this book was pure fun, finished it in less than a day!! I do have to mention some flaws in it though; like repetitive phrases and words, *ahem, lifting hands in surrender* and a bunch of others. And some parts were a little boring.
BUT I GIGGLED AND BLUSHED MY WAY THRU THIS BOOK and it would feel like a betrayal to my 3am giggly self if I rate it anything lower than 5 lmaooooooo
so yeah definitely could be better I guess but honestly vibes above all else LOLLLL<3<3<3

diving straight into this one after finishing the first book was a good choice methinks... i actually was able to remember the details of the plot and characters that were in book 1! maybe i should attempt to do this more often... aka read series as they're supposed to be read. in succession. but we'll see 🤞

something about the timeline is a lil off for me... and i'm only just noticing it in the second book, but we're almost 1k pages into this series and it feels like it's only been a couple weeks... not to mention we have no shortage of freaky scenes in this one.
but in terms of the plotline for this book, we pick up right where we left off in the first one, and while it's a little slower in the first 50% or so, it really ramps up towards the end - i will admit my jaw dropped several times! especially with that last reveal omg.

learning that little bit more about her childhood in this book was super interesting, and i can't wait to pick up where that cliffhanger left off omg... i'm still in shock lowkey!! i seriously didn't see that one coming. i probably should've though, but i think i'm just super unobservant LOL

sadly cassian took a bit of a backseat in this book, which is a little upsetting cuz he was mostly a cutie patootie in book 1. he lowkey blended in with the other love interests this time, which was a tad annoying. they could definitely have used a bit more definition, but still! i enjoyed the cassian crumbs we got in this book.

Like holy fuck. I'm still reeling this morning.
I like how things went down. This is the kind of plot I can fully get behind because it's fun, and makes you feel without feeling like you've been run over by an 18 wheeler. *cough, cough* ZA *cough, cough*
I love Adrianna. I'm so glad I keep finding badass fmc that actually have a backbone and continue to have that backbone. If there's one thing that kills my vibe, it's when the fmc rolls over after she's gotten her men and becomes almost subservient to them. Like no, other way around. And that's who Adrianna is. She has these men crawling for her. 💋💋💋 that's how I feel.
I hope this series keeps up this momentum. I did take away .5 because there wasn't much explanation about something I'm not sure they're going to touch back on, but we'll see. High hopes for this series.

After coming off the high of loving the first book, sad to say book two fell flat for me 😥🙈🙈
Nothing really progresses until the cliffhanger. 🤷 Not for the plot, relationships or character growth. Things happen while it all feels stagnant
Addie's sass got grating when she's constantly prickly to the guys for no discernable reason other than they're a distraction she can't afford. It also felt conflicting for her to exude eff off bad bish energy so hard when it seems like she'd be trying to forge allies.
Cassian is either ignoring her or snapping at her, while she happily ignores him - outside of tearing each other's clothes off. I wanted to understand where his head was at but don't really get it, even with his POV.
Raiden got more page time, which I did enjoy, though it left me wanting more of a growth and asshole redemption arc for him, not just "oh he's decided to be helpful or want her now".
I really enjoy this author and the premise for this series, so I will stick to it 🤞🤞 the rest of the series brings back the magic

This was pretty good, read through it very quickly again. The plot progressed a lot more and we got more information. Each character was even more developed from the last book. The ending was pretty good with a big cliff hanger. I expect more out of the next book, so I am excited.

DNF. as soon as fmc started fucking cassian THE DAY AFTER her secret was revealed and she found our cassians father was the one who fucked up her family SHE DECIDES TO FUCK HIM. im all for the romeo and juliet act BUT NOT WHEN ROMEO IS AN ASSHOLE AND CANT APOLOGIZE FOR SHIT. skipped to the end to see what the cliffhanger would be and im ngl it made me want to read book3 but idt i can handle the main characters anymore theyre so predictable and horny it aches me to continue reading

Well Addi’s identity is out the bag now and it’s interesting to see how different factions react to her 😳 I mean Vallie and the vamps are always going to be barstools but Raiden might actually be realising there’s more to our leading lady than he first thought ☺️ although he’s making an absolute nuisance of himself whilst doing it! Brody is his usual charismatic self, willing to do anything to help and get what he wants 🙄 Kryll is turning into a bit of a wild card, you definitely get the sense he’s falling for Princess but there’s something holding him back 🙈 and then there’s our wolf who honestly needs something 👊👊 it doesn’t help that is dad is an instigator is holding something significant over Addi!! You get some sweet moments throughout this book of our FMC building connections with these four but also moments of thinking are they even on her side….?? Strong level of intrigue! Addi had her work cut out making a name for herself as a serious contender whilst also fighting of attacks coming from all over the place…and it certainly appears those in charge have a hidden agenda 😬😬 can’t wait for the next one!

You see this had SOOOOO much potential and I usually don’t DNF many series as I plan to stick through with them till the end. However, at a certain point - I couldn’t do this anymore.
First, what the hell where is the plot going. I honestly do not know where the plot is going. We’re literally going in circles ever since the end of the first book. The antagonists here are way too extremely EXTREMELY insufferable. Also, why did this plot point of making her weak have to exist? She already lives in a world where everything is against her and everyone hates her and everybody and their moms want to fight her and we have to add another plot point to make her weak? What in the world…
The thing is she’s the heroine so I get having things against her, but it’s LITERALLY everything. There’s so many things I have to say.
Second, we’re only halfway in the second book and almost three - THREE of the guys have her? What? What am I going to read for the rest of the THREE OTHER BOOKS? Most of the things they do here is have sexy time instead of talking and I’m not too sure that’s going to change a lot in the future.
I’m going to stop counting my complaints LOL but I hate Cassian. His reaction to hearing that Addi was tortured and almost killed by his father was to get angry at the fact that she lied to them. Help me please? What reaction is that? And the fact that she had sex with him RIGHT AFTER HEARING THAT THIS GUY’S FATHER IS THE ONE THAT RUINED YOU AND YOUR SISTER’S LIVES. Is this right? I’m really confused if this is a normal thing in fantasy series, but I genuinely cannot do it. I don’t understand why Cassian keeps listening to his dad’s beck and call every single time. I don’t get the plot anymore.
What really got to me is the part where I’m at currently. So Cassian’s dad is telling him to bring Addi to their turf so she can challenge against 5 people that his dad will pick, and if she wins I think she can have him or something like that. The fact that Cassian is considering this knowing the state she’s in right now. Literally please tell me the plot right now. Addi, is this really your man? Girl. That is an enemy and he’s BEEN an enemy since the start. Even when the first duel happened and he just watched it happen and didn’t say anything to help her out and then later on gets mad when Addi just wants to forfeit because she doesn’t GAF about winning him? You’re telling me he has the audacity to get angry at that? And Addi still has sex with him? What? His character is just a mess and it’s unredeemable to me. Now that we’re on this point, why the fuck did Brody actually bring her to that restaurant? Is he an actual idiot? Are these guys literally stupid?
Brody is also ehhh. Nothing special about him that really caught my eye. I was really shocked when Addi gave in to him though like after what he just put you through? OH. That part where she’s trying to save that human from Vallie and she asks for help from a mage and he doesn’t get up but she says a speech and then eventually he helps. So he wasn’t originally going to help but I swear in this book, Brody says something along the lines of “oh i’ve always wanted to help people.” HUHHHHHH? How can this character say he’s wants to help/save people but didn’t stand up to when some random poor girl was being obliterated.
Raiden is also ehhhhhh. Big asshole in the first book and he’s starting to be better and be more likeable, but everyone else is ruining this character development for me.
Kryll, I fuck with. I was very excited to see how they’d get together but I’m sorry Kryll, I can’t bear to witness this anymore LMAO. I like him lots though, my favourite is always the quiet ones.
Potential was INSANE on this like I enjoyed it a lot and I was so excited to reach the end of the book and do a comprehensive review and breakdown… Unfortunately, the second book has done did it for me. Maybe one day I’ll revisit this again but for now I have to let her go :’).

Second, we’re only halfway in the second book and almost three - THREE of the guys have her? What? What am I going to read for the rest of the THREE OTHER BOOKS? Most of the things they do here is have sexy time instead of talking and I’m not too sure that’s going to change a lot in the future.
I’m going to stop counting my complaints LOL but I hate Cassian. His reaction to hearing that Addi was tortured and almost killed by his father was to get angry at the fact that she lied to them. Help me please? What reaction is that? And the fact that she had sex with him RIGHT AFTER HEARING THAT THIS GUY’S FATHER IS THE ONE THAT RUINED YOU AND YOUR SISTER’S LIVES. Is this right? I’m really confused if this is a normal thing in fantasy series, but I genuinely cannot do it. I don’t understand why Cassian keeps listening to his dad’s beck and call every single time. I don’t get the plot anymore.
What really got to me is the part where I’m at currently. So Cassian’s dad is telling him to bring Addi to their turf so she can challenge against 5 people that his dad will pick, and if she wins I think she can have him or something like that. The fact that Cassian is considering this knowing the state she’s in right now. Literally please tell me the plot right now. Addi, is this really your man? Girl. That is an enemy and he’s BEEN an enemy since the start. Even when the first duel happened and he just watched it happen and didn’t say anything to help her out and then later on gets mad when Addi just wants to forfeit because she doesn’t GAF about winning him? You’re telling me he has the audacity to get angry at that? And Addi still has sex with him? What? His character is just a mess and it’s unredeemable to me. Now that we’re on this point, why the fuck did Brody actually bring her to that restaurant? Is he an actual idiot? Are these guys literally stupid?
Brody is also ehhh. Nothing special about him that really caught my eye. I was really shocked when Addi gave in to him though like after what he just put you through? OH. That part where she’s trying to save that human from Vallie and she asks for help from a mage and he doesn’t get up but she says a speech and then eventually he helps. So he wasn’t originally going to help but I swear in this book, Brody says something along the lines of “oh i’ve always wanted to help people.” HUHHHHHH? How can this character say he’s wants to help/save people but didn’t stand up to when some random poor girl was being obliterated.
Raiden is also ehhhhhh. Big asshole in the first book and he’s starting to be better and be more likeable, but everyone else is ruining this character development for me.
Kryll, I fuck with. I was very excited to see how they’d get together but I’m sorry Kryll, I can’t bear to witness this anymore LMAO. I like him lots though, my favourite is always the quiet ones.
Potential was INSANE on this like I enjoyed it a lot and I was so excited to reach the end of the book and do a comprehensive review and breakdown… Unfortunately, the second book has done did it for me. Maybe one day I’ll revisit this again but for now I have to let her go :’).

I was very interested and excited about this series after reading the first book, but unfortunately, this continuation did not do it for me. :/
It didn't seem like anything was happening in this book. I was hoping to see some more character development and some stronger connections with our mains, but I didn't. Sadly, this didn't progress to the potential I had hoped for.

I would say i liked it just becuase of a feeling I had from reading this and the slight memories I have of the characters but if I'm being honest I don't remember a single thing that happened in the book other than her bitching and the ending being expected.

Miss K.C. Kean… WHY are you doing this to us? I swear these cliffhangers should be illegal. I finished this book and immediately felt that feral panic of “where is the next one and why isn’t it in my hands right now?”
This sequel surprised me in the best way. It’s somehow darker, funnier, AND more emotional than book one. The worldbuilding leveled up, the politics got juicier, and the character dynamics… chefs kiss. I like plots that keep moving, that don’t drag, and this one did exactly that. It’s dramatic without feeling exhausting something dark academy series struggle with a lot.
Adrianna absolutely carries. I love a female lead who has a spine and refuses to lose it just because a group of powerful men suddenly decides she’s theirs. She’s stubborn, chaotic, angry, vulnerable, and terrifying in the most addictive way. No rolling over, no sudden personality switch, she stays HER, and they orbit her like she’s gravity. Respectfully.

The Savage Six are getting more unhinged, more obsessed, and more interconnected with Adrianna… and honestly I’m here for every second of it.

Yep it's happened again a diffuser you fool yourself into thinking the and author won't do it again then they do plus it makes you screech & you forget your in bed reading & the hubby asleep and he's not at all amused the house isn't on fire it's because of a book you screeched like demons were coming through themselves but that said he's not a reader so doesn't get it .Addicted goes from got sex to drama over & over but each time she thinks she's getting a break the world gangs up on her .parents who are their children as bargaining chips to pursue their own power grab is another issue .I really hope book 3 is out

i like the way the plot progressed in this one and the character development for addi and the men. it is just a good time if a little repetitive at times (*cough* cassian needs to broaden his moves just a bit).
I WANT MORE OF KRYLL. raiden got some character development finally. brody is now dubbed the malewife of the group. cassian pisses me off (but he calls her alpha so i forgive him slightly).

It was alright for me but the constant use of the word drama or badass is annoying. Another issue i had was how we are stuck in this loop with every character where it’s like it feels they are growing and developing but then just fall flat. I wanted an easy read so this was good for that. I also find it hard to read books where smutt feels like it’s the main thing which is a me problem i guess.

Wow this book has so many plot twists and an epic cliffhanger. Slowly these guys are getting under my skin in the best way possible. Once you get to the almost end things start making sense. I can’t wait for book 3! These 5 characters are everything!
