When the original book, the film adaptation, and the art book all make you emotional, you know you have something special in your hands. Absolutely gorgeous artwork and an inspiring recollection of the creative process behind it.

A really beautiful artwork full of character sketches, landscape paintings, photographs and detailed written explanations about the process of developing the film.
The Wild Robot instantly became my favourite film, so being able to read about the behind the scenes and the process was really enlightening and enjoyable.
Can't wait for the second movie 😉

They include such gorgeous work, sketches of the characters but also wonderfully painted like scenery and breathtaking large spreads. You can really take in the details. Speaking of details, the book also describes their process, as well as the story, very well. It even has a story from the author about how it all began and his background.

One of my most favorite art books as of late!

Finally finished! It took many months to get through the book. A lot of redundant text and recaps of the movie, wanted more insight in process and strategy. Overall still a fascinating book. So many paintings, boards, designs, explorations that made this film possible. One of my fav animated movies ever.
