British certified fitness coach and author James Atkinson has published many valuable books on his advice for encouraging good health – including FITNESS & EXERCISE MOTIVATION, FITNESS FOR WOMEN OF ANY AGE, JIM’S WEIGHT TRAINING GUIDE, JIM’S WEIGHT TRAINING & BODY BUILDING WORKOUT PLAN, MARATHON TRAINING, TOTAL FITNESS FOR WHEELCHAIR USERS, HEALTH AND FITNESS TIPS THAT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE, HOME WORKOUT FOR BEGINNERS, HOME WORKOUT CIRCUIT TRAINING, RESISTANCE BAND TRAINING, BODYWEIGHT TRAINING AND CALISTHENICS, BAR & DUMBBELL TRAINING, 12 WEEK RESISTANCE BAND WORKOUT ROUTINE, and now CHAIR WORKOUTS FOR EVERY FITNESS LEVEL. He covers all the bases with actionable results!

As Jim states in the intro, ‘Chair workouts are an excellent exercise solution for senior fitness, rehabilitation, people who have issues with standing, and any wheelchair users.’ He adds that these exercises he so skillfully instructs with drawings and easy to follow steps help with circulation, flexibility, strength, cardio, functional movements and balance. As usual, Jim’s instructions include advice about all aspects of training – including acknowledging limitations – and in doing so he provides one of the most immediately accessible formats for acquiring fitness using simply a chair!

All of Jim’s books provide supportive encouragement to the reader for achieving and maintaining fitness, delivered in a user-friendly manner. This is one of the finest books for realistic, informed and results-producing fitness books this reader has encountered! Very highly recommended, especially for Seniors!

Clear and concise information

I appreciated the clear and concise information in this book. The photos illustrating the execution of the various exercises were very helpful and easy to follow.

67 return to healthy

Good entry level book, out of shape, overweight and newly diagnosed heart problem... was sitting a lot when I retired and needed somewhere to start... this book gave me a great place to begin...

Down to Earth

it is an easy guide to follow. Like a lot of good ideas to start and implement tis book. It is all there, and it is up to you to take it to the end.
