Playing for Real is the third instalment of the Wearside series by Ellie White and for someone who isn't into sports.. I am loving these sport romances!!
We have met both Aaron and Brooke in the previous books so it was lovely to read their story. Best friends who sign up to fake date - SAY LESS 😍 This was both spicy and sweet and the bond that these two had from childhood was so lovely!
Though each book in this series focuses on different characters, I would definitely recommend reading them in order - Playing for You (prequel novella), Playing for Her then Playing for Real - as you get to know the characters mentioned in the other books. There is also 2 more books coming this year in this series so definitely start now and read in order. And they're on KU if you have it.

Oh my....this was just perfect! I bloody love this world that Ellie has created.
I was rooting for both Aaron and Brooke. They love, care, chemistry ans past they share set them up for an amazing relationship!
They were literally perfect for eachother. Until it all blew up!
My heart hurt for both of them. It's not often i read a book in a day bit this was such a great read that I devoured it!

Ellie White is a phenomenal author and she has truly outdone herself with this swoonworthy friends to lovers romance. Playing For Real is about footballers and best friends Brooke Davison and Aaron Milburn. After a scandal, Aaron suggests that they fake date to restore his image. I absolutely adored this book and I can't wait to see what else Ellie White has in store for us!

Yet another sweet and sexy read from Ellie 💕
It didn't take long until I was smiling like a Cheshire Cat reading about Brooke & Aaron. I loved them instantly and their chemistry was off the scale. Their friendship is adorable too, I definitely have a thing for friends to lovers. It reminded me of The Cheat Sheet at times (one of my favourite books)!
This book gave me so many butterflies and smiles I didn't want to put it down. Would have finished it much sooner if I didn't need to adult🤭💕
