Luna Lola: The Moon Wolf and The Hidden Power

Rate this book
"I, Grayson Dawson, Alpha of the Moonlit Pack, reject you, Lola Ashton, as my mate and Luna of this pack," I heard Grayson's voice reach my ear and a single tear ran down my left cheek as it felt like my heart was being ripped out of my chest.

"I, Lola Ashton, accept..." I did not finish my sentence before he held me up by my throat and snarled in my face. His eyes had already changed colors so I knew his wolf was in charge.

"You will not reject me, slut. I am your owner and I tell you what to do and when," he slapped me across the face and threw me on the ground.

***

After being rejected by her mate in the Moonlit pack, Lola escaped on a full moon only to enter the territory of the next Alpha King who also happened to be her second chance mate.

Adrian is the next Alpha King but he hasn't been able to assume his role because he needed a Luna by his side. A rogue that trespassed on his territory, whom he ordered be killed turned out to be his mate leaving him in a dilemma.

Will Adrian reject Lola because she came into his territory as a rogue? Will he overcome what happened to him in the past and give Lola a chance or reject her and go ahead with Fay as his chosen Luna?

What will happen when everyone finds out just how much power Lola wields and how she's supposed to protect her kind in an oncoming war? Find out in Lola- The Moon Wolf!

Phenomenal story

Boy what a great story!!! I love each character and how they interact with each other. I couldn't put this book down. The only issue/problem is the spelling and not so great editing in this book. I saw a lot of mistakes regarding spelling or typos. Other than that its a wonderful book I would recommend to people.

Good storyline, needs editing

I enjoyed the story.

There are problems with names of characters that change from one chapter to the next, for example Chelsea and Alex .

The English is only fair in many places. There are incorrect words or poor grammar. It reads like it was translated from another language.

great plot line.

Great plot line but left hanging. Desperately needs an editor. Bad spelling, names transposed, grammar errors abound. Surprised both books had these issues. Seriously needs to be reviewed and fixed.

Frustrating

This has to be a ai produced book. The amount of wrong words, wrong people referenced and wrong information is completely unbelievable. Could of been a good story but its brutal to try to read.

I’m being generous

This series was obviously written by someone who is not fluent in English and it shows. I really wish she had someone to edit it and fix some of the things therein.

As I said before with book 1, it has good bones. But the way the story carries out it’s just too unbelievable and ridiculous. For example, why would a seasoned Alpha King and Luna defer their pack to an 18 year old wolf who has been sheltered and uneducated for the majority of her learning years? Why would a 25 year old Alpha King heir look to this same inexperienced 18 for answers and advice? I understand what she is, but nothing about her changes and what she is make her any smarter and wiser.

Spoilers may be ahead…

Now, this girl ignores every single instinct and gut feeling she has, even after being warned that something bad is going to happen and someone is literal out to take her. She feels like someone is watching her, she ignores it and tells no one. She feels like someone is following her, she ignores it and tells no one. Someone is acting suspiciously around her, she acts like it ain’t her problem and doesn’t bring it to anyone’s attention.

Where she suddenly got invincible cojones to not fear anything is crazy. I understand there was a month time jump where she worked on herself, but she knew someone was out to get her out in town and despite feeling watched, she ignored it and said nothing. She repeatedly does this, especially after an incident that should warrant heightened security and it drove me nuts!

Then she has healing powers but sits and waits for the pack doctor while she panics or rambles on about how useless she is while not using or even thinking about her power. She interrogates a rogue, and after Adrian told her about his past fake mate and what happened to her, she continues her line of questioning, disregarding the warnings the rogue gave about why he couldn’t proceed. Instead of her giving a name and leading the conversation that way, which may have spared him with yes or no type answer, she barreled on. When he did give her vital information that he could share, no one acted on it for several days while she was in a fugue state! Then the information was changed from being someone close to HER specifically to someone in the whole of the general pack of 150… at least, that’s how it ended in this book.

Then I’m severely pissed about her lack of aid to Jayden. Instead of her being at the pack border to try to assist with her powers KNOWING the connection was being weakened and severed, she stayed her happy as in the pack lands and then went to lounge with Adrian by the damn lake! She took her time telling him the information, just like she took her time tell Rose they were in danger!

Great story BUT

I have no idea how these books managed to get published in their current condition. The story is fantastic although it drags on unimportant details at times. But the language is very tilted and unnatural. There's a lot of incorrect words used, not just typos, but outright misspelled words, Missing words and phrases and the punctuation was ridiculous.

There was clearly no proofreading done whatsoever.

Additionally, I found what was supposed to be a love scene to be described in a rather vulgar manner. Again, I get the feeling that English is the authors second language or that it was translated very poorly.

Park Kara has created a story that keeps you on the edge of your seat and royally confused at the same time. But when I have to stop reading in order to figure out what word is missing or what the author is trying to say, it takes something out of the joy of reading. Hopefully the author will seek proofreading and grammar assistance before she publishes another book.

I am pretty sure this was written by a bot. I've never heard of Park Kara, and this person has no other titles to their credit. Plus, the whole story is so stupid and badly edited that I actually HOPE it was a bot and not some actual person who can't even be bothered to go back and make sure the Generic White Person names of the characters are consistent from paragraph to paragraph.

The plot is absurd and drawn-out, needlessly teasing about mysterious past trauma. Lots of dramatic passing out, etc. The supposed 'hero' physically beats and strangles a woman because she flirts with him.

In short.. Park Kara, if you're a real person, do better. Everyone else, steer clear. Reading this takes time you could be spending doing literally anything else, and you can't get that time back.

Proofreading

I have just made it through the second book and I am not sure that I have it in me to try to make it through two more. It is bad enough that the reader is expected to pay for this book four times, that would be twenty dollars for the book before the end. But since I also have to think about what the author is really trying to say because of words typed twice in a row, words out of order, misspellings, and key stroke errors I'm not sure it is worth my time and money to find out how it ends. I can make up my own ending for free and since I would not but myself through the hardship of reading it again I would just delete it once I finished it anyway. So I think I'll cut my losses and be done now.

I am reading this book via Passion app from Google Play.

I enjoyed book 2 and couldn't wait to start book 2, continuing Luna Lola's reintegration into the wolf world, joining a different pack and leaving her new powers

deception all around her and her fight to get a grip of life.

looking forward to reading book 3, although there are a few typo errors, I'm learning to see where they are and what they are supposed to be in it's place, so I'm still enjoying the series.

If you are reading via the app, be prepared to watch ads, read articles, play games to gain extra chapters ..but in my opinion, it's well with the sacrifices...just look at each if then as a means to an eve and a rest from reading non- stop.

Enjoy.

This storyline had potential and was the only reason I made it through 2 books. The amount of spelling errors, grammar issues, and the number of times the author confused their character names throughout the book was absolutely astounding! Like I said, the storyline had potential, and I was interested in finding answers, but I honestly couldn't take the incorrect sentences. Half the book sounded like it wasn't in english. It needs a lot of serious editing to fix these issues. The cost alone to get this kind of book was upsetting. If you chose to read this, please go in knowing about the issues above.

needs serious editing

I love the storyline of this book, but there are some serious editing issues, not only misspelling and sentences that don’t make sense but also character names changing so it’s very hard to track what is going on? I really hope the author will take the time to edit and re-release, unfortunately at this time, I am unable to finish the book because of all the editing that needs to be done. I also don’t understand why Amazon would allow a book that has obviously not been finished/edited it almost seems like this is a first draft and definitely not worth the four dollars that I spent on it.

Again, great story and thrilling characters and events. However, the spelling, grammar and general errors interferes with the reader’s comprehension of what’s going on. I don’t understand how any editor, proofreader, or publisher could approve any manuscript with this many errors. I’d like to ask both the writer and publisher whether they have ever heard of spellcheck. The only reason why I am continuing with this book series is because the story itself is that good and I want to know what happens. Otherwise, I would just close the cover and stop in the middle.

The second Book

I don’t know, it really bothered me that Lola would cry at a drop of a hat. This girl is supposed to be The White Wolf. I mean Lola had her moments where she would stand up for herself. I thought Lola needed to be stronger than what she was.

Lola is supposed to get ready to fight in some war. That I felt she in no way ready for. And l didn’t know there was going to be a third book. I hope I find out what happens to everyone.

beautiful story but a bit drawn out . Both book 1 and book 2 ended abruptly . I haven’t seen a Book 3 bit the author could have least prepared us by letting us know that the story doesn’t culminate with book 2.
The characters name are so mixed up at times , pronouns changed and Lola given at least two different names . This could be completed in 2 books . I. Disappointed . By Book 3 I’m lost and easy to move unto a different story .

Good storyline

I really enjoyed the story. However, again, where is the editing. Just using spell check is not enough and it appears that wasn’t even used. Character names get messed up and sometimes replaced with a name not mentioned in the story. It gets confusing and trying to figure out the correct words when sentences don’t make sense is frustrating. If the book had been edited it would have been a 5*.

interesting story

Interesting story, even though there’s tons of typos and grammar stuff (to be expected considering this come from an app like Dreame etc) but author often forgets timelines, characters names etc. Also I like that the protagonist is growing up but some of the language used (cussing) doesn’t fit, feels like she forcing herself to be “tough” but she really doesn’t need it. Throws off the flow in my opinion🤷‍♀️

interesting idea for a story

It needs a lot of work. It feels like a number of people wrote it, not always following the story exactly, getting the names and pronouns wrong and at least one of these co-writers is not a native English speaker. I bought the second book by mistake first because it has the same cover as the first.
The biggest complaint is that the each book is a cliffhanger.
I would like to read it once it has been edited and fleshed out (longer chapters!)

Meh

The story isn’t bad, but I almost feel like I’ve read this book before. Like it has snippets of other alpha stories put together to make this one. Ugh… even once I got passed that, the errors, in the language, in the spelling, in the names (like she meant this person not this person) I had to rewrite every other page in my head as I read it. This book needs to come back with the edited version to say the least lol. If it was edited, I would give it 3.5-4 stars.

It's ok

Fairly predictable plot lines, bad job editing... (spelling errors, name substitutions enough that sometimes can be unclear who was talking or doing the action. Ex: can guess Alexander was Adrian since only male at the time but no idea who Chloe was supposed to be at least one of the times. There IS no Chloe or Alexander in the story.) Any worse editing, would have been a 2, better editing would have been 3.5.

All In The Name Of The Moon

Book 2 was similar to book 1 with a lot of spelling errors, the wrong version of a word used and truthfully really dragging out. Still a descent story line for a YA reader wanting to explore a shifter series. I don’t think I’ll continue on to the next as I’m having a hard time keeping my attention on it. But there is love, hurt, drama, a small bit of spice and your expected becoming Luna ceremony.

Book Two The Moon Wolf Series

So pleased the book continued from the first one this book was again a really good read. One minute I was crying the next I was laughing. Still with the traitor still on the loose within the pack is why the old king alpha is dead and needs to be stopped. I just hope that it's not the New alpha kings best friend as I have no idea how the pack would deal with that.

Great storyline

The story line is great. But the book desperately needs editing. The wording at times reads as if a teenager wrote it. I don't believe English is the authors first language so editing to fix grammar would help the story flow quite a bit. Also the names change several times throughout the book which can pull you out of the story while you try to figure out who is who.

I’m hooked

So far from the first couple of chapters of the first book of the series I knew I was going to love this series, after reading just the first few I purchased the entire series! I can’t stop reading it, the grammar could have been proof read better but aside from that I love it!

7 Wows ~ Just when I think it’s over the drama intensified by 10.

As the Lola discovers her increasing powers she becomes more and more overwhelmed. She still is trying to understand Adrian and if he is going to be her mate or reject her. Can they overcome their problems and work together before they loose their whole pack?

I can't say this was poorly edited, because I'm fairly sure it wasn't edited at all. Characters bizarrely switch names frequently, it was a generally annoying read. Besides that, the story was not engaging enough. I started reading on an app and ended up buying the Kindle. Truly this is reading junk food. I'll finish the series but won't read again.

Typos

This book needs a good proofreader. The typos were so numerous that I stopped reporting content errors. I question if AI wrote this and no one bothered to read it. The characters are shallow and the writing is disappointing. I admit that I skimmed quite a few pages but the storyline did not keep my interest.

good story premise

The story itself is amazing, but these books need a ton of editing before being sold like they are. I love the story though, and the flow of the story itself is beautiful, but the grammar and overall sentence structure along with name issues are definitely an issue.

It's good, Buuut...

The typos, grammatical errors, and mixing up of characters was distracting and detracted from an otherwise good storyline. I was even able to forgive the Pollyanna trope - and the occasional misogynistic comments did the story nor the character building any favors.

Good series

Second book is good. Just have to ignore all the typos & discrepancy. Several times people are referred to by the wrong name. But at least you can figure out who the author was referring to. But overall I'm enjoying the series. Submitted by Keri Evans as acct is in hubby's name.
