The First King, Book 1 of The Anointed series, is gripping historical fiction inspired by the Bible. Even for readers unfamiliar with certain biblical stories as I am ,the book presents these tales in an interesting and accessible manner. Despite its 400-page length, it's an engaging, interesting, and must-read book.
I really liked how the author captivates readers with a narrative that feels very realistic, without any superficial embellishment. Each chapter has a title, which clearly informs readers of the subject matter, and this structure is truly helpful while reading. The characters are well-researched within their historical context, and the stories possess significant depth.
