ADHD and Sex

- This is a fantastic book, I loved it. ADHD and sex, two of my favorite things, add a workbook onto it, even better
- This is a comprehensive book: enjoyment, likes and dislikes, trauma, solo and partnered sex, boundaries, sexual history, insecurity, ADHD, mental health, abuse, your behavior, their behavior, and a whole lot more
- This book is thoroughly researched and scientifically backed. The resources section at the end of each chapter is great. Fantastic appendix of additional resources. There are a few chapters where she admits that there is limited research, I respect the transparency
- Workbooks force me to pay attention and put words into action. This book is constantly asking you to reflect on your behavior and experience, be introspective and dive deep. It asks uncomfortable questions but always with safety.
- The penultimate chapter is about abuse and trauma. It handles this subject expertly. It supports survivors and victims. It gets the reader to write out their red flags, boundaries, support systems, and protections. It has the reader write out their definition of safety, security, and respect

- I think the book does not always do a great job of supporting people in having difficult conversations. It will say, communicate your needs, without walking the reader through this potentially incredibly difficult and scary process
- It does not dive deep into queer or trans relationships but never discounts them. Other books admit that their research was conducted only on heterosexual couples (larger sample size). This book is inclusive and sometimes feels neutral

- This is a book for individuals and couples. It is for those that have no sexual experience or Olympic athlete levels. For those new to ADHD or have professional levels of knowledge
- I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in ADHD | neurodivergence and sex
