Lisa Schneidau is a performance storyteller, author and environmentalist living in Devon. She specialises in traditional stories about land, sea and sky from all over the world.

Lisa uses story to explore our connections with the natural world. She works with schools, communities and organisations across the UK and beyond. She also holds workshops and story walks to encourage the development of storytelling skills in nature education and rewilding projects. Another magical addition to Lisa Schneidau's folktale collection. I could listen to her tell these stories until the day I die. This book was particularly up my street having a folk/shanty musician for a partner!

A wonderful collection of folk tales, brought to life wonderfully by the author. I've really enjoyed each of her books and this one lived up to the high expectations set by her earlier books. A fascinating mix of stories that demonstrate our deep connection to the sea. Great to dip into, great to share. Love the sweet illustrations too!
