⤷ Soooooooo that plot twist was insane I saw it coming from a mile away but it was still executed so well. 🤌

First of all let me just say FUCK CHARLES DAVENPORT YOU LITTLE BITCH like he's so scary omg.

Anyways, still kinda hate Kaos he ate with the apology but like still kinda hate him. He deserved his brothers beating him up.

I love my crazy Kovu omg, he's such a cutie, he's so inlove with her it's crazy.
Bishop's crashout was sooo valid honestly like why tf would Kaos do that shit though?
Crew somehow maintained his control yet again idk how honestly.

--------------------------------------
I KNEW IT HOLY SHIT I KNEW IT
OMG THAT PLOT TWIST HOLY FUCK I'M DYING
OH MY GOD I KNEW IT BUT I'M SO FRICKING SURPRISED I WAS RIGHT OH MY GOD
I WANTED TO GIVE A PROPER REVIEW FOR THIS BOOK BUT IT SEEMS LIKE IT'S GONNA HAVE TO WAIT.

No because Montana didn’t have to do us like that. If you thought book 1 was good? BUCKLE UP BABY. Camilla is cunty in the BEST WAY POSSIBLE. Chapter 30?! I was squealing, cheering, hollering and maybe even barking? Daddy cash has me practically falling apart in this book.

That ending has me yet again speechless. HOW DOES ONE WAIT FOR BOOK 3?!!!?

*thank you so much for an ARC in exchange for an honest review*

Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Spicy content 🌶🌶🌶🌶/5

Ahhh, Montana, you have done it again! I was privileged to get this as an ARC, and oh my goodness, I am so happy I did because after that last cliffhanger, I was biting my nails in anticipation.

Mind you, this also ends on a cliffhanger, so I am back to square one, haha

I absolutely love this book! It is such a great read! The drama, the suspense, the spice, and it all works so well together that there is never a dull moment.

Camilla is such a strong character while still having her self-doubt moments, but they are few and far between, and I can not wait to see where this series goes.
These men, however, will be the death of me, and I love everyone second of it. If you are a fan of reverse harems, this book will be right up your ally.

Now, all that is left is to bite my fingers in anticipation until the next one!

Check out tashie_leereads for my bookstagram! :)

Let me start by saying a huge thank you to the author, Montana Fyre and The Next Step Pr Team for sending me an advanced readers copy of this book. I dropped everything I was doing to read this book the minute it hit my kindle. So thank you for letting me be apart of the arc team for ‘They Will Burn’, I am so grateful about this opportunity.

Now let’s move on with the review.

OH GOD, I’M OBSESSED ABSOLUTELY AND COMPLETELY OBSESSED! I can honestly say that I am obsessed with this series so far and I need book three as soon as possible. ‘They Will Burn’ is the second book of the Syndicate of the Legion series and you will have to read book one ‘In the Shadows’ before reading this one because they end book one on a cliffhanger. Anyways the more I read about the Legions the more invested I get, Bishop, Kovu, Kaos and Daddy Crew are four morally grey men that I will never get over. I love how each of there characters feel like there own person, and I love there individual relationships with Camilla but I also love there combined relationships with Camilla. Speaking of Camilla I have to say how much I love her, Camilla is a bad ass mafia queen (yes queen, this girl is no princess, unless she’s Kaos princess😉). But she’s a mafia queen with a sweet and sensitive side but she’s also strong, feisty, and resilient. I love her so much and I think she’s the perfect match for these four morally grey men.
I love these characters, I’m hooked on this plot, once again I have to say that I’m obsessed and I’ll be excitedly waiting for book three of this series.

This book and the entire series have me completely captivated. The writing, the plot, and the immersive experience it provides are truly exceptional.

“They Will Burn” picks up right where “In the Shadows” left off, starting from that heart-wrenching cliffhanger. We follow Bishop, Kovu, Kaos, and Crew as they fight to rescue Camilla.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching Camilla evolve into a fierce, powerful, and resilient mafia queen. It’s also been delightful to see her sensitive side with each of the morally grey men she now shares a home with.

This story does an excellent job of showcasing each character as an individual while also highlighting how perfectly they function as a family. I was especially thrilled when Kaos finally gave in to his feelings for Camilla and allowed himself to find happiness.

And believe me, the cliffhanger at the end of this book is totally unexpected. I don’t know how I’m supposed to wait for the next installment. If you haven’t started this series yet, I highly recommend doing yourself a favour and diving into it immediately.

The chokehold this series has on me!

Okay, first off. I claim Kovu… he’s mine and no one can tell me different. Don’t get me wrong, I love all of Camilla’s guys… but Kovu is the perfect mix of loyal golden retriever and psycho.

I was so happy to watch Kaos in this book he less of a sh*t head than he was in book one. Crew and Bishop are wonderful and so hot.

I won’t lie, the first part of this book was hard to read, the fall out from the cliff hanger of book one was pretty bad. But once those guys got their girl back? Oh it was wonderful! Even with danger lurking at every corner.

Montana Fyre dropped a big bomb on the cliff of this book… and now I need book three, badly. The cliffhanger isn’t has devastating…. But I absolutely need to see how it’s going to play out. SO MANY QUESTIONS!

The spice is in this… I do believe this may be Montana’s spiciest book to date. Amount is great with all the plot but dear gods… the kinks in this?! Definitely made up for the lack of spice in book one!

** I’ve been very careful to avoid spoilers but if you hate even the possibility of a spoiler. Read my review at your own risk**

I’m living for this series.

KOVU
Bloodthirsty little joker of the pack. Vicious yet unwavering in his care for his little lamb. The scars and backstory deserve a few chapters but the mystery behind him is what makes his character so enigmatic. I’m enjoying this playful side to him.

BISHOP
Love at first site for the sadist who enjoys dishing out punishments. His passion and possessiveness has been unwavering and his dedication is unmatched. Both for family and business. Putting aside his love of violence (leaving that for the Ks) he has become a businessman, a position thrust upon him via necessity. *Please keep the detailed descriptions of him dressed in a suit going through the series*

KAOS
Masochistic with his preferences when with his princess… if the spicey kitchen scene is anything to go by. And I’m living for this character. Did I loathe him after book one, yes. But now… does his name at the top of a chapter make me smile. Yes. More Kaos more of the time please. Chapter 55 was enlightening.

CREW
Daddy Crew runs the show but his thoughts are betraying him as his little menace runs rings around him. For me he’s the character that has the least depth, but that by no means makes his character weak. Keen to learn more about his past as a young dad.

CAMILLA
Absolutely love this character. She is sad, powerful, angry, vengeful, loving, soft…her characters depth has been so well built I am too invested in her. She runs rings around everyone and the juxtaposition from her powerful mafia status to her subordinate intimacy status is written with thought.

PLOT
The plot isn’t too heavy with spice or sexual innuendos which is great, as when a spicey scene comes up I’m not overloaded with it all.
The plot tracks nicely and is easy to follow. Sometimes I would need to reread a section of dialogue to ensure I knew who has been speaking but the non verbal descriptors build the scenes well.
There was definitely a respectable cliffhanger the finish up. I’ll leave it at that because I’m still internally screaming…

Masterpiece.

This is exactly how I want men to be obsessed with their woman.

And I think I have my favorite man in this series.
Don't get me wrong. I love all four of them, but Kovu has a special place in this book.

Maybe that will change in the next book, but in this one he wins. I love how obsessed he's with her. How he claims and marks her as his. How he can't live and breathe without her.

Read this book series..Is absolutely brilliant..

I am enjoying this series so far, but there seem to be some issues that are annoying enough to keep chipping away at my enjoyment.

Continuity is a big issue, not to mention the overlapping time between chapters/POV. It was super repetitive and not needed. Once or twice is one thing, but it kept happening. If there wasn't so much overlapping time, it wouldn't be an issue. The overlapping stretches out the book and the action to the point where it gets boring when we have to live through the same scene all over again.

I have noticed from these 2 books so far, that this author likes the word dejected. It is used a lot in book 1 and a few times in book 2. A thesaurus would be great, here.

The cliffhanger was not as unexpected as the last one, but still enough to keep me going. I am slowing down, though, because there isn't a whole lot happening. The plot is murky, at best.

I do still like this series, so I am still at a point where I would recommend it to others.
Now, on to book 3.

They-Will-Burn
I look forward to Montana Fyre’s dedication with each new book. “For those who could take or leave the hero, but wants to be railed by the villain 100% of the time.” This dedication was an insight of what to expect in They-Will-Burn. After the last book, In-The-Shadows, ended with a cliff hanger, I was eager to jump into this book. The short wait between the books did not disappoint, and I finished this book in a day. There is no cliff hanger at the end of this book, more like a bomb drop.
Cami is a lioness in lamb’s clothing and isn’t the type to wait to be rescued. If need be, she will rescue herself, that is if the four men in her life ever give her the chance. The scene with Cami wielding the cattle prod as Kaos and Kovu stand back, and watch shows the queen Cami was raised to be.
More is revealed about Bianca and her time with Crew, Kaos, Kovu, and Bishop. I understand why Kaos treated Cami the way he did in the beginning, it is easier to keep someone at arm’s length, but I don’t agree with some of the choices he made.
The spice level in this book is just WOW! Knife and blood play, denied release, and… Four powerful alpha males and a queen learning what she is capable of makes for a fantastic read.

They Will Burn is book two in the Syndicate Of The Legion series. Picks up from the end of book one’s betrayal from one of their own.
Kaos, Kovu, Bishop and Daddy Crew fight to get back Camilla.

Camilla really is a queen not a princess for her age and upbringing she is tough and resilient but with the guys she can drop her mask and be soft and vulnerable as well.

“𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘸𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘳𝘶𝘭𝘦𝘴, 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯.. 𝘌𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘷𝘶𝘭𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦..”

I love that each of the guys have a distinct personality make them each yummy in their own way but Kovu is just a little bit more unhinged making him my first pick. The spice in the book is spicing and on point with the plot. That ending what a shocking surprise.. At least we don’t have long to wait for book three.

A great series so far for anyone who loves the whychoose and love unhinged men with kinks who are the only ones that can hurt her in a Mafia criminal underworld setting.

First off thank you so much to Montana Fyre and The Next Step PR team for this arc!! I finished reading it this week and absolutely loved it!!

I sped through this book, just needing to know what happened next. I didn't even realise I had hit the end until the acknowledgements page came up. Warning massive cliffhanger I am dying for the next one, thank goodness for Montana Fyre's quick releases!!

I love Cami, our fmc so much, she is such a badass and I can't wait to see how she deals with everything that happens next. I love the found family trope and Montana Fyre has written it so well within this book. I love Kaos, Kovu, Bishop, Crew and Cami and could read about their dynamic forever. I'm super excited to see where Montana takes them next and how the spice will evolve!! If the characters themselves aren't enough to hold your attention then the plot certainly will. Highly entertaining with lots of twists and turns I have no idea what is going to happen next.

If you love mafia, why choose romance, morally gray mmcs, forced proximity and found family, I highly recommend!!

Read at your own risk … this will probably contain spoilers.

Nooooooooooo …. I cannot believe you did it again. There I was thinking I had another 20 pages left … and bam you smack me in the face with a cliff hanger. I did not see that coming … I knew he was someone … but HIM!!!

Wow, this is Book 2 in the Syndicate of the Legion series… it is a page turner .. you will become obsessed .. this consumed my life and I could not put it down.

Montana left us on a cliff hanger for Book 1, so I foolishly considered I was safe this time around…. But NO she got me good again. I am so in love with Camilla and how she has grown, and the all consuming love that she has for her men. She is going to be an EPIC Mafia Queen.

These men are everything, obsessive, possessive, determined, brutal, desperate and damn fine specimens of the male variety (yes I did just objectify them), and I love every single line in this book. I am so angry with myself that I consumed this so fast that I didn’t highlight any notes, there are so many absolute perfect moments here.

Absolutely loved this action packed, thrill a minute, unputdownable read. I am so desperate for Book 3 I am not sure that I can cope.

STOP! Go read the first book then enter at own risk.

Another incredible book in the syndicate series with the spice ramped up and the plot thickening, this second book does not disappoint!
Told in multiple POV, you will be giggling one minute and on the edge of your seat the next!!!!!!!

Camilla handles her own in this one showing not only her self but her four brooding, psychotic men and the world that she was born to be a queen!

After the ending from the last book we find out why Kaos handed her over and watch the fight that wars within him after! We get to see his feelings hit him full force in a more bloody way!

Bishop shows Cami exactly what happens when she disobeys and takes his car (cold shower is needed as montana ramps up the spice level in this)

Kovu gives in and stops pushing away feelings and shows us his lighter and joker side.

Crew gets to watch the dynamics change while also trying to keep the peace and stick to the rules.. but his story takes some very hard hits this time that will leave you on the edge of your seat!

And in true Montana form the cliff hanger is the worst of all as the ending will have you in a hurry to grab the next book!!

This is the 2nd story in the Syndicate of the Legion Series oh my do we discover who and why Camilla was betrayed by. When Camilla wakes to realize her new reality she knows she has to stay on her toes to survive the fight of her life against Charles one mean power hungry devil. Camilla tries to remain strong but soon learns the devil will do what he wants to her with no regard to her well being or life. When Kaos, Bishop and Crew do what they can to bring their Queen home Kaos struggles creating a shift between the guys. All bets are off and anyone who gets in their way of finding Camilla will not like the outcome. When the thought of how their emotions can make you weak is tested in this journey. Each dangerous alpha man finds what they need to be human again with Camilla and even at her young age she’s able to provide her mind, heart and soul with the knowledge they will protect her to the end. With this story ending in a cliffhanger we need to wait for the fallout given to us.

This one kept my attention all the way! I struggled to pull away from it!

The book started where the previous left off. She was rescued about 30% in. Charles made her dance in front of some men but other than that he wasn’t really that bad.

I was annoyed that Kaos didn’t apologize for kidnapping her. He straight up drugged her and left her with Charles and when she came back she just jumped into bed with him and his “apology” was him stabbing himself in the stomach with a knife (then he fucked her with the handle of the same knife). Idk, something about it rubbed me the wrong way. I get he cares for her but they should have talked about it.

She tries to leave in the middle of the night to meet someone at the docs all by herself. Really? She has how many people trying to kill her and she is going to go without a bodyguard somewhere in the middle of the night? So dumb. Crew goes without her and of course it’s a trap and they both end up getting shot.

I’m moving forward with book 3, but I seriously hope they talk to each other a little more and stop making dumb decisions.

I loved the first book in this series, and this one was somehow even better… the FMC, Camilla, really came into her own in this book, taking control of her life and transforming into a strong, independent, badass boss. This was especially welcome to see when she is also balancing new relationships with four very alpha males who could easily cause her to submit and fade into the background of their own stories, but Cami carried herself.

The author did a wonderful job at balancing both the different relationships between the FMC and the four MMCs, as well as building multiple different plot points for each character so that something different but related was happening from each POV.

I don’t want to give away any major plot points, but I will say that this book had even more action, plot twists, and shocking moments than the first in the series, and was definitely spicier! It also ends on yet another stunning cliffhanger that has me itching for the third book.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This is the second book in the Syndicate of the Legion Series. You need to have read the first book in the series, In the Shadows before diving into this book.
This book picks up right where we left off in In The Shadows. I don't even know that I can say to much about his story and not give something away. That's so hard because I could go on and on and on about it. I loved the first book but this one is even more amazing. I loved being back with Camilla and the guys. I am loving the strength and growth we are getting from Camilla. She is such a strong characters and I am loving every second of reading her story. The guys are the guys and they are still possessive of her and treat her like a queen. You are going to fall in love with every single one of them. I could never pick which one of them I liked the most. All I have to say is Camilla is one lucky woman.

first off wow was book two steamy in the middle. absolutely loved those scenes. in the beginning of this book i was on the edge of my seat seeing camilla be handed off to a nightmare of a man and having to go into survival mode while not giving up. man the regret kaos feels makes it worth it though and the fists from kovu & bishop too. good boys. we really see camilla start to grow into her roll as a mafia queen in this book, going face to face with the older leaders of the families to take her place as the head of her own. now for the mysterious man though, i had some guesses for who he was and man were my guesses way off, or so they seem to be by that cliff hanger reveal (which i wont say what was). man book 3 is gonna be wild and i have so SO many questions now. like that guys motives???

The, literal, freaking moment you think you have things sort of figured out, Montana sure throws a freaking curveball. If I thought the cliffy at the end of book one was emotionally exhausting, the cliffhanger at the end of book two has my jaw on the literal floor.

I am obsessed with this series so far, each book as been incredible. In the first we got to know the group, but in this one the connections are strengthened, and even tested after a fierce betrayal. Camila comes ahead so much stronger, and is most definitely showing the world the queen she is! I was in awe of her confidence and resilience. I just kept chanting “you go girl!” through the duration of this book.

And, don’t even get me started on Daddy Crew… he is slowly becoming my favorite. Ugh, that man. The guys are working to gain her trust again, which is not an easy feat for them. Each of their relationships is tested, but as group they come out stronger. It is incredible to see the growth in their individual relationships with Camilla and the one they have as a whole unit.

I’m chopping at the bit for book three, From the Ashes! Luckily, we don’t have to wait too long for it. Thank you so much Montana and Next Step PR for the early copy! Don’t mind me, just counting down the days

Okay, I am going to start this review off by saying that Kaos redeemed himself…but I am still mad at him for what he did.

Now for Miss Camilla!!! This girl is a bad a** b****, and I genuinely love that about her. I loved how strong we learned Camilla was in this book and truly cannot wait for her to grow even more in the upcoming book.

I also love that we learned more about why Kaos is closed off and that one scene in the kitchen!!!! Camilla and Kaos are going to be so much fun together. I can’t wait to see them grow even more.

I’m excited to see more of Camilla in the role her father raised her to be and for her and the boys to grow together as leaders and in their relationship.

But once again, it always goes back to these cliffhangers…I love them but also kind of hate them, lol.

This is the second part of this incredible series, and my word, this gifted author has done a fantastic job in weaving this tale.
Camilla is resilient, feisty, and strong character, and her men, Crew, Kaos, Bishop, and Kovu, who are possessive, obsessed, and protective, and they have met their match with Cami.
This is a well written story which is an emotional roller coaster, with found family, drama, suspense, danger, intrigue, betrayal, why choose, morally grey, tension, heartbreak, and love, which leads to an entertaining, unpredictable, twisted, and spicy, thrilling addictive page turner, which ends in a whammy of a cliffhanger, and I cannot wait to read the next book.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
