Tyla Walker has always been a writer, ask anyone who’s ever met her. Growing up in Georgia, she spent every summer barbecue weaving wild stories. Her momma always encouraged her, and she couldn’t have done it without her.
Tyla writes hot and fun romances, inspired by her own relationship. Her husband reads all her stories and helps her figure out the spice and action.
I have a hard time with the flowery poetic words for every sex scene. It just doesn't flow. It's so odd to read and a big contrast to the rest of the story. It just seems tedious and boring rather than passionate. Jasmine also was way to insecure. She definitely needed therapy. She carried so much drama from her childhood to her adulthood so it was easy to paint Cameron as an unredeemedable sinner. She needed to get her shit together. And the jealousy she has for her sister was just ridiculous. And Jasmine saying Cameron was acting like an ass when he sent the flowers was crazy because she was the only one acting like a psycho bitch. I honestly wish he didn't take her little judgemental jaded ass back.
Pucked At First Sight: A BWWM Hockey Fake Marriage Romance by Tyla Walker. This is a cute tale of Cameron West, hockey player extraordinaire, and Jasmine Morris. Jasmine's path crosses with Cameron a known player when her married sister inadvertently has her picture taken with Cameron along with a scandalous headline. To save his career, Cameron now has to embark on a fake relationship and engagement with Jasmine. Her PR firm has been bought in to help with the rouse. As the two spend time together, they learn a lot about each other. They soon discover they not only enjoy each other's company but they have common interests. They also discover that they like spending time with each other. And of course, they start crossing that line between fake to something more. It's a really romantic story that just continued to grow over time. I truly enjoyed their journey to their happily ever after. A 4 star read for me.
Although the title of the work can be stronger, Tyla Walker does a nice job of weaving a unique romance plot for the couple, Jasmine and Cameron! You will definitely take a journey with these two characters in this enemies to lovers novel.
I have to say Walker takes readers further than most novelists would after the story has already resolved, and most may think it could end sooner. But I love seeing what happens after everything has settled and enjoy the characters being together without all of the drama.
I would have liked to see Jasmine more in her element as a Publicist and I especially loved seeing how their relationship impacted Cameron while he was on the ice. One of my favorite scenes!
Overall, an endearingly sweet story and a quick, low-drama read!

This book has jump started my summer reading. It has a light but hot as the sun feel. The relationship between all of the characters is well felt. Especially the chemistry between Jasmine and Cameron. Their chemistry is definitely not fake.
I’m SOOO looking forward to seeing more of this team…lol…

The FMC has way too many issues that didn't get resolved. She kind of dislikes her sister and feels inferior to her. At times, I am unsure if what's happening, if it is taken out of context. Nothing is ever brought up between them, nor is her low self-esteem something that is touched on by others. MMC was fine, he was never terrible, just a golden retriever that may have been hurt in the past. Insta-Lust. Mention of off screen love interests, never introduced. No break-up, brief separation.
Jasmine tries to assist her sister out of a possible scandal. But by doing so finds herself being the girlfriend of notorious playboy Cameron West. Can Jasmine and Cameron avert the scandal or really start a new and even bigger one themselves? Good read.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. It was meant to be fake to save reputations but close quarters and getting to know each other has it becoming real. Cameron and Jasmine fall in love for real. Cameron becomes a better man while Jasmine gains confidence in herself.
This is a cute read about a hockey bad boy, Cameron, who has had one too many scandals and a plan is hatched to orchestrate a fake engagement to a PR Specialist, Jasmine. I won’t give too much away about why these two are brought together but this is really not a love at first sight kind of novel. It’s a bit of a slower burn. Their initial meeting is not ideal but Cameron is intrigued by Jasmine. Eventually their attraction grown but Cameron’s past starts to catch up with him. Jasmine is dealing with her own past. Both their issues complicate their budding relationship.
I liked this book. Cameron has to grow on you, and at first you really wonder if he has any redeeming qualities. Then overtime you find that he is really a good guy and once he falls for Jasmine he does fall hard. If you like a good romance with a stranger Fake Fiancé component, this is a cute read.
Can his playboy image really be diffused by “fake marrying” the PR person who is “Miss Perfect” in his eyes? Certain messes and obstacles say the odds are stacked against it. The dynamics of the reading kept me well engaged!💚🦋
Very sweet, very romantic kinda typical jock meets a challenge and the bets are on until what was fake turns to true passionate love, only to be sure railed by past actions that could derail hea
