Lately I have been into books with dual pov.

I absolutely enjoyed reading Puck Money.
It was cool that both main characters are queer and it was also refreshing that it wasn’t in a college setting like most sports romance books are.

It was such a fun read,
I absolutely loved Annie & Nick together they were both a mess and broken when they met each other and then they wind up healing and growing with each other.
It was a beautiful mess.

I loved Dani’s way of writing and how she did an amazing job with the characters.

This is another book I def recommend reading, I’m sure you’ll love Annie & Nick as much as I did!🥹🥹🤍

This was my first book of Dani’s and I really enjoyed it! I’m a sucker for lgbtq+ representation, but it’s rare to find a book where the MCs are opposite sex. I honestly forgot a couple times that she was bi and he was pan until it was mentioned again. (I also think that will appeal to people who don’t enjoy same sex spicy scenes.)

This is the third in the series. It was fine not having read the others first, but I would have enjoyed the side characters more if I had gotten to know them more during their stories. Dani was awesome in her storytelling though and didn’t give me every detail of the previous books. I got just enough of a tease that I’m intrigued and want to go back to read those as well.

Overall, this book was fun, emotional, spicy and a great read. I’m very happy I discovered this author!

Dani Galliaro consistently does a good job of balancing plot and romance and writing realistic conflicts. I felt the characters' relationship was not as developed as it could've been, especially compared to her other books, but I liked it nonetheless. I think Galliaro handles the queer representation in this book very well--she managed to pay attention to and detail their experiences without making it the forefront of the book, having the characters discuss it as they would any other aspect of identity, which was refreshing. As a bi woman, it was nice to see the representation, and though not all queer experiences are the same, I felt the experiences detailed were true to the bisexual experience and made the characters more relatable.

Puck Money by Dani Galliaro delivered a hockey romance like none I have ever read before. This is my first time reading Dani Galliaro and I am sure it will not be my last.

A sports agent/lawyer meets a hockey player, who finds themselves in a meet-cute situation while attending the wedding of the lawyer's best friends to the hockey player's teammate. The two soon find themselves in a secret friends with benefits relationship.

Puck Money introduces Annie and Nick, who met under the cutest of circumstances. Over the course of the pre-wedding and post wedding celebrations, the two developed a connection. Although their connection was undeniable, Nick's inexperience with women put a damper on things. Nick wants to make it up to her, but circumstances saw them go their separate ways after the wedding. Nevertheless, as fate would have it, a job offer saw Annie leaving Nashville and becoming Nick's agent.

Annie and Nick's professional connection makes it a no-no for any type of romantic relationship. Nick, however, is determined to spend time with Annie, even if it means doing so in secret. Nick is one of those heroes readers cannot help but fall in love with. Innocent, sweet, caring, attentive, protective, sensitive, and handsome. Their chemistry was off the charts, and despite their forbidden situation, they couldn't stay away from each other. Annie didn't want to fall in love, but her heart had other plans. Soon, the friends with benefits relationship she shared with Nick grew into an endearing romance.

Puck Money focuses on real life issues in relation to exploring and understanding one's sexuality. The author helped me understand what it meant to be pansexual. The writing style made for an easy read. Overall, I had a blast with this one. This is one of those books that was hard to put down. If you enjoy hockey romances as much as I do, then Puck Money is a must-read.This review was originally posted on Totally Addicted to Reading

I absolutely loved this book! The characters and everything!!!
I really loved that Annie’s “boyfriend” wasn’t able to go to the wedding. I knew he wasn’t going to show. Once I read about him I was like yep, he’s going to stand her up. Annie deserves so much better than him anyways. I love how close all of the friends are. Those are like friendships you dream of. Nicks character is one of the best! He’s the kindest and most sweetest and he also deserves the world. I love how immediate Nicks feelings for Annie are. They both don’t want repeats of the past. Their pasts are somewhat similar in a way. I was so excited with how this book ended!!!

Such a good book

He's younger, she's older.
She teaches him. Touch of forbidden romance.
Can't ask for a better combo of tropes.
Nick totally gives off golden retriever vibes ..... Even though he has a Chihuahua (named Greg).

It's redeaming, it's spicy.... It's even got queer rep.

[4.25 Stars😊] Puck Money is my second book by Dani Galliaro, and I loved Nick and Annie’s story so much! Sometimes you want a good, old-fashioned “all vibes, no plot” romance book and this one was a perfect weekend read! Dani Galliaro wrote two nuanced and dynamic characters with careful attention and grace, and weaved them into a tender and open-hearted yet humorous friends with benefits turned “will they/won’t they” love story full of charm, wit, a little bumbling from Nick, and a chihuahua named Greg calling most of the shots 😉

Add Puck Money to your TBR or download from KU if you’re in the mood for:

Annie and Nick… my my my. This book was NOT what I expected, but in the end it was so much more.
Annie, beautiful sports attorney, is bi and Nick, the young hot new Princes hockey player is pansexuel.
They both share a rocky past with bad luck in love but everything changes the night they met at Annie’s best friend’s wedding. Both of them make a crazy pact and the story unfolds from there, in the most beautiful way.
He’s a real cinnamon roll and she’s a strong FMC, both kicking butt at their careers.

I have enjoyed reading their story very much, the plot was well thought through, keeping me interesting from
beginning to end, the characters were amazing, with all the side characters from books 1&2 showing up and having a big presence, not taking the stage light from Annie and Nick though. The world building was the best, with them having to deal with their sexuality and society and being misunderstood and not seen oftentimes. Oh and the spice level? Hmm mhm hm 😏

I give this book 4.5 stars, it was another amazing romance story by the fabulous Dani Galliaro!

When I flipped the last page of this book my heart was so full and so warm. This book allowed me to take time out of this hard busy world and enjoy a truly beautiful love story.

I love how the author was able to touch on so many items from facing a person’s sexuality to the stress money troubles takes on a person’s mental health without it feeling forced or over the top. And I honestly don’t know if I could love these characters any more than I do, I was cheering so hard for them. Annie is so strong and kind and fiercely independent, everything I love in a woman and Nick was such a teddy bear, so sweet and thoughtful. Their story is truly beautiful, and I am so thankful Dani created it, my eyes may have sprung a leak towards the end. If you are looking for a feel-good story that faces real life issues this is the book for you.

Oh lord little baby Nick where do I start. He’s just fumbling around trying to take his teammates advice and it goes so wrong so often. I loved that we have a hockey book where our love interest isn’t a sex god.

I like the tarot card reading at the beginning of each chapter and how that plays into his life for Nick. It had me pulling out my old ‘tarot for beginners’

Book was enjoyable and both characters were more like the average person than most ice hockey romances (he’s still a pro player lol)

Only negative is that the timeline moves pretty fast. Months just kind of flick past without much detail.

I received this advanced readers copy in exchange a review. My thoughts and opinions are my own.

Received as an ARC in return for my honest review.

🏒 Ice hockey goalie
🏒 Spicy lessons
🏒 Forced proximity
🏒 Workplace relationship
🏒 Friends with benefits to lovers
🏒 Queer representation

This was my first book by Dani and I really enjoyed myself whilst reading it. The characters were really well thought out and their storyline was just the right amount of everything you could want in a contemporary romance. They were a hot mess along the way but that just made me relate to Nick and Annie all that little bit more, they were likeable and realistic.

I haven’t read the other books in this series but will more than likely go back and read them now ☺️

This book is book 3 of the Unintentional Puck Bunny Series. U can read them as standalones or for fumm character experience. U should read them in order.

Annie and Obi "Nick" are both Bi. Obi had never been with a woman before and at his teammates' wedding and Annie's best friend since 2nd grade. Obi met Annie, who had just broken up with her married boyfriend. Obi really likes Annie and wants to make her happy even if it's just this one weekend. Obi is really inexperienced with women, so ur definitely gonna laugh at some of the crazy stuff that happened that night, lol. Nick is the cutest lol he will have u rollin'. And in this book, u get to see him and Annie's journey. Can't wait to read the rest of the series. This book was so good.

This was such a cute and beautiful story for Nick and Annie! I love how sweet Nick is and nervous at first, but later when his dirty talk comes out.....it's FIRE! That kitchen scene is one of my favorites, IYKYK. And I love how their story ends - it's simply perfect for them!

If you love hockey romances, friends with benefits, workplace romances, with some LGBTQ+ representation, then this is the perfect contemporary romance to read!

This books got me through my post moving cold!! I loved this thing, it was light and fun and oh my gosh did I love both of our MCs. I loved the dynamic between them and really appreciated the bi/pan representation in this book and how that played into their relationship.

If you’re looking for something fun, cozy, and an absolutely adorable MMC this is it!

Annie is recovering from break up with a coworker and she meets Nick at her friend’s wedding in California. Nick has been hurt before and is gun shy so their interaction between the two was fun to read. After the wedding Annie had to return back to work and her home in Tennessee. Annie doesn’t stay in Tennessee long before she takes a job in California to be near her BBF. Once she settled and working; Annie and Nick become friends w/ benefits. It was so heartwarming and delightful how their friends w/benefits turns into more. The author did it again and wrote a wonderful story that was impossible to put down until I finished it.

This is the third stand alone book in an series called Unintentional Puck Bunny so if you like me haven't read the first two books, Puck Funny and Puck Honey, but feels like that the blurb sounds appealing to you then it won't be a problem.

Puck Money contains easy to like characters, secrets, funny moments, mature content and language so it is a book for people at the age 18 and older.

If you are looking for a hockey romance with characters with different sexual orientations, will they won't they vibe and secret relationships then this might be a book for you.

I did enjoyed this book and I'm now looking forward to read the first two books in the series while waiting for the other two books to come to life 😍.

This was a first for me from Dani, but I enjoyed the read. It was interesting and kept me entertained throughout. I didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything by coming into the series at book 3, but the other characters’ stories seem entertaining as well.
I enjoyed the progression of the relationship between Anna and Nick. They had a weird journey to get to their happy ending, but it was an enjoyable one to take with them.

I do love a dog named Greg too! Haha.

Annie and Nick meet during Kat and Guy’s wedding and the meet cute is so cute. I’m not gonna tell you what happens, you need to read it for yourself. Kat and Guy are the main characters from book 1, Puck Funny. (You don’t have to read them in order, but the Maid of Honour’s speech is a spoiler for book 1 so if you don’t want that, skip over it.) They form a connection over the four days or so that they’re at the wedding and then they go back to their respective cities. Months later Annie becomes Nick’s agent and they end up in a secret friends-with-benefits situation.

This story is so authentic in the way he is truly awkward, as someone who had no experience with girls. It’s a slow learning process. He doesn’t suddenly become confident in the bedroom after a couple of sessions. Speaking of which, I love how his confidence grows both in and outside the bedroom. After a while, I forgot that he’s 5 years younger than her. And the spice in this book was really spicing. It has a good balance of spice and plot, but there were a lot of things that happened that weren’t very vanilla.

Annie also experiences a lot of character growth, working through her insecurities in her personal life and professional life and going after what she wants in her career.

Annie and Nick are perfect for each other. They both have insecurities that kinda have the same root cause. So they understand each other more than anyone else in their lives. They also bring out the best in each other. There is so much depth to these characters and they’re so relatable. The author did a great job when she crafted them. She’s created a world I would love to live in, with lots of fun banter and side characters who form a supportive community. And I look forward to spending more time with them in future books. There are two more books that should be coming out later this year.

This would have been a 5 star read for me but there was one thing I didn’t vibe with. I’m going to be vague cos it happens towards the end. It was how Annie’s work situation got resolved so perfectly. Good things happened and I was excited and then more things happened and I was like, okay that’s a little over the top. That’s not very believable. It pulled me out of the story a bit. But the epilogue was epic. This author writes the best epilogues, and this is coming from someone who doesn’t care much for epilogues. Her epilogues will melt your heart. I wish I could tell you why I love the epilogue, but you’re going to have to read it for yourself.
If you like a swoony, spicy hockey romance with a cinnamon roll MMC with the most loveable dog, a strong, caring FMC, found family vibes, lots of healing and growth, that will have you giggling and kicking your feet, you need to read this.

*I received a complementary ebook from Happily Booked Pr and this is my honest review.

ARC REVIEW

✔️Friends with Benefits
🏳️‍🌈Queer Rep
🏒Hockey Romance
🏢Secret Workplace Romance
🫂Dual POV
😜Roleplay
🔥Spicy lessons

This is the first book I’ve read by Dani Galliaro-the cover reveal came up in my instagram feed and I couldn’t hit the button quick enough. A spicy hockey romance about a goalie with queer rep? I was signing the fuck up and I’m glad I did because I had a great time reading this. I've have since gone back and read the first two books in this series. For those that have been waiting for Obi’s story, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

This book genuinely made me laugh out loud in places but I think the thing I enjoyed most was that Dani Gilliaro has given us characters that are stunningly and (sometimes) awkwardly human, messes and all. She has created a male protagonist who is off-the-charts-awkward in some ways but also so sincere that you can’t help but fall a little in love with him. Add in Annie’s hesitations and insecurities and you have two characters who are really relatable which is rare in a lot of the sports romance I've read. And while I wasn’t quite sure how I felt about her in the beginning, it wasn’t long before I was fully on the Nick and Annie train. Both Annie and Nick have made some not-so-great decisions in their pasts and so this romance has hints of redemption as well. And Annie’s (spicy) lessons for Nick? 🔥🔥I did not know how much I would ADORE a male protag who was inexperienced but not a sex god immediately.

I think the only thing that bumps this down from 5 stars to 4 for me is that the timeline moves quickly. I do love that this wasn’t an insta-love story (though insta-lust/infatuation on Nick’s part was definitely there) and that the fact that the book takes place over so many months means it feels realistic to have them fall in love, especially since it’s got the secret workplace romance aspect. But it feels like a little something was missed with the time moving so quickly.

Final notes:

-I would tag this as a romance involving a hockey player versus a hockey romance

-Queer Rep: Nick is pansexual and Annie is bi. This plays into their pasts and some of the things they personally struggle with in their present (together). Everyone’s experience is different but as a bi woman, I felt like the author did a good job here of including Nick and Annie’s sexualities as part of their characters without having it feel like a token or throwaway thing. Having two queer characters here straight up made me give a little cheer and I adored the discussion about the difference between being bi and pan

-The author includes trigger warnings in her author’s note in the beginning to pay attention to (something I still thrill over whenever I see one in a book). I’ve read plenty of books where one or more of the characters were in debt so I didn’t think this would bother me but I found that Galliaro had found a rather brilliant way to really drive home the feelings behind debt and trying to get out of it without hitting you over the head with it in the story itself (slight spoiler: each chapter starts with a debt balance which means it's always, stressful-y, there for you to have to stare at in black and white, just like it never leaves Annie's mind and motivates some of things that made me want to pull my hair out). If this, or anything else in the trigger section, is a hit for you, I would give this a miss.

I absolutely loved reading Puck Money; it was such a sweet read, and the main male character Nick was so utterly adorable that I just wanted to squish him.

The book centres around Annie and Nick. Annie has been having a relationship with her married boss, and on the way to her best friend's wedding, she realises she is fed up with being second best and strung along and ends things. She's happy for her friend, but there's an element of sadness as she feels like she's never going to be somebody's first choice. Only she meets Nick, and she's definitely his first choice, but she's too blind to see it. He's so kind and sweet to her, and they have great chemistry, but when it comes to getting down and dirty, it's absolutely terrible. Annie judges him for that, when in reality, although Nick might be some hotshot pro hockey player, he's actually got no experience with women. He's a pansexual male, and his only sexual experiences have been with another man, so he doesn't really know what he's doing, but his sexuality is a secret, and so Annie doesn't know that.

I loved Nick. He was so awkward and bumbling and constantly getting it wrong when trying to take his teammate's advice, and that just made him seem so real and so likeable to me. I loved that he said and did the wrong thing but that it was genuinely an error and he was just a sweetheart, which was clear from his relationship with sideline characters. Despite his initial anger at Annie when he found out she'd shared details of his lack of sexual finesse, I was glad they managed to develop a friendship and understanding from it.

Annie's character was another that was easily relatable. She could seem a bit standoffish, and at first, I wasn't sure I would like her, but as the book continued and we got more of her POV and inner dialogue and started to see the real person, her actions became more understandable. She's massively insecure when it comes to relationships, as she's always been a dirty little secret, so she can't seem to fathom that she can ever have or be more, and then there's the added pressure of her career as a sports agent. She's worked so hard and applied more pressure on herself by taking on her mother's medical debts that she's drowning, and so it just continues to be a cycle of doing everything everybody else wants and forgetting about her own wants and needs.

There were some heartbreaking moments, but I loved that Nick and Annie were able to break their own cycles and develop something special. There were some beautiful moments between the two of them, and I loved every minute, from the cringy moments to the laughs out loud and not forgetting the spice. It's a great all-rounder that left me with a smile on my face.

Annie is waiting for her boyfriend to arrive at the airport for their flight to her best friend’s wedding when she gets a text he will not make it. Why, you ask? Because his wife found out about their affair. Having enough of being the other woman, Annie ends their affair and boards the plane for what she thinks will be a very lonely weekend.

Enter Nick Oberbeck. The minute he sees Annie, he’s in love (he just doesn’t know it yet). He spends the weekend trying to take her mind off of her ex and the messed up situation she was in. At the rehearsal dinner, Nick and Annie decide to sneak off for a little rendezvous in the bushes when Annie realizes Nick is bad at sex.

Some girl talk on the wedding day, move across the country, and a new job later, Annie finds herself as Nick’s agent. But Nick won’t let their professional relationship get in the way of redeeming himself with Annie.

Nick is an adorable little cinnamon roll, and I just want to eat him up. He is such a caring and attentive MMC, and I can’t get enough - And I’m not the only one. The instant chemistry between Nick and Annie grew into a goal-worthy romance. They knew they would fall in love no matter how many times they remembered they were friends first.

I definitely want to check out the rest of the Unintentional Puck Bunny series in the future.

Puck Money is perfect for readers who enjoy dog daddies, a hockey romance that will melt your heart, and a swoon-worthy love story.

Thank you to Dani Galliaro and Happily Booked PR for the ARC.

In the third installment of her Unintentional Puck Bunnies Series, Dani Galliaro introduces us to her first set of queer characters, Obi and Annie. He’s Pan, she’s Bi, and they are both head over heels for each other. It’s the type of story I love to read – they both love each other but it’s a standoff – neither one wants to admit it to the other! Dani Galliaro is GREAT at writing stories where the characters dance around love, and it’s always a pleasure to read her books.
Overall Rating: 4/5
Spice Meter: 3/5
Tropes:
Romance/Contemporary Romance
Hockey Player / Sports Romance
LGBTQ+ Representation
Inexperienced MMC
Workplace Romance
Forbidden Romance
Golden Retriever/Cinnamon Roll MMC
Age Gap (She’s older!)
Characters:
Nick Oberbeck (Obi): Goalie for the LA Princes, he’s pansexual, but has never dated or been with a woman. Unlucky in love, and a young prodigy in goal, Nick finds himself completely head over heels for Annie at Guy and Kitty’s Wedding. Head over heels, but also WAY out of his league/depth
Annie Markham: Kitty’s BFF (we haven’t seen her since Puck Funny!), is Kitty’s Maid of Honor. She tries to hook up with Obi, but he’s hopelessly inexperienced. An opportunity presents itself to Annie, and she moves to LA, and is assigned to be Obi’s sports agent. She KNOWS hooking up with Obi is wrong…but she can’t help herself. Annie has also taken on a HUGE medical debt, and is trying everything she can to get out of it.
Some Highlights:
- I was very excited for Obi’s story – Galliaro does a fantastic job of giving her readers previews of what to expect in the next books, and the little tidbits she dropped about Obi in Puck Funny/Money were perfect. I encourage readers to go back and search for Obi’s name in Puck Funny/Money to pick up details about his personality before you read Puck Money.
- The Thanksgiving and Christmas stories were SO SWEET – and SO Dani Galliaro. Galliaro has written a Christmas Novella, (Glittery), and these scenes reminded me of this novella. Galliaro is fantastic at weaving holidays into her books, and this was another great example.
- I love that Galliaro did some LGBTQ+ rep in this one! So often authors can get preachy about LGBTQ stuff in books – this one is written how (I feel) all books should be – that anyone can be LGBTQ+, and it shouldn’t matter who or how you love. Annie and Obi just were who they were. Accepted by everyone, and it was no big deal. I loved that. I’m not in the community, but firmly an ally, and I wish that’s how it was in real life. Just be who you are. Galliaro did a great job with this!
- I’m looking forward to Book 4! Can’t wait to see who we meet on the Princes next!

You can be at the top of your game and have no game.
Nick Oberbeck is the young star goalie for the Los Angeles Princes. With all the money and prestige, he should be able to get anyone he wants as a partner. So why can’t the golden boy seem to make the connections he craves?
Nick’s path collides with reliable, responsible golden girl Annie Markham when they’re both in their friends’ wedding. Lucky for him, Annie’s fresh off a heartbreak involving a coworker. Nick tries his best to bag Annie, and succeeds . . .
They go their separate ways until Annie has a work opportunity in L.A.: an opportunity to be Nick’s sports agent.
Neither of them wants to repeat their past mistakes, but Nick asks Annie for a big favor.
The catch? No one can know.
In a story where no one’s perfect and love’s not the goal, can they save their connection?

Nick Oberbeck 👏🏻 is 👏🏻 EVERYTHING

Okay, Puck Money focuses on our main characters Annie and Nick.

Annie is a rule follower, overall boss lady and is unlucky in the love department. She is usually a secret. All she wants is to be free. Living in Tennessee and working hard to take care of her mother’s medical debt.

Nick is the goalie for the LA Princes and also unlucky when it comes to love. Obi speaks with a wisdom beyond his mere 21 years but can't ever seem to get it right when it comes to love.

When Annie and Nick first meet, they get off to a rocky start only to realize they are attending the same wedding. Their chemistry is unmistakable but after a failed rendezvous, it looks like they might just be better off as friends. But Nick doesn't give up that easy, he is determined to do right by Annie. They will never see each other again so what's the harm?

What happens when Annie finds herself moving to LA for a new job and her client? None other than Nick Oberbeck. Now they are in close proximity and the chemistry is burning hot.

Will Annie stay her usual rule follower self or will she finally do something for herself?

What to expect:
💋 Workplace Romance
🏒 Hockey Player x His Agent
💕 Friends with Benefits
🌶️ Spicy Lessons
🏳️‍🌈 LGBTQ+ Rep

@danigalliaroauthor thank you for writing the brilliance that is Nick Oberbeck. He is easily my favorite MMC of this series. His quirks are amazing, making him relatable and so lovable.

There are trigger warnings listed at the back of the book so make sure to check those before reading. This was such a fun read for me and I would highly suggest it. I spent most of the time laughing at poor Nick's expense.

If you are looking for a fun read that will have you laughing, with no 3rd act breakup and relatable characters I would suggest reading Puck Money. It is the 3rd book in the series so I do suggest reading the first 2 books, Puck Funny and Puck Honey, before this one. It is not necessary to follow what is going on though, you just spoil the character mashups for yourself if you don't.
