My parents named me Reimund Gardiner, but the wicked wizard who stole me calls me Rei. Imprisoned in his impenetrable tower, deep inside the wilderness, I've longed for freedom all my life.
But my hope dims with each rise and fall of the moon. Escape, it seems, is impossible. I'm powerless against Gotham's evil magic, forced to weave for the madman daily, using my enchanted hair to enrich his coffers.
He collects my harvest every night at midnight, climbing my hair, and if I don't deliver, the results are dire.
Until one night, a fae prince, not a wizard, greets me by my window. His name is Ziran, a bold adventurer set to inherit the throne. And he’s here to break my chains.
Or, so he says, charming me, claiming to be my fated mate. But can I trust this powerful alpha to slay Gotham and save the day? Or, blinded by love, will believing in Ziran be a fatal mistake?
Imprisoned by the Wizard (Kindred of Celeste Bay) is an M/M omegaverse novella-length reimagining of the fairytale Rapunzel with non-shifter mpreg set in the Atherverse Universe.

I'm so confused. My brain hurts. I don't even know what's going on with the plot... I still tried to push through it bc Mpreg, but the romance sucked so bad. Do the mcs even like each other?
Any alpha I've read wouldn't let his mate be locked in a tower for a month after finding him... In the beginning, he gave the omega half his soul, so he knew he would return... Why would you do that knowing you wouldn't leave the woods now? You could have just left and gotten help? What was he waiting for anyway???
The root the omega had to drink every day. Why? Why would he die without it?
I skimmed the last 60%. I'm glad I wasn't invested. I would have been pissed... Omega thinks Alpha died. runs away.... 7 year separation. 💩 No pregnancy/birthing feels

A sweet m/m Rapunzel fairytale retelling. The story was cute and fast-paced with tropes like; hurt/comfort, alpha/omega, mpreg, virgin MMC, magic beings, fated mates, and evil wizards.
Rapunzel fairytale retelling with a twist. Tags: fairytale retelling, captivating, fated mates, opposites attract, vivid writing, no cliffhanger. This book is a treat for all the fans of fairytales. The familiar story of Rapunzel runs under twists and turns of the tale of fated mates, the fae Elohime Prince Ziran, and the captured and abused Rei, a quarterblood, partly human and partly Elohime. As different as they can be, they are connected with an unbreakable bond of fated mates. Together they conquer the evil magician and all the obstacles to their love and HEA. The base of the plot follows the storyline of the original fairytale yet the characters and turns of events make it an entirely new story. Though short in length, the author gives enough context to the magical, fantasy world and depth to the characters to engage readers’ imagination and capture their attention. Vivid descriptions and an amusing mixture of contemporary human reactions add to the charm of this story. What can you expect? An easy-to-read, captivating, charming, and dynamic tale full of magic, mysterious creatures, fated mates, and love. What you cannot expect: A dark drama with lots of angst and suspense, complex issues and characters, deep emotions, and lasting impressions. Disclaimer: I firmly believe that for every book written, there is a reader who will appreciate and enjoy it. This review reflects my personal and subjective opinion and should be read as such. I received an ARC of this book. Regardless, this review is an independent and genuine reflection of my thoughts.
To me, this story was a bit confusing. The summary made it seem like it would go in a different direction. But, that could have just been me.
The execution of the story left a lot to be desired. This book needed to be edited with a fine tooth comb, because there were a good amount of errors.
Overall for me, the book was disappointing. I give a lot of grace when reading, but the story seemed disjointed and the repetitions took me right out of the story. There was so much potential. I guess I just expected it to be more exciting and for the wizard to be more interesting.
So I don't know if I'm confused because I've never read rapunzel. I felt like this could have been a really good book but there was so many confusing aspects that I got lost a lot. I was excited to read it because it's an MPEG and that's one of my favorite kind of books. I think with some serious editing and reshaping this could be an amazing book.

Rei is held captive by an evil wizard. The wizard needs Rai's hair for its magic. Ziran is sent by his father the king to kill the evil wizard and whoever is helping him. When he meets Rai he knows he's his fated mate and will do whatever to keep him safe. They love each other but is that enough. I really enjoyed this book.
This was a difficult book to read, because it was confusing. I got whiplash from how the story is told. Descriptions of certain things would change as the story progressed. The actions and thoughts of the main characters made little sense. Mpreg.
This book is essentially a same sex male love addition of either Rapunzel or tangled. There is one thing that does not quite make sense to me though. How exactly does a male give birth to twins?
