A bloody awesome read, Funny, Interesting and so easy to get into. I felt the cold in my bones when reading chapters about those cold nights in the NZ south island bush. Some real talk about real world issues too, brilliant. 👌

Would give 3.5 stars if possible. A great story, a hilarious insight into the workings of the NZDF that feels as though it's laughter for 80% of the book then fades out. A recommended read nonetheless.

Dario Nustrini’s easy and unpretentious narrative style made this book something of a page-turner for me, and if you’ve ever done time in the NZDF (particularly so the Army) you will find his stories instantly relatable.

Really neat to read. Good to read what my mates went through in the Army. I still remember my flatmate parking his unimob in our garage well the front of it .
