Cartel Kings #4

Disciplined: His Forbidden Crush

Rate this book
I want him. I can't have him. And if my father finds out, it's game over.

I should have known better than to think I was free of the cartel. I should have known my father would send someone after me.

But I would never have guessed it would be him—my first crush, the man who made me want men.

Fresh out of prison, though, he's changed. There's a darkness in him I never saw when I was younger. And it only makes him hotter. Now he's got me locked up in my own apartment, and he says I'm going to learn to behave.

Well, maybe I'll teach him something, too.

DISCIPLINED brings together a stubborn twink and a rough dominant in a high heat, dark MM crime romance with a HEA and no cliffhanger. This novel is #4 in the Cartel Kings Series, but can be read as a standalone.

❝ He was being claimed by the man who had daunted his dreams for years. He couldn't help pushing his ass up, widening his thighs to invite Rafael deeper into him. The sensation of being filled by his childhood crush was more than he could have ever imagined. ❞

Mama this book gagged me, I fear. To be honest, the first 30% was not getting my full interest but thankfully I was proven wrong. I love the forbidden aspect between Summer and Rafael. I love the drama too in the last chapters too! Very soap opera vibes. This book sired my brain once again to this genre.

GAGGED ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

I don’t think I have enough words to express how this made me feel. 😭😭😭

I loved every bit of it.

Everything about it was just. Muah 😘 .

So refreshing to see Rafael getting the chance to be his true self after so many years of being in the Cartel and having to hide himself. And I’m glad Summer got to also finally be free without losing the love of the family. Loved every bit of this book.

It was worth reading.

This was a major disappointment after the third book (I haven't read the rest of the series yet). The story was flimsy, the characters not super likable, and honestly, I just couldn't condone a lot of what happened. It made me miss the characters from the previous book, but I'm also curious to see what happens with Summer's brother Raul, so....I guess I'll keep reading.

Meh

Not much happened here. Lots of angst, some mild sex and brief tepid interludes of BDSM. Thin plot with a predictable ending. Not as interesting as the previous books in this series. Also it could use some editing for conciseness, grammar and typos.

Oh, this book was so disappointing!
The worst of the series. Summer and Rafael's relationship was shallow and not entirely convincing. Also, I didn't like how Rafael treated Summer at first. Plus, the book was not edited in the right way. Such a waste.

I hope the next book will be better;/.

I don't know if I'm already getting into boredom, but each book is more boring.
And then, let's talk about the resolution of the conflict with the father. The whole fucking book talking about that to eventually come to nothing. A mayor disappointment.
Thank God there's only one book left.

Rafael is the enforcer in the cartel and Verano aka Summer is the son of his boss. A very forbidden crush. The elements of close proximity, punishment , spanking and tons of breathtaking domination. I love it when doms are written with a decent understanding of the power they can wield. Not everything was presented as a bdsm relationship but there were elements done a lot better than some other stories I've read.

Okay I should've reviewed this as soon as I finished. I really enjoyed it.

There's this one scene that I can't get over; its not something I'm usually into at all, like way out of my comfort zone, but the way the author wrote it, described it, omg I cannot get it over it at all.

It was the perfect description of control and dominance.

Yup, will be reading again at some point.
