Don't miss this race-against-the-clock story of suspense and intrigue from a USA Today bestselling author. One obscure Babylonian artifact in the hands of terrorists could bring down an entire city…
When antiquities professor Bryan Wright is tasked with discovering why a band of terrorists might target a museum in Munich, he teams up with the museum’s attractive exhibit designer to study their ancient artifacts. Something in this collection holds special value to the terrorists, and Bryan must figure out which item and why—before enemies get their hands on it.
An American living in Munich, Sophie Chapman wouldn’t have expected to be attracted to a musty old antiquities professor—but this guy is neither musty nor old. Even so, she’s not ready for a new boyfriend, considering she hasn’t figured out how to get rid of the old one. When her apartment is broken into, she has bigger worries than the ex who won’t leave her alone.
The seemingly random break-in is anything but. Terrorists are closing in, and their plot will destroy more than the romance growing between Bryan and Sophie.
It’ll destroy everything they hold dear.
Terrorism, romance, and a 20-year-old mystery with shades of Raiders of the Lost Arc thrown in. The stakes couldn't be higher as evil men plot to take down their enemies--and any innocent civilians who get in their way. And that's just one part of their plan.

Robin Patchen is a USA Today bestselling and award-winning author of Christian romantic suspense. She grew up in a small town in New Hampshire, the setting of her Nutfield Saga books, and then headed to Boston to earn a journalism degree. After college, working in marketing and public relations, she discovered how much she loathed the nine-to-five ball-and-chain. After relocating to the Southwest, she started writing her first novel while she homeschooled her three children. The novel was dreadful, but her passion for storytelling didn’t wane. Thankfully, as her children grew, so did her writing ability. Now that her kids are adults, she has more time to play with the lives of fictional heroes and heroines, wreaking havoc and working magic to give her characters happy endings. This is the author's best series yet! Finding You is a great addition with continued international adventures. This time most of the action takes place in Munich, Germany. The two main characters were easy to like, especially Bryan, who is an antiquities professor. When his CIA brother asks him to look for something out of place at a museum, Bryan has no idea of the danger he is about to be in the middle of.
Look forward to the next in the series.
My gratitude to the author for a complimentary e-copy of the book. I was not required to post a review and all opinions expressed are my own.
I really like this book! This series is so good! The story keeps you so excited to see what happens next. The love story is sweet and not too cliche. It’s a great read ! Cannot wait for book 4.
Another great romantic suspense novel from Robin Patchen! This is the 3rd installment in the Wright Heroes of Maine series. Though the story itself will easily stand alone, I'd recommend reading at least Rescuing you as the main characters in that book are solid minor characters in this one. There are also minor spoilers for Running To You in this one and even from the Coventry saga, Courage in the Shadows and A Mountain Too Steep. If you've read all of those, you will enjoy this one more thoroughly. If you haven't, you can still enjoy this one, but you may have some spoilers if you read the others later. This book follows Bryan, who I've been dying to get to know more since he first showed up in Courage in the Shadows. Bryan is a history professor and has always felt "less than" in the shadow of his more "heroic" brothers. When the opportunity presents itself to get a "behind the scenes" look at ancient babylonian artifacts before they go on display at a museum in Munich, he jumps at the opportunity, especially since it will give him the opportunity to spend more time with the pretty museum employee who is a friend of his brother's girlfriend Leila. When it's discovered that one of the pieces is a key to a terrorist plot, things kick up a few notches.
This book had a lot of things going for it. Lots of intense action, different cultures, great character development, likable and relatable main characters, good romance, and a solid faith thread. I enjoyed how the characters sharpened each other in their dialogue and brought to their attention the areas that needed more Jesus in their lives. Though the romance moved faster than I like, the depth of conversation is what prompted it along more quickly, which felt more realistic. I enjoyed the historical tie-ins, and how the author used Bryan's strengths and his weaknesses to make him the hero for this book. I enjoyed all the twists and turns in this one and am excited to see what happens next! Special thanks to the author for an advance e-copy of this novel. I was under no obligation to provide a review and the thoughts contained herein are my own.
This was the third in a series about the Wright brothers, but it can be read as a stand alone. It did make me want to read the books about the other brothers. Finding You is about a flawed hero, history professor Bryan, and an American, Sophie who works in a Museum in Munich. So lots of fascinating scenery. It also included danger and intrigue featuring terrorists. Bryan and Sophie are strong Christians who have a heart for lost souls and also want to do something for their country. The opportunity comes up for Bryan to identify an artifact, but soon the task turns dangerous. They search for a hidden cache of something that is vital to security, but they need to follow a clue to even know what it is! A favorite character was Aaron who runs a mission for refugees in Munich. He follows God and leaves the consequences to Him. Both Bryan and Sophie are dealing with backgrounds that could effect their Christian walk but they ultimately seek God and work through difficulties. I loved the solid faith thread and lessons taught. *A complimentary copy of this book was provided by the author. I was not required to post a favorable review. All opinions are mine alone.*
Oooh... these Wright brothers just get better and better! (You really should read these books in order, because they are more connected than author Patchen's previous series. And they are so good!) If you've read the first two books in this series, you already know about Bryan Wright, the brother who was injured and uses a cane as a result. But there's a whole lot about Bryan we didn't learn in those books. He's got some issues - yes - but who doesn't? And he's finally met someone who just might pull him out of the shell he's hidden behind for so long. If the terrorists don't find them first. Terrorists? Oh. Did I forget to mention them? Well... you'll have to read the book to find out what happens next.
Robin Patchen has done it again with another amazing story/book. This is book three in The Wright Heroes of Maine series. Even though this is book three it can be read as a stand alone. I do however, personally recommend reading book two “Rescuing You”. It will help explain some of the characters as a few of them flow over from book two to book three.
In this book you meet Bryan Wright, the second youngest of the Wright brothers. Bryan was hurt in a climbing accident as a kid and walks with a limb and uses a cane. He is a college antiquities professor.
Next you meet Sophie Chapman. She is best friends with Leila who we met in book two “Rescuing You”. Sophie lives in Munich, Germany and works at a museum designing art exhibits.
Sophie goes to a restaurant and meets up with Leila and most of the Wright brothers. After eating she tells everyone about her museum hosting a Babylonian artifact exhibit. Michael the older of Bryan encourages him to go see the artifacts before they go on display at the museum. Michael knows how much his brother has wanted to see those artifacts. Michael tells Bryan that he believes someone is after one of the artifacts that will be displayed at the museum. Bryan agrees to go and check things out. Once Bryan lands in Munich he and Sophie go to the museum and check out the artifacts. As he and Sophie are looking through the artifacts, he noticed that one of the items is not part of the Babylonian time period. Bryan quickly calls Michael with his information. Someone then breaks into the museum to steal that item. Sophie is almost kidnapped, but she’s able to escape with the artifact. As Sophie and Bryan are on the run to protect the artifact, they are being followed by a killer that will stop at nothing to get that piece back.
Come along a fast-paced , action packed adventure with Bryan and Sophie as they try and out run a killer. I highly recommend this book. You won’t be disappointed! Happy Reading!
Another of the Wright brothers comes to the rescue! "Finding You" is my most favorite story in this series thus far. Bryan Wright is an antiquities professor. He always wanted to be a "hero" like his brothers, but a childhood injury ended his dream of joining the military. However, when Bryan's CIA brother asks him to travel to Munich to look at a museum collection that would soon be traveling to Iraq, he jumped at the opportunity. And, of course, traveling with the attractive Sophie Chapman didn't hurt either. Bryan's task was to discover why a suspected terrorist group was interested in the collection and targeting Munich. When Bryan jumps into his assignment deeper than his brother intended, the excitement and danger intensify. Sophie works at the museum in Munich, because her family in the U.S. has no hold on her. Her heart is to serve God in an outreach in Munich; the museum is her paying job. That is, until danger advances its reach by breaking into her apartment, the museum, and even the outreach center. Sophie joins with Bryan to find the people who have now made her the top suspect in a co-worker's death and museum break-in. "Finding You" is a riveting and exciting edge-of-your-seat romantic suspense that takes place in beautiful Munich with a castle, mountains, and Christmas market. Bryan's and Sophie's lives are transformed as they handle crisis after crisis. Their faith is challenged. And, yes, there's that swoonworthy kiss (or two!). Will Bryan be able to rescue Sophie, and at what cost? He never thought he could be a hero, but maybe?? Can the Wright brothers come to the rescue once again? I highly recommend this clean romantic suspense with edge of your seat, nail biting suspense. I received a complimentary ARC of this book and have voluntarily given my honest opinion in this review.
FINDING YOU is the third novel in the Wright Heroes of Maine series by ROBIN PATCHEN, but although I like reading the series in sequence, it can easily stand alone. The story is exciting, the characters unforgettable and the Christian message strong. I guarantee you will not be able to put the book down. The story starts with Muslim terrorist Hasan Mahmoud breaking into Sophia Chapman’s apartment in Munich to look for clues to the whereabouts of a stash of weapons that Saddam Hussein had hidden in Germany. There is an exhibition of Babylonian artifacts about to take place at the Munchen Meisterwerke Galerie where Sophie works designing art exhibits, and one of the exhibits is thought to contain a clue to show where the weapons have been hidden. Sophie also works at a mission where Muslim refugees are led to Christ and families are helped with food and clothing, which is another reason for Hasan to hate her….. Bryan Wright meets Sophie in Shadow Cove where she is visiting her best friend Leila, Bryan’s brother Michael’s fiancee. Michael, the undercover CIA agent, has heard of something going down at the exhibition and asks Bryan, the antiquities professor, in absolute secrecy, to go back to Munich with Sophie and look through the exhibits for anything suspicious, not realising the danger he is putting them in….. I like the way both Bryan’s and Sophie’s characters are developed throughout the story and how they bring out the best in each other. I am not going to tell you any more for fear of spoiling things for you. I cannot recommend Finding You strongly enough and am looking forward to the next book in the series.
Robin Patchen keeps ramping up the action, suspense, and excitement. If it were not for other responsibilities, I would have read this book straight through. The story starts with a Muslim man breaking into the apartment of an American woman who was living in Munich, Germany. She has something he wants, but that something is not revealed until much later in the book. Meanwhile, she is visiting friends in Shadow Cove, Maine, where she meets the Wright brothers, Bryan in particular. Somehow, this reader got the impression that Bryan was set up by his brother Michael from the start. Next thing we know, Bryan is on a flight to Germany with Sophie to view a collection of antiquities from the Ancient Middle East that will be displayed at the museum where Sophie works. Suddenly, the story shifts from a group of siblings and their special friends enjoying a seafood dinner to Munich and a museum under attack by terrorists. And Sophie finds herself on the run with no way to contact Bryan and not knowing where to turn for safety. At the center of the attack is the man who broke into her apartment in the opening chapter. The tension mounts as Bryan finds her and they try to figure out where they can go to find safety. Their strong faith keeps them from total despair. In the midst of everything else, they find themselves being drawn to each other. As you can see, the story includes so many elements to keep the reader pressing forward to find out what will happen next. Grab a copy, get on the edge of your seat, and dig in for an exhilarating ride. I received an advance copy of this book from the author. This is my honest review. All opinions are strictly my own.
Finding You is the third book in Robin Patchen's The Wright Heroes of Maine series. This is a wonderful series, The second book, Rescuing You, and this one are two of my most favorite Patchen books. As one of my favorite authors, that is saying a lot. In this story Professor Bryan White travels to Germany to get a look at some Middle Eastern antiquities before they were put on display in a museum in Munich. Little did he know what the ramifications of this visit would be professionally and personally as he is not the only one seeking to examine this group of artifacts, and not everyone's motives are academic. Sophia Chapman is in Maine visiting her friend, Leila, Bryan's future sister-in-law. She just so happens to design exhibits at the very museum housing the Middle Eastern antiquities Bryan longs to examine. Sophia's childhood had left her confused about many things, but most importantly about what gives her life worth. The theme of personal worth is a major component of this story. The theme is developed through a story of adventure and courage, as is that of the proper place of works in the life of a Christian. I highly recommend Finding You and the other books in The Wright Heroes of Main series. Readers will find themselves holding their breath, experiencing moments of angst, feeling sentimental, and cheering on those finding themselves in unexpected circumstances. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author via Book Funnel without obligation. All opinions expressed here are my own.
"'Princess.' He leaned down, his voice a whisper in her ear. 'Let me be your knight. Please?'"
Shall we back up to the beginning of the story?
Antiquities professor Bryan Wright and museum exhibit designer Sophie Chapman meet in Maine, in the pouring rain, over a borrowed umbrella. At the time, they had no idea they were heading to the same restaurant, to eat with the same people.
Fast forward . . . . they converge again just a few days later in Germany so that Bryan can preview a recently acquired collection at the museum where Sophie is employed; the items having been famously looted from the National Museum in Iraq. Having a brother in national intelligence makes Bryan's curiosity about the items go deeper than anyone, including Sophie, could be made aware. Fasten your seat belt, hang on for the ride, a damsel in distress, knight-in-shining-armor kind of story is about to begin!
What I loved most about this book was the fact that in spite of (and maybe because of) the forcible momentum of the plot, the sweetness of Sophie and Bryan's budding relationship was never overshadowed or diminished. Snatches of conversation were intentional and meaningful, the spiritual elements proving to be faith building for characters and readers alike for, "The mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha."
"Surround us with Your warrior angels, Lord. We need you." Sophie and Bryan, through no fault of their own, end up in an impossible situation. Enjoy reading how the God of "nothing is impossible" shows up.
Every book in this series pulls you in and doesn’t let go and Bryan’s story is one of the best so far.
Bryan spent a large part of his life looking back at all he missed because of an injury he blamed on his brothers. He settled for a job he enjoyed but that contained no risk. That is until he meets Sophie and his brother convinces him to take a break and go to Munich to view an exhibit in the gallery where she works.
Little did he know a simple job of looking for a particular item that might be of interest to terrorists will soon bring all of the excitement he might have been missing. Stolen relics, secret codes, terrorists, and a damsel in distress—what more could he ask for?
When terrorists break into the museum where she’s working late Sophie barely escapes with the item they’re looking for. On the run she connects with Bryan to see if they can figure out what the terrorists want. As they embark on a journey into the wilderness, what could possibly go wrong? Wanted by the police, terrorists at her heels, a mystery to solve, and a handsome man as her companion—what else could she ask for?
I absolutely love the way Robin lays out a story. The relationships grow in a way that makes them real and the characters have depth and unique personalities. The action is paced perfectly with breaks that allow the reader to take a breath and then amp up the adrenaline. Get ready for this one, you won’t be able to put it down.
Romantic Suspense at its Best… never underestimate those Wright Brothers
If you’re a reader that wants to feel what is happening and actually ‘see’ the drama unfold, then you are in for a treat. You’ll need to set aside uninterrupted time because once the drama begins it doesn’t let up nor slow down. Hmmm, how far will a man go to keep his woman safe? Let’s just say, you won’t be disappointed.
I must warn you, the intensity can bring about a tug of war of emotions in this international arena. Middle Eastern terrorists have to be stopped, but how? And now it’s Bryan Wright that’s caught right in the middle of it all. If you’ve read earlier books in this series, you’re familiar with the Wright brothers, and trust me, you DO NOT want to mess with them. Bryan may be crippled but he’s anything but weak. And let’s just say, he’s got brothers always ready, willing and able to step in if necessary.
Again, if you like intrigue, heart throbbing action, alongside good boys taking on bad boys, this book is for you. This may be fiction, but it’s all too real.
I was given an advance copy of this book and freely leave my review.
Ooh! This was a good one!! A race against terrorists to stop an imminent, yet unknown attack on the U.S. This is part of a series and I would say it would be difficult to follow the characters without having read the previous two books, but they are also well worth the read so I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them too. This is a clean, Christian romance with some good suspense. I absolutely loved the beginning. There is also an added epilogue but it doesn’t reveal very much. I am very much looking forward to the next book as I know the story doesn’t end here, although it doesn’t leave on a cliffhanger. It was great to read about Bryan, the professor brother. The two main characters in this story are very likeable and I felt they were a good match also. I would’ve liked to have known what happened to her ex-boyfriend, but maybe more of his story will be told in the next book. I was very nervous for Aaron and his family and I hope to read more about him also in the future. This latest of Ms Patchen’s books definitely gets the thumbs up from me!
This is an author I am so glad I gave a try two years ago this month when I read Innocent Lies. She never disappoints with her faith-filled non-stop suspense novels.
Of her three series, this one is definitely her best...and shortest. There are 6 Wright brothers, and two of them - Grant and Daniel - had their stories in the Coventry Saga Series. So that leaves 4 brothers, meaning 4 books.
This book centers on Bryan, and the author did an awesome job on his and Sophie's story. Both characters are very likable and complement each other perfectly. Both have flaws, and there are some great lessons to be learned, especially in Sophie's character....I won't give spoilers or too many details, but I will say we can be a Christian and have a totally skewed view of our self worth and purpose.
There was a lot of suspense and bad guys, and Bryan had to learn that God could use him even with his bad leg, and that we can get ahead of God's leading and purpose.
The book had a great plot, and I totally enjoyed it and the bonus epilogue.
This book was outrageously amazing! I enjoyed it so much. Ms. Patchen keeps getting better with every book she writes! I honestly don't know where authors get their idea's from, to keep writing numerous books and so many series and yet you find some that just meet people in their imagination that they just have to share with us. Sophie is so absolutely different from Bryan in their lifestyle, personality and wants from life. When they embark on this dangerous journey, you expect clash after clash. Yet somehow they are able to face unbelievable challenges and still remain friends. This book doesn't just have lots of suspense, it is a clean read with people that are learning where to look in times of desperate need. The characters are so human, they can rip each other apart and then laugh, what we all need to learn so much. Forgiveness is an awesome thing to find. Thank you so much to the publisher for allowing me to read an advance copy of such a great story. This review is my own honest opinion.
A solid Christian Suspense Romance, Finding You: Deception and Danger in Shadow Cove, is the third book in Robin Patchen’s The Wright Heroes of Maine. In this installment we follow brother Bryan Wright. Having been injured in a fall when he was a boy Bryan continues to have difficulties with his leg and uses a cane to walk. Resentment at never being able to follow the career he dreamed of as a child has created rifts in his relationship with his brothers. But his expertise in antiquities makes him the perfect person for his CIA Agent brother Michael to send on a trip to Munich to determine why something in the museum is attracting the attention of Muslim extremists.
Sophie Chapman, a friend of Leila’s who works at the museum comes to America. With her connection to the museum, she and Bryan find themselves thrown together when the terrorists strike.
Fast paced and entertaining, this is another good blend of suspense, action, and romance in a clean, Christian Suspense Romance book by Robin Patchen.
Find You is book 3 in Patchen’s Christian fiction series The Wright Heroes of Maine series. But it works well as a standalone.
This story features Bryan, one of the Wright brothers, who has a bum leg from a childhood accident. Over the years, it’s affected more than his physical body. Sophie lives in Germany and works with and witnesses to Muslim immigrants. She has issues from her childhood that still haunt her. They meet, but it’s not clear if they’ll get together. They live in different countries, for one, but also they need to deal with their past hurts.
Meanwhile, terrorists descend on the two of them, and the terrorists want their hands on a stash of weapons of mass destruction. Suddenly, this sweet “romantic suspense” becomes a “romantic thriller”! It’s nail-biting, and I was glued to the page.
I like the way both main characters seek God’s direction. I also like that Patchen doesn’t try too hard to wrap up the story in a rush or tie up everything in a neat bow. The ending is perfect.
Bryan Wright had dreams for his future but an accident when he was a boy ended them and he has never stopped playing the blame game. Now, he has a chance to use his antiquities expertise to stop a terrorist. On the plus side, it will allow him to study unique antiquities and spend time with the beautiful woman he met at his family gathering. On the minus side, it’s dangerous and if he fails there will be no one to blame but himself.
Sophia Chapman loves her life in Germany. She works at an art museum and, more importantly, at a faith-based refugee center. She was surprised when Bryan accepted the invitation to see an ancient collection her museum is temporarily housing. He is an interesting man. Someone she wouldn’t mind spending more time with.
The suspense in this book is spine-tingling. I couldn’t put it down! Robin Patchen weaves romance, faith, and terrorism into a masterpiece. I received an advance copy but my review is honest and voluntary.
On his way to meet his brothers at a restaurant, Bryan Wright loans his umbrella to a young lady who is outside in the rain carrying on a rather distressed conversation on her cellphone. Little did he realize what a drastic change was in store for the two of them. It turns out that the young woman, Sophia, is a friend to his future sister-in-law and works at a museum in Germany. As an antiquities professor, Bryan is asked to examine objects for an upcoming exhibit at that museum, however, terrorists are also interested in this exhibit, but why--what secrets does it hold? Thus, Bryan and Sophia unwittingly become involved in a dangerous adventure and wonder if they will get out of it alive. They are quickly falling in love, but first they have to escape a harrowing situation with their lives intact. This is a fast-paced intriguing story. Once again, Ms. Patchen has written a fascinating and clean book which I highly recommend.
I received an ARC of this book; the opinions expressed are strictly my own.
Finding You by Robin Patchen was my first read in this series. Yes, I know it's best to read stories in order, but if I happen to pick up book three first, as I did in this case, and can read the story without feeling lost, then the author did a great job.
What I really liked: The setting swept me away to Europe. This was a big plus. Sometimes, traveling to another country with characters is so dreamy. I see places I might not have seen, or in my case, visit places I saw at a distance. Second, the plot was different from other current stories. It pulled up homages to Indiana Jones while talking about terrorists, which I think will always be a current topic no matter where a person is in the world.
The reason why I didn't give this story a five was because the wrap-up lasted too long, in my opinion. Had that same info been incorporated with the live story, it would have been more enjoyable. Nonetheless, it is a good story, and I still recommend it.
Finding You by Robin Patchen is an excellent story for 2 major reasons: first, as a story, it's filled with intrigue, danger, excitement, romance! It will keep you up at night to finish. Bryan and Sophie meet 'by chance' at a dinner with Bryan's family, which turns into him going to Germany to review artifacts at the museum that Sophie works at. Those artifacts turn out to be the focus of terrorists, and the story just explodes (in a good way!) from there!
The second reason it's excellent is how well Robin weaves in Gospel truths, life lessons about letting go of past hurts and wrong beliefs. How the Bryan and Sophie help each other to believe that they are precious in God's eyes just as they are, that their past doesn't define them: God does! I can't imagine anyone reading this book wouldn't be changed as well, even in a small way, as they ponder the truths within the pages.
As always, this is another well written book by Robin Patchen. She has a gift of capturing the attention of the reader from the first chapter and the book is difficult to put down after. This is about Bryan, one of the handsome, strong men of the Wright family only ... Bryan is handicapped. Injured his leg when he was young and uses a cane - not hero material. Unless you are trusting God to work things out in a foreign land, Germany. His expertise in antiquities has him equipped to find a necessary artifact and figure out why it is important. Sophie is dedicated to her job in the museum plus a nearby mission as well as a gifted artist - also very quick thinking on her feet when it counts. This book has lots of adventure, mystery and opportunities for Bryan and Sophie to grow in their faith as well as their relationship with one another. I highly recommend.
How well do you know where things are in your home? Would you be able to tell if someone broke in but didn’t take anything?
Bryan Wright, an antiquities professor, is asked to help discover what terrorists could possibly want from a little known display in Munich, Germany. Obviously more than he expected as the danger mounts the longer he spends time in the company of Sophie Chapman, museum employee. A mysterious ivory chest, another break-in, murder and running away will keep you wondering if any of this is worth it. Can they trust that God knows what is happening and that He has it in control? Will they get rescued in time or is Sophie really not worthy of a rescue? Does she even matter to anyone?
An early copy of The Wright Heroes of Maine #3 was received through JDO Publishing and BookFunnel. These thoughts are my own and were in no way solicited.
One of the main reasons I loved this story was because it showed that everyone has worth and important in life. It has a strong faith element too. Both Bryan and Sophia have had issues in their past which carry over to their present where they don't feel important in their families and this influences their current day self-worth. It takes being placed in a situation where they are suddenly thrust into being around terrorists that they find out just how strong they are. They thwart a terror plot, but it takes everything in them to do so and they feel inadequate at every turn. They have basically just met but through this experience, they come to trust each other and find that romance can blossom in even the most unlikely of circumstances! I loved their journey and enjoyed the action and suspense also!
Great book! The suspense kept twisting and turning, and the romance and chemistry kept building. I enjoyed getting to know Sophie and Bryan as they got to know each other and asked some hard questions that made them think and search their hearts for God’s will and not their own. It was great that Bryan got to be a hero when he always considered himself less than and not capable due to a childhood injury. Although Sophie was a strong, independent woman who did not always want to be protected, she did learn to like Bryan’s protection and care. Both of these characters grew through this book as they opened their hearts to each other and to God’s will for them. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and, of course, look forward to the next one in the series!
I’ve read all the books released so far in this series, and I was hooked on the Wright Heroes of Maine novels from page 1 of book 1! “Finding You” is a race against time as a wounded antiquities expert and an American missionary to Muslims in Germany must work together to stop a terrorist. Patchen is a master at unveiling her characters’ self-deception and getting to the root causes of their fears and insecurities. The suspense pulls you in, the action keeps you engaged, and the budding romance warms your heart as it blossoms at a natural pace. I highly recommend “Finding You” and the entire Wright Heroes of Maine series. Thank you to the author for providing an ARC; the opinions expressed are my own.
Wonderful story of Bryan Wright and Sophia Chapman. A chance meeting at a family luncheon, brought Bryan face to face with Sophie. Coincidentally, his brother Michael, asks Bryan to visit a museum in Germany where Sophie works, in order to examine some antiquities there. Bryan is a college professor and antiquities are his major interest. Michael, who has a hidden agenda as a CIA agent, needs some information that Bryan can uncover. So begins a nonstop adventure, full of danger, love and suspense. As they get closer to each other, Bryan and Sophie must learn to depend on each other and their faith in the Lord, if they want to survive. As always Robin Patchen will keep you entertained to the very end.
I am obsessed with almost everything Robin Patchen writes and this is no exception. Derrick is one of the best heroes I’ve read in a long time. His patience? His wholehearted devotion? His faith? And what made him all the better was JASMINE! I absolutely adored this woman. Her strong faith is such a testament to how trials refine you as a believer. She was so funny, with her confusion about American sayings and culture. It added a little humor but what was even better was the way it made you stop and think about your own faith. She embodies actually striving for holiness and I could gush about her forever. The action, the plot twists, the inclusion of the other Wright brothers? Everything was absolutely excellent and I can’t wait to read more.
FINDING YOU, by Robin Patchen, is an incredible story spun from a simple question of "what if" and woven into an intricate novel. I found myself quickly relating to the characters and anxious to see how they managed the challenges facing them. There was a wonderful Christian message woven throughout the book and the reminder to all that we are cherished and our God can use us even if we feel broken.
I can highly recommend this book. It is part of the Wright Heroes of Maine series but can be read as a standalone. This is a thriller you won't want to miss!
I did receive an ARC but with no expectation of positive review. The opinions shared here are entirely my own
