Riley is one of those early-morning people you love to hate, because she swears she doesn't need caffeine, even though the coffee-maker is connected to her smartphone. She lives in a three-story townhouse by the good graces of a tabby-cat who rules the house, the couch, the table, well, basically everywhere. When she's not groveling for forgiveness for neglecting to pet her kitty enough, Riley is strapped in to her writing chair coming up with crazy worlds where she can make her own decisions of when feeding time is and how much coffee can be drank without her friends--of which she has three--holding yet another intervention that they threaten to post on the internet.
Her Dragon Daddy Disaster is book five in the series The Dragon Overlords.
The series follows a war where many lives are lost humans and dragons. now as a peace treaty, humans must provide women to find their fated mates with the dragons. They are supposed to be volunteers but the human government use less-than-savory threats to make them comply.
The story is interesting as humans and dragons navigate their way through relationships neither are sure about.
I enjoyed this dragon-human, single parent, second chance romance with a side of political machinations. The story sucked me right in and it was hard to put down. It had a good mix of humor, love, real life issues, painful pasts, cultural/species differences, intrigue, danger, loyalty, and spice. Levi is a dragon sent to the humans by the dragon sovereign to share the details of her proposal for the cease fire to end the dragon-human war. The terms included the requirement of eight human women to volunteer every year to serve as dragon mates. Sarah is a secret service agent and a single mother to 4 year old Jakub. She is on duty at the White House when Levi comes to share the terms. Levi and Sarah had a fling almost six years ago which ended when he disappeared without a word. Unbeknownst to Sarah, her fling was with a dragon and unbeknownst to Levi, Jakub is the result of that fling. As part of the agreement, Levi includes the requirement that Sarah be one of the human mates. There is a lot against a successful forever relationship between Levi and Sarah including Sarah being forced to go with the dragons and having to abandon her son to go. To get to their HEA, they’ll need to be honest and to learn to trust each other while trying to unpack their own baggage and wade through the prejudice, politics and backstabbing of dragon society. The story was well written and included engaging dialogue, good world building, three dimensional characters, and an interesting storyline. I am looking forward to reading more in this series.
Sarah is working she secret service and she on duty at the White House when someone from her past is in one of the tour groups she doesn’t want him to notice her but no luck he spot her and right away he come over but she try’s to get him to go back to his group but he’s there to get in to see the president but first he’s going to cause some trouble. You see Levi is a dragon and he’s there to take about the terms of the ceasefire. The dragon want 8 women to volunteer to come to the dragon island and become mates. But after seeing Sarah again Levi wants her and one of the women not knowing about her son. But behind the scenes he wants to change how the government on the island is run. But things will change when he finds out about his son. So enjoy the read and see if it works out for them !!
This is book five, but the first one that I have read in the series. The story begins with Levi returning after disappearing four years ago. Levi shows up at Sarah’s work like he was supposed to be there. Sarah and Levi had an intense relationship and they just clicked together. Their relationship was hot and lovely, but then Levi left one day without any note, words, or anything. There are so many feels in this book. I did not understand the dynamics between Levi and the secondary characters Lydia and Malaki. I was disappointed that their main interaction was at the end as that third act issue. Sometimes the characters react a bit silly but the love story is sweet. Some good lessons are learned by both Levi and Sarah. There is a happy ending. Read On!
Sarah works for the Secret Service and is very good at her job. Until the appearance of someone from her past causes no end of trouble while on the job at the White House. The mystery man just so happens to be the father of her child and he doesn't know. He just wants Sarah back. What Sarah doesn't know is that Levi is a dragon. Part of the ceasefire between the dragons and humans is that eight human women go to the world of the dragons every year. And the part that gets Sarah? She is to be one of the women. Taken from her family, her son, her job, her everything is heartbreaking. But to save millions of lives she will do it. Darn this was a good story and I absolutely loved it.
I Love this series more with each new book ! Levi and Sarah's story is one of the best I think. Levi finds out he's a father and has some lessons to learn while Sarah needs to learn to trust Levi . I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know these characters and watch their story evolve. The only issue I had with this story was that Sarah's parents aren't mentioned at all or how they must be feeling or what they must be thinking about the disappearance of Jakob from their care. I Read an Advanced E-book copy and am Voluntarily leaving a review.
Her Dragon Daddy Disaster (The Dragon Overlords Book 5) by Riley Storm. Sarah met Levi several years ago and when he left he left her pregnant. Then Levi returned to offer the President peace terms with 8 women a year sent to mate with the dragons and Levi added the Sarah had to be one of them. Sarah eventually found that Levi and friends were trying to replace the dragon Queen but that didn’t turn out as thought.
This was a pretty good one, but I have the same complaint many people in the comments have mentioned, no mention of her being worried about her parents, how her kid was kidnapped, it just skipped over that. It would of been nice like A epilogue or something and they went back to visit her parents. Who know maybe it will be pop up and be addressed in another book in the series.
I liked the story line but what about her parents? Nothing about how the dragons took Jake, did her parents even know that he was with his mother, his birthday party without them, he never mentioned them,???????
I read about 400 books a year and I'm actually starting to realize I've pretty much read the good ones already. So this is the second time I've read this one. I have enjoyed it. I like Riley Storms write style.
Sarah is on duty with the secret service when her boyfriend from six years ago arrives at the white house. Levi is there to present peace terms to the president. But neither Sarah nor Levi can forget each other. Enjoy
