Tangled Auras #2

Unbidden Dreams and Unerring Destiny

Rate this book
The most recent attempt on Adelaide’s life almost took her mate’s life instead. After saving Osmund, Adi realized she must be ruthless in defense of her mates.

The rest of her problems aren’t so clear-cut.

All she wants to do is explore the depths of her mate bonds with Osmund and Bryn. However, the pregnancy her grandmother is hoping for is not forthcoming, leaving Adi without claim to—and protection of—the throne. Rivals and others who won’t support her rule, given her questionable bloodline, won’t simply stand by.

Adi can’t even make the journey to her mate’s homelands without fearing it will draw her attention away from her duties and the dark plots that swirl around her.

And threats are brewing from without as well as from rebel factions—the same that would kill Bryn if he dared leave—are gaining power. Plus, Bryn’s confusing new visions seem to foretell some kind of veiled destiny that hangs over them like a cloud.

Will Adi and her mates be able to keep each other safe as danger mounts from all sides? Will Adi be able to take the throne and alter the path of the Fae for the better? Will Adi determine if she even wants to rule the decadent and callous Green Court before a foe topples her or fate decides for her? Or will her sudden infatuation with an unseelie guard become the most unexpected danger of all?

Tilly and her life partner live in the snowy north and homeschool their clutch of children. If she’s not reading, writing, mainlining iced oat milk lattes, swimming, or herding cats, she’s definitely cursing about her dead sourdough starter (again) or working on her cake decorating skills so she doesn’t embarrass herself at the kids’ bake sale.

*received an arc of the book from the author in exchange for an honest review*

This is the second book in the series and it immediately picks up after the first book. We get to see the growth between the three characters and we get to see how they built their dynamic. They are definitely secure in their relationship in this book and its good to see them flow together.

Plot wise, we do get to see more of them navigating the same political issues from the first book. The only reason I didn’t give it a five star was because the issues, with the kingdom specifically, felt repetitive to me, and I wish we had new issues. Despite, that, it was still enjoyable nonetheless.

The relationships grew beautifully in my opinion! They each have growth in different ways and with each other. We get a new dynamic between Bryn and Ossy as they grow their own form of love towards each other. I loved the slow progression between the two of them as they figured out this new thing they have with one another, it made it feel more authentic and not just a ‘we are mates so we may as well’ if that makes sense.

Also, we finally get someone for Rory and I was laughing and cheering for him so hard!

I definitely recommend the follow up in the series!

Book two in this fae court series adds some interesting developments to Adi and her family, where auras get tangled even more. We discover more of the fae world alongside Adi and her men, and learn it's not just the court of Adi's grandmother where the fae tend to behave badly... I have to admit I'm fascinated by the dynamics between all these characters, the constant threats they face from within and outside their families, and how hard it is for all of them to find some semblance of peace and quiet.

What I wasn't entirely prepared for when starting this book, was the way a new female character is added to the family. I'm not against FF personally, and I'm not even against it in a poly romance either, but I did struggle a little bit with the relationship development within their family. Perhaps I should have been prepared for it, knowing that the fae in this series have a different view on relationships, but I still struggled with it a little bit. That doesn't have impact on the storyline itself though, which I enjoyed, but it might be important for some of you to know before diving in.

This second book does end in a bit of a cliffhanger, but nothing too bad. If the author had stopped this book two or three chapters earlier, things would have been a lot harder!

𝐔𝐧𝐛𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐃𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐔𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐲 is the 2nd book in the Tangled Auras series by Tilly Bramley, featuring more of the dark romantasy, fated mates saga of Adi, Bryn, and Ossy. Picking up where the first book left off, this book is consistent with the complex world building and beautiful imagery, but this one gives us more character development. They are still on Adi’s political journey, but as they visit different lands, the threats seem to multiply, bringing constant drama, action, multiple plot twists, and yes, all the spicy passion! There are sooo many characters though, with unique names, that my brain couldn’t always keep track.😅 I was suspicious of any change to the throuple, and the expansion wasn’t my favorite, but it worked for them, and it did bring some exciting drama.😉 I look forward to seeing how some of the newly discovered drama shakes out in the next book!

I received an ARC for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.

I love when the second book in the series picks up right where book one left off! There’s no backstory to get caught up on, just immediately able to jump back into a world and with characters you already know you love. This is how Tilley begins this book, right where book one left off!!

Ari, Ossy, and Bryn are back and better than ever. Their romance flourishes, but doesn’t take away from all the other plot lines throughout the story. Political dealings keep readers engaged and many revelations made throughout the book keeps readers on their toes.

Tilley introduces new characters and dynamics that brings intrigue, but cohesiveness to already beloved throuple. She gives a new insight to fated mates that is unique to her books compared to fated mates in other fae stories. She writes with a voice that is unapologetic, as it should be, brining notice to topics that are written into a fantasy world, are everyday encounters for many people in the real world. Tilley beautifully remind readers that love is love, period.

As always review trigger warnings before reading.

ARC Review: Unbidden Dreams and Unerring Destiny
Stars: ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️1/2

“Unbidden Dreams and Unerring Destiny” by Tilly Bradley is a thrilling second installment in this fae court dark romantsy series. After a near-fatal attack on her mate Osmund, Adi must protect her mates, Osmund and Bryn, while navigating complex political challenges and personal threats.

Bradley ties up loose ends from the first book and sets the stage for deeper character development and new plot twists. The introduction of a new character and multiple points of view enrich the story. While the plot pace slows, it allows for substantial character growth, making the narrative more engaging.

With internal and external threats, Bryn’s new visions, and Adi’s unexpected feelings for an unseelie guard, the story remains complex and captivating. The cliffhanger ending leaves fans eagerly awaiting the next installment. Overall, it’s a spicy and satisfying read that deepens the series’ allure and sets up exciting future developments.

Book Two in The Tangled Aura Novels by Tilly Bramley did not disappoint! We immediately drop back into the middle of chaos and drama with Adi & the boys. I loved seeing the three of them grow together and the glimpses at members of Adi’s family and friends. Adi moving through the struggles of The Nymph Court and the larger issues of The EA when she’d really love to be anywhere else at all gives an extra strain of conflict to an already continuous issue. We meet a new character in this book who the jury is still out on how I feel about them, but this book was easily more engaging than the first and that’s saying a lot! Again, I finished this book in one sitting, and was left desperate to know what happens in the next!

I usually do not like fantasy, but these books have really surprised me. This book is not slow to start. Tilly Bramley sure knows how to pull the reader in quickly!
The spice level is 6 out of 5. This is coming from someone who loves EL James and Sylvia Day. There are sexy parts that I expected to detest but I liked them more than I’m willing to admit. There are other parts that are not for me but they didn’t last forever so I was still able to enjoy the story.
No spoilers, but the ending is a roller coaster so hold onto your hat.

This is book 2 in the Tangled Auras series. Just over 200 pages, and Tilly has fitted so much into this book again. Tilly picked this story up right where book one finished. I love the relationship between Adi, Bryn, and Ossy. In this book, Adi must really fight for her mates and family. We also get a new love interest in this book. There is a lot of spice and detail in this book too.We are left on a cliffhanger, and I can't wait to read book three

This book picked up right where we left off in book one, and Adi must fight now more than ever, not only for her mates but her court as well. Although the beginning started a little slow, this book is a great sequel to this series. Cannot wait for the next one. Spice comes through for me, and I love the addition to the love train. I really feel connected to these characters and want more of them.Never thought I would love a reverse harem/polyamory this much but the more I read them, the more I love them. Felt the ending was a bit rushed and would have loved a little added drama to it. Overall a great sequel!

Tilly Bramley has done it yet again with her second installment to the Tangled Auras series; “Unbidden Dreams and Unerring Destiny.”
This book picks up where book one left off. Adi is once again navigating the complex life at court and the politics she must suffer through in order to rule. With her mates Bryn and Osmund by her side she really comes into her own and harnesses her protection in a lot of aspects. I really enjoyed the character development of our three lovers and how they are more connected than ever. However, peace is fleeting and Adi must face threats from every side, including people close to one of her mates. As new characters are introduced we also meet a young unseelie guard who has intrigued Adi in a way she was not expecting. While Adi is accepting of the unseelie, her mates are on the fence. Book two leaves us on a cliffhanger but I anticipate that book 3 in the series will be worth the wait!

I need the next book nowwww!
the continuation of Adi’s life and story is so angsty and well done, I couldn’t put this book down.
I love the dichotomy between all of their relationships with each other, and as a group. I was on the edge of my seat constantly for what would happen next!

I just love Ossy, Adi and Brynn so much! I love the evolution of Ossy & Brynn's relationship as Metamours to Lovers.

I can't wait to see how you finish off this series after all those twists and that ending! Will Adi take the throne?

Why chose when you got the perfect man between the two? Ossy shines through on this one the perfect person to be sandwiched between too hot headed, sassy pants. Cliff hanger at the end has me begging for number 3!

After reading the first book in Tilly Bramley’s series, Tasteful Anarchy & Tangled Auras, I was thrilled to be accepted to read an advanced copy of Unbidden Dreams & Unerring Destiny thanks to the author in exchange for an honest review.

Adi totally came into her own badassery in this book, and I was absolutely THERE for it. It was so heartwarming seeing the relationships between Ari, Ossy and Bryn after the near-disastrous experiences from the last book. Ossy and Bryn’s relationship and protectiveness over each other was super cute, and I appreciated seeing a different side of Ossy navigating his own insecurities. And I will always have a special spot for our alpha Bryn 🥵

There was also a great deal of complex political dealings, which kept the reader engaged alongside numerous familial revelations. My favourite scenes in the book took place in the underlie court, where we were faced with several plot twists that really caught me by surprise. The betrayals, new love interest, and THAT ENDING? Let me tell you, this series just keeps getting better and better throughout each book, so I am itching for the next book in this series expecting it to be the best one yet!

If you are a fan of fated mates, Norse/Celtic mythology, why choose romance, and lots of spice 🌶️, you definitely want to check out this series!

"He harrumphs vaguely. I wait; I know I can't tear him away from Jane Austen. When he finishes the page, he dog-ears the corner and shuts the book. Blasphemy. I glare at him for disfiguring a book as I gave a hundred times already. He completely ignores my ire."

This series. 😍😍

I am absolutely obsessed. I could not put this down and I could not absorb the book into my brain fast enough.

I love every single character in this "thruple" and I say that loosely .. because you have to read the book to find out why.

The spice is amazing, the story is phenomenal, the character's are perfect, and the twists and turns are out of this world.

I read 24 books in May ... and this was my top read.

You get:
• Spicy
• Multiple POV
• Polyamory
• Celtic & Norse Mythology
• Alternative History
• Touch Them & ☠️
• Fated Mates

I highly suggest you pick this one up off Amazon on June 15th when it is released! 🥵

Hello, and welcome to my TED talk of why you need to read the Tangled Auras series. BUCKLE UP! Nymph fae court, political ruthlessness between family, fated mates, everybody loves everybody, throw in a handful of violent urges, with a hit of follow through. Sprinkle in some magic and measure that spice with your f*cking heart. I am completely feral for this trio of MCs - Adi, Bryn, and Ossy - and they way they beautifully play off of each other, inside and outside of the bedroom. Adi’s search for freedom and clarity with both Bryn (dom daddy) and Ossy (my sweet Nordic cinnamon roll) at her side leads to them finding a new mate (!!!) as well as finding out more about themselves and the fae kingdom than they had bargained for. Okay, NOW GO READ IT!

Absolutely flawless

Book 2 in the Tangled Auras series was action packed and full of drama, with frequent spice scenes sprinkled in. The ending of course left me dying for the next book, but at least there's no heartbreaking cliffhanger. We got to end on a positive note but with many questions yet to be answered- which is why I'll be waiting on the edge of my seat for book 3 to come out.

Spice was the perfect amount of steamy and sweet. The emotional moments of Osmund seeing his mother's true nature and Bryn being a black cat that melts into a puddle for Adelaide were so amazing. My gasps were getting louder and louder as the twists began to unfold.
