The paleo, or primal diet: that which mimics the diet our forebears ate for 2 and 1/2 million years, is the diet (in the Greek diet means "manner of living") that we are programmed genetically to follow. Grass fed meats, vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds are our bodies preferred fuels.

Grains, industrial seed oils, and sugars are NOT part of our genetic heritage! Grains have been with us for about 10000 years, at most. We have not adapted!
Industrial foods are even more recent-we are REALLY suffering with them in our diets!
