Accused of plagiarizing the script he has written for a potentially big TV series, Byron Saldinger soon finds himself the prime suspect in a murder investigation when his accuser turns up dead. 20,000 first printing. $15,000 ad/promo.
A rather obscure who-done-it from some time ago that I stumbled on - it looked like it would be an easy, quick good read and it was. At the crux of the story was a book-to-movie script written by the protagonist, a dead man who had made a plagiarism accusation, and all the Hollywood stereotypes for peripheral characters. Nice change of pace.
Shooting Script, Gordon Cotler, RDC-M #3-93, 11/12. A man writes a script, someone else takes credit for it then turns up dead. Now the 1st man is the suspect. Okay.
