This story was brilliant!

I loved everything about it - it was an additive read, well written, had a great pace to the story and some fantastic characters!

I thought that this was such a fun story to read!

The illustrations in the book were just wonderful and they helped to bring the story to life too.

It is 5 stars from me for this one - very highly recommended!

The first chapter book with my 6 year old son, who is dino mad and adores Andy!
We loved this, it was so funny and was full of dinosaur names (most of which my son recognised!) and facts. We got this on loan from our local library and I have purchased the series in paperback as we enjoyed it so much. Thanks Andy, keep them coming please!

I bought this book to read to my 5 year old son, who is a massive fan of the many, many shows Andy does on the BBC. He really enjoyed the story, and the illustrations . So I’ll definitely be looking out for the next book

Pleasant nonsense, as a girl loses her sister in a game of hide and seek, but gains knowledge that the family have a secret magic way to go to a place of dinosaurs – where, for some slightly dubious reason, they become walking, talking, not-eating-each-other dinosaurs themselves. This first book is clearly troubled with setting the whole franchise up, as opposed to giving us a full-length story, but the fact the younger sister still needs to be caught does drive the narrative along and proves the very young age this is aimed at. It's full of brio and U-certificate drama, and I suppose the slapstick and bum-wiggling, head-bashing silliness would appeal, too. A very generous four stars.
