Mora I grew up in a wolf pack, although I’m a hundred percent human. My mom’s mate loved me, treated me as his entirely, as do my brothers, but I want nothing to do with shifters once I graduate beyond my family. I want as far from this place as possible, from the violent, obsessive beasts as I can get. I never imagined I would almost die at their hands, but it certainly reinforces my desire to get away from them, soon.
That chance is taken away from me almost as quickly as my life nearly was, and before I know it, I’m on my way to some unknown mountain with the brute that attacked the pack. He claims I’m his mate, but I’ll never be that. He’ll never be anything more than the enemy, especially if he learns the one thing I never dared tell anyone else.
Cole My mother was rejected by her true mate, leading to her early demise. My father, who claimed her as his after losing his own true mate, followed her into an early grave, leaving me without a pack or a clan, as the bears wouldn’t accept a wolf as their itan. I’ve spent years creating my own, making it strong, powerful, enough to take down the man that rejected my mother. His pack is the worst sort, and I won’t leave any that might challenge me alive.
I didn’t know avenging my mother would lead me to my own mate, but not even her being human, the daughter of the pack’s beta will stop me from making her mine. I will do anything to claim her, including allowing her father and brothers to live. I won’t let her deny what is between us, no matter how long it takes, I’ll uncover all of her secrets, reasons why she’s keeping me from her, refusing to let me love her.

With strong language, some emotional material, and a HEA, Her Cold Brute is approximately 37,150 words. It is intended for an adult audience and may include subjects that are sensitive to some readers. It’s one-half insta-love and one-half enemies-to-lovers combined together to give you a sexy shifter who loves his woman and will do anything to prove it which leads to a HEA with lots of shifter babies.
This book was not safe. The FMC was raped and abused by the previous alpha’s children. She was beaten and nearly died. Story was depressing. The only good thing about it was the epilogue.
The story needs editing and grammar corrections. It's a fairly simple story written in a simple, quite immature language.
The language gets repetitive, same phrases used over and over. I'm not a big fan of a huge age gaps and there was no chemistry between the couple. Their relationship made me quite uncomfortable at times.
The story is short and does not create opportunities for Mora and Cole to build their relationship. It's a shame. The idea is quite interesting, but the execution is lacking.
I didn’t like Mora for 85% of the book. I kept reading hoping she would get better and accept her mate. I didn’t like the way she treated Cole. She was hateful, mean and childish. Being that she was verbally and physically abused by pack members, you would think she wouldn’t do it to someone else. Cole was the perfect alpha. Violent when someone hurt his mate but patient with her.
This was an ok read, and it took me a lot longer to get through it than my usual speed. I first thought Mora was being a brat, but until you got through the story, you wouldn't know what she had been through. I did like Cole, and it so happened the 2 needed each other. Good story, but it did feel as it dragged on in some parts. Definitely recommend this one, and I'm glad I saw it through.
First book I read of Ms. Mink. I've had this book on my Kindle shelves for a while before I decided to go at it and let me tell you all, what a wonderful surprise. My emotions were a roller-coaster, sad, angry, scared, and happy.
