdom of Magna to train in the sports they will be tested in. In Aiden's case, to be refreshed in most of them.
Aiden was brought up to believe that loving a person would eventually harm him and break down his desire to do his duty to help others. After their mother's death, Aiden and his brother Ike were taught not to let anyone get in emotionally and set up a relationship or that would bring them down and keep them from attaining their goals. However, when Aiden and Chalisa had first met, there was a spark between them and he could not forget her. But when he had left, he had broken her heart.
What will happen this time when they are in such close quarters for a week and need to depend on each other? How will this spark affect the contest?
