Part 29: Dinner party, Dave's mum and the Mystery House of Rob
Another great instalment that had me crying over a story about fried chicken. Also, there is no way the last three words of this book are real?! Immediately starting the next one.
The Undead Day Twenty Nine: Hindhead Part 1 The Undead #29 Sci-Fi R.R. Haywood ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I liked how Dave started to try and share more about himself, even though he struggles with expressing his emotions, his feelings and what he likes because he is autistic. His growing relationship with Marcy is sweet. Marcy understands Dave more than anyone else, even Howie, because she used to look after her autistic brother.
The pacing was slow at times and I wanted to get back to Lilly, the fort and George.
The ending was great. The tension was palpable and I felt the same sense of urgency as all of the characters. The cliff hanger was done well but I really hope that there will be a plot twist in the next book because I don't want to believe it really happened.
So tense, so unbelievably gripping, not one zombie in this part of the story but you wouldn't notice. This one hits home harder than a berserker punch from Clarence how much the world has changed and nature is fighting back. That ending though.....why boss? WHY? I'm broken, I'm different, I'm scared to go on. I feel genuinely physically affected by this and I haven't felt that from a book since Stephen King's The Dark Tower series and that is the greatest story ever told. Now I'm not so sure.
Another fantastic read. Great, because of and not in spite of a lack of violence and action. No, this book is great because of the storytelling, the incredible personal dynamics and the amazing characters that we have come to love. These recent books are a step aside from the relentless violence, creating a pivot point to the next inevitable chapter. This took obvious courage but I think such a move should be celebrated and applauded.
In my fifty-eight years of life not once have I ever teared up while reading a novel. Well, not until today that is. Damn him! Damn Mr. Haywood for being by far the most talented writer I've ever come across. Once he's in his zone, as he certainly was towards the end of twenty-nine, he shows his berserker talents with his story telling and makes a baby out of me. Really great book!
Agh! Boss! I've got tears streaming down my face and my heart is firmly in my mouth. Thank god 30 is out tomorrow, I don't think I could wait any longer.......I think I need a nervous poo.
Just wow. Another rush through the new world with our heroes. Shocks and surprises everywhere. Highly reommened read and if you've not started the series...hurry up.
What a story this is Mr Haywood you are a bad man! How you tell this tail is amazing as for the cliff hanger well amazing just off strong enough.off now to start on 30 best day ever
I'm glad the story is finally picking up. It was getting repetitious. This part was exciting. All hands on deck. I was in my feelings at the end. I can't wait to read Day 30.
I really want to review this but I have to use so many words before they will let it publish and I'm speechless!! My heart is broken. It's over. How can they continue....????? Devastated.
Not sure what to say without spoiling anything! But another amazing, emotional undead book. I had to cover the bottom of pages as I was so tempted to quickly scan read to get answers at the end! Need to read the next book now!
Would of been five, but lost only one because I’m really hoping that the end is not quite as it seems. Because that man is awesome and he just can’t be gone. He can’t be. Love this series and him especially, without him this series wouldn’t be the same.
This series has had me laughing out loud .It's had me crying . It's had me Raging at the injustice . I have wanted revenge on certain characters . This series just draws you in and immerses you in to the world of Howie and his team .
This was another awesome installment and the ending is killing me! I'm tempted to take a longer lunchbreak so I can start the next book! Amazing as always, still my fave book series EVER
