When I got this book, I had only skimmed over the back synopsis so I was expecting a Princess Diary vibe, but I was very much wrong. This book is a duel POV with a high-speed plot line, don't skip over something because you will miss it! I finished this book in about 4 hours. So if you're looking for a quick read, you have found your next one!
We find our MFC trying to recoup after a traumatic life growing up and dealing with her disability of Cerebral Palsy, and like I said this book is high-speed, we zooming. So we very quickly ran into our MMC, Mafia Man Massimo. The second Massimo sees Kassani, he wants to do everything in his power to make her his queen. Thankfully Kassani gets the happy ending she has so desperately wanted.
So not Princess Diary, but a Mafia Diary. (ok bad joke, sorry)
I think the biggest plot of this book is overcoming/living with a disability. While it is a work of fiction it holds truth. In this book the number of times Kassani has to deal with her disability, and how often it's brought up shows how the author of this book is passionate about all the things she has overcome living with Cerebral Palsy just like our MFC and I love the way she puts into perspective just how hard it sometimes is, but that you can overcome anything if you put your mind to it.
This is the very first book this author has written, and the only constructive criticism I want to give about this book, in hopes of giving the author a little bit of fire under her butt is this book could have been so much longer. The plot is there, the characters are there, and the setup is all there for this book to be over 400 pages easily. It did not take me long to finish this book. Reign Reimagined was a great read for me, I am just NEEDY. I need MORE depth and details. The setup to execute an in-depth is totally there! I know when an author has the potential to turn something great into FANTASTIC and she has the ability to do something fantastic. So hopefully I will be back with another review of Samantha's books one of them being over 400 pages.
The story of Massimo and Kassani keeps you wondering what will happen next and how the duo will make their relationship work with their drastically different upbringing. The book will keep you wanting more, and I found myself wishing for more details! This book has light spice, trauma, and some violence. I went into this book knowing there were a few typos, so that was not taken into consideration in my review.
It’s a really good short story. My main issue with it was the constant misspelling of the names making me confused on which way to pronounce was correct and some of the sentences did not make sense. I am not sure if that was just a misprint issue but it was a lot. Other than that it was a great short story.
I absolutely love this book. It keeps you engaged and wanting to know what's next. I am not a big reader due to always being on the move. This book kept my attention. I cannot wait for the next book.

When the Don of the Ballentine Bratva sets his sights on Kassani Carter, he will do whatever it takes to build her confidence from his Princess to the Queen he knows she can be. I loved how Kass did not let her diagnosis define her character. She was tough, capable, and smart, unwilling to let a man do for her what she could do for herself. Massimo is so sweet, he spoils Kass and will burn the whole city to the ground to protect her. I enjoyed this book it was really cute!
