365 days in exchange for $200 million dollars. That’s all it takes to save my family’s legacy. I just have to say two words, ‘I do.’

I’m across the country when I find out my father hired a big-time publicist to announce my upcoming wedding to one of the most powerful billionaire moguls in the country. A king in the hotel industry. The problem is, it’s news to me. I’ve never even met this man.

Of course, I flat out refuse. In fact, I protest vehemently.

That’s until my father fesses up to deep, dark secrets he's been holding back from me.

To save my family’s legacy—and hold on to the vestige of the precious heritage my deceased mother left me—I have to agree to a merger-marriage?! With a complete stranger?!

To dig himself out of a hellish abyss, my father turned me into a pawn. A payment.

Found Myself Skimming

It wasn’t a bad book or poorly written. It was just dull. Everything was too fast and too easy. There was no tension or good banter. I was just bored.

This is the first book I have read by Scarlett Avery and I absolutely loved Phoenix and Michaela's story. It's a sweet and romantic story of the Billionaire Mogul rescuing the down on her luck female who needs saving.
A fake marriage, created to diffuse and confuse the outside players, with a financial and convenient benefit to both. The characters going their own way after 365 days. But what happens when feelings are developed that are not fake?
Good story with a passionate and spicy moments.

I totally enjoyed seeing Michaela fall under the spell of Phoenix. The very fiesty, independent woman who knows what she doesn't want storms into Phoenix's life with a bang! Rumors of their impending marriage is what fuels her but her family situation is what makes her take a step or two back to regroup. The heat coming from them was scorching hot. Phoenix is as dirty talking as the rest of Scarlett Avery's billionaires and has the chops to back it up. His desire to do what's best for his own family is what drives him as well. These two are so well suited that fake might just feel like more.

Phoenix

I was mesmerized at how Phoenix and Michaela meet when they aren't each other's type but the chemistry is off the charts. As they spend more time together he becomes more possessive of her interaction with other guys. She is positive they are perfect for each other and neither have any worries. As the book goes on it gets hotter and hotter as only Scarlett can weave such a story.

Lack of editing ruined it

I have read this series and really enjoyed it. The author’s ability to make each story different while sharing characters was refreshing. It wasn’t a series where it was the same story repeated with different characters.

Unfortunately the book prior to this one had some editing errors that were surprising, leading to this book, which was full of errors. Mostly skipped words and misspellings or incorrect versions of similar words, but enough that by the time I was half way finished, I knew I wouldn’t be reading he next book. This lack of editing always makes me feel as if the author cared more about producing their next book than creating a well presented piece of material for their readers.

If you add lack of editing to the increase of the word “bespoke” as the series continued, it feels as if each book became less bespoke and more mass produced. This was a good story with plenty of heat, but I was disappointed with the lack of care in the final product.

This book was so unexpected!

I love everything about it. The characters, the theme and wow, what a theme. The way Michaela finds out about her soon to be marriage. Then to find out who arranged it all.

There is an age gap between Michaela and Phoenix but nothing crazy. I loved how they worked together through their dilemmas. This series is one of my absolute favorites. The chemistry and explosion of feelings is so much fun.

This book was so awesome and I truly loved every minute of it. Its got a very complicated plot and some really bad guys and as the book goes on you find even more bad guys as you read this story. Its a fake romance and marriage for convenience sake story and the author did an awesome job making it believeable and showing the connection between the two main character, Michaela and Phoenix.

This story easily stands alone but if you have been reading this series, Michaela is introduced in Rhys and Keira's book. Rhys is not in this book except that Michaela stays at his gatehouse but Keira is featured in this book as Michaela's bestie. It was awesome seeing her in this book and I loved how supportive she is of Michaela as her life falls apart.

Michaela is in Los Angeles when the news hits that she is marrying Phoenix and she has never met the guy. She thinks its her evil stepmom and ends up crashing into Phoenix's life as he is the only one she can get access to as she finds out what is happening.

To save Michaela's legacy she has to marry Phoenix for one year and so starts their engagement and then eventual marriage. This was a really awesome story and my favorite part was how Phoenix and Michaela are with each other. They become partners and its really them against the world and I absolutely loved and adored how they are with each other.

I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I don't know how Scarlett Avery does it but dang her billionaire moguls just get hotter and hotter. We have the next one in the series about Michaela and Phoenix. Now Michaela is like a little bird just wanting to be free and spread her wings. The thing is that the life she knew before leaving the states is not the same anymore and now it's nothing but problems. Phoenix is unlike any man she has known before and in many ways she feels closer to him than anybody else. He is a puzzle, one minute he is cold and distant the next hot with passion making her feel things she has never felt before. I loved that these two are opposites yet have so much in common both are helping one another and just wanting love. Scarlett Avery definitely took us in a rollercoaster of sex, passion, lies and betrayal nobody saw coming making Phoenix one bad sexy boy. Loved it cannot wait to see what she does next in her billionaire mogul world.

Phoenix and Michaella are hot

This is the story of Michaella Knight and Phoenix König. Michaella’s family owns a luxury hotel in Manhattan, so she’s used to a good life. Her dad married a woman way younger than him after her mom passed away and she’s not a good stepmother. Michaella decides she needs a break and flies to LA to see her friend Keira (from book two, Rhys) and one morning while chatting about everything and nothing, Keira finds online that Michaela is engaged to Phoenix, a billionaire hotel mogul. Michaella can’t believe her luck and rams into Phoenix’s office just to learn that it was her dad who made the merger-marriage deal, not her stepmom. What starts as a fake marriage, where both parts gain something ends up as one of the hottest, most carnal books I’ve read this year.
Phoenix is older than Michaella but their chemistry, his domineering ways, his dirty talk is enough to awake Michaella’s submissive, open mind.
I enjoyed this book, I really liked that there was no real angst between the main characters, yes there was drama and things they had to deal with but they did it together!

If you like your Billionaire's hot and dirty, then you will love Phoenix, the dirtiest yet swoonest Mogul so far in the series and also my favourite couple. 😜 There is doubt that the chemistry between Phoenix and Michaela could melt the biggest iceberg in the world, but the storyline is pretty terrific too which makes it just a heart-stoppingly brilliant read. Scarlett Avery has included a great suspense element to Phoenix as well.

When Michaela finds out she has to marry Phoenix she goes to his office like a raging bull, but from the moment she swings open the door and steps inside Phoenix's world things will never be the same again. Phoenix wasn't expecting Michaela to have claws, but she is fast becoming his little 'kitty cat' and he loves to get her all hot and bothered. Michaela didn't know what she expected when she barged into his Phoenix's office but for some reason, she is starting to like the predicament she is finding herself in!

Scarlett Avery has outdone herself - again! Phoenix and Michaela’s story was everything its description promised it to be and more. When Michaela finds out she is to marry a stranger in just a few days, she does what all independent women would do - protest strongly. It’s only when she finds out how dire her father and their hotel situation actually is, she knows she has to go through with it. Not sure I could be like her, but I had to admire her. Michaela begins to see that Phoenix truly is a nice guy as they fall in love. As the plot thickens and things go from bad to worse with her dad and the company, we find more and more villains coming out of the woodwork; the two know they are in it together and they can win.

Hot 🔥 Hot!

Bartered to save daddy and their families hotel. Sounds terrible. Michaela learns of her engagement via online media thinking it's a ruse. From the moment Phoenix and Michaela meet, Sparks fly. She's dubbed "Little Dragon". Plenty of intrigue, passion, heat for each other that never seems quenched and yes ...... A Happy Ever After. No cheating or cliffhanger, but there's some minor glitches in proofreading. I really love Ms. Avery's stories with solid and well rounded characters and storylines, I'm just not into the over use of JC or GD as the go to swear words. If you can get past them, you'll absolutely love this read. Enjoy 🤓

Oh Michaela and Phoenix's story is fiery! She is livid when she finds out her father arranged her marriage to Phoenix in exchange for saving their hotel. Phoenix has no interest in a relationship much less a wife but he needs one to appease the board for his company. Will the sparks flying lead to something real?

I love this author. She writes the perfect billionaire, alpha, hot guys and strong, sassy women who bring them to their knees. I felt so bad for Mikki when she thought her step mother was involved and it was even worse when she found out her Dad was involved. Loved that we got some suspense thrown in to keep you guessing. Another great read by Scarlett Avery!

Scarlett Avery is back with the next standalone in the Billionaire Moguls series and y'all, I really enjoyed this one. I've really liked all the books in this series so far.. I'm a huge sucker for a classic steamy, swoony billionaire romance and Avery definitely delivered that on all fronts with this book.

Phoenix is the third in this series, giving us Michaela and Phoenix's story and what a journey these two had to tell. Packed with loads of heart, heat, sizzling chemistry, and all the feels.. this fake marriage romance will sweep you up off your feet and leave you with all the smiles.

I'm definitely keeping this author on my watch list and can't wait to see what she gives us next.

I can recommend this book.

Another fairytale read. You've got one "alphabadass" and one petite dragon of a heroine. Michaela, has some great comebacks to Phoenix's jabs, the sparks are truly flying, loved their banter when they weren't getting along and their names for each other. Definitely hot scenes through out the book and they kept getting hotter each time, and in different types of venues, never tame enough for a bed. Moments that made me smile were, the yellow Ferrari, on the edge of cliffs, Mensa vocabulary, cookies and hot chocolate and the Richter scale. This was a great read and it made me smile.

Steamy fake marriage story

I love fake marriage books. I always know that they falling in love part will be sweet-small events over time that makes it happen.

Michaela is a spitfire who find out she is getting married through the headlines and even more bad news from the man she is to marry.

Phoenix is a billionaire who is interim CEO and he needs a wife-enter Michaela.

The two have so much chemistry-it shows the moment they meet and it keeps going from there.

Their adult interactions (sexy times) are explosive and incredibly hot! Phoenix is a dirty talker and a take charge kind of man.

I enjoyed this book. All I have read in this series so far are good. They all have very different stories that keep you engaged and wanting to read.

This is our dirtiest billionaire in the series and my favourite! Michaela Knight just landed in LA and stays with her friend Kiera in Rhys's guest house when she comes face to face with the choking news. She is engaged to be married with Phoenix Konig, the King of hoteliers. After losing her cool , the hard truths are explained to her by her father. What she learns is bone chilling and sad. She agrees to the fake marriage and soon they team up against the world. Can this feisty woman, tame the King? Can Phoenix get the CEO job he wants? A steamy, sexy, dramatic back story that will have you wanting to join their team a d fight along these amazing characters. I volunteered to review this story.

I think this one was my favorite in the series I totally love Phoenix and Michaela's story. She's about to find out that her life is changed forever well maybe not forever just for a year. Phoenix is a businessman and will do what he can to make the money and deals he needs to. When a proposition for a new business came up he takes it as well as the stipulation. Michaela is trying to do everything she can to not kill the man she has to be with for a year. Can these two accomplish what they are supposed to before they kill each other or will they destroy one another before the year is up?

Billionaire Arranged marriage. Fun, sexy and sweet. Michaela and Phoenix get a lot more than they thought they would. Alpha hero and a strong heroine to match his bossy ways. A match made to help them both. Eventually Phoenix and Michaela realize marrying a stranger turns out to be the best thing to happen to them. There is plenty if chemistry between these two because a year is a long time.
There is a lot going on with business, family and secrets. As the story continues the drama continues.

3.5 Stars!

Having read the previous installment in the Billionaire Mogul's world I've been looking forward to picking up another one! The synopsis for this one caught my eye quickly. I really liked it!

Phoenix and Michaela's journey isn't quite the easy one. I enjoyed how their journey got my attention from the get go, the way these two got under each other's skin, and the heat between them. I wasn't sure how things were going to play out with these characters which i liked!

With Billionaire Mogul: Phoenix, Ms.Avery has created a good read!

Michaela loves and respects her father and would do anything for him. But when he needs her to marry someone to save his Hotel is that going a little bit too far? Phoenix is a former member of a popular boy band turned business executive. When being CEO of his family business gets complicated he decides to get married. Will this marriage of convenience really work? Can these two ignore the hot chemistry between them? Phoenix and Michaela had an amazing connection and great banter. Between his close family and her horrible stepmother they had a lot of different family drama going on. This was a fun quick read and a great addition to this amazing series. There were several layers to this book that kept me extremely entertained. I have really enjoyed this series and I’m looking forward to more! I’m hoping we get to know Phoenix’s brothers better and expand on their stories. This series is highly recommend!

What a great story! Highly entertaining and romantic! I am not much for a fake marriage but I liked the way the story goes! It wasn’t boring or predictable and that is what worries me with fake romances. I love how Phoenix and Michaela turn the situation not only to their advantage but find an amazing person as well.
