Atlantean's Quest - Exodus By Jordan Summers Book 2 in the Atlantean's Quest series PistolsÂ… Check KnifeÂ… Check Bug sprayÂ… Check Jac was prepared for everything a sultry jungle could throw at her. Everything but an encounter with a dark-haired, jade-eyed Adonis named Ares. Nothing on the planet could have prepared her for him... Hunter becomes hunted as two strong wills collide. In a game of domination there can be only one winner.
Jordan Summers is an ex-flight attendant with a penchant for huge bookstores and big, dumb action movies. She prefers quite dinners with friends over maddening crowds. Happily married to her very own Highlander, she splits her time with her husband between two continents.
Don't understand why they have to play so many games especially regarding love. While jealousy does have its benefits but play it too often then that can be their downfall in being with their true love. When I fall in love I would never play the jealousy game as it is too damaging. If that happened I would pack up and leave. No pointing in wasting time in these games when it's obviously they are not the 1 for me.
DNF at 59% I read the first book and wasn't that impressed to be honest. It was alright, nothing crazy special about it, however, I thought that maybe the second book would be better. I was wrong. I wasn't a fan at all.
I'm not even sure what I didn't like about it. I wish I could list you reasons why I'm not finishing the book but I can't put it into words. I just felt no connection between me and the characters or the plot. I felt bored throughout the whole thing. At first I thought maybe I'm just in a weird mood right now so I'd put the book down and pick it up a little later and nope, still bored.
This just wasn't my cup of tea even though I really wanted it to be because I've never read a book that was about Atlantis before. Based on the first book and this book I don't see myself reading anything more from this author. That might sound harsh, but I just didn't feel a connection between me and her writing and that's something I look for.
Hopefully, you guys had a better experience with her books and this series though! If you did lemme know what you liked about it!
Really enjoyed this book. Loved the chemistry between Jac and Ares. Enjoyed the reality Ms. Summers threw when Jac comes to the village and must choose between her life in New York or a life with Ares. Only hitch was the Red Devil still lived on to torment characters in future books.
