He’s an alien dragon shifter hell bent on revenge. Until I’m caught up in his claws. Now all he wants…is me.
Station X42 is a complete dump and I’m stranded on it for what is likely to be the rest of my very short existence. Left here by alien abductors who bit off more than they could chew when they took me, I have to scratch a living with the scum of the galaxy.
When it looks like I might have finally hacked off the wrong species resulting in my early demise, an enormous alien dragon shifter, Drelix, bursts into my life. All seven foot plus of scales, muscles, fangs and claws. Oh, and a tail, can’t forget the tail.
Having stolen me away to an uninhabited moon, he proceeds to heal my injuries with his venomous bite, I consent to it, only to find in his world, being bitten by a Sarkarnii means I’m now sort of married to him.
This is not how I imagined my space Tuesday to work out.
I don’t want to admit my new alien husband does things to my insides which should be illegal, or that his kisses set me alight in all new ways. After what happened to me when I was taken from Earth, I can’t bear the thought of any intimacy.
But Drelix has other ideas, very, very naughty ones too. However, I’m fully prepared to resist him, right up to the point he tells me…
“I eat troublesome females, whole.”
Well, damn. Looks like I’m going to have to up my resistance game, or lose myself to him entirely.
Drelix is the sixth book in the Fated Mates of the Sarkarnii series by USA TODAY Bestselling Author Hattie Jacks. Featuring one smoking hot alien dragon shifter, one sassy abducted human female, only one spaceship, growling, claiming, fated mates and so much spice...You'll be taken to the stars and back in this delicious alien romance.
Welp, this book did not go in the direction I thought it would. Drelix was much like the other Sarkarnii in his world views and behaviors, but added some deception into the mix, which was a nice change of pace. Crystal was as fierce as most of the other humans and a surprise addition to the mix. They both fell hard and fast for one another, which is expected at this point. It was fun to step into another part of the galaxy and see some familiar species from the sister series to this one. This wrapped up the Sarkarnii series well. (At least I’m assuming it’s the last one? I could be wrong LOL)
Spice: 4/5

I hate a hanging character. So I thought this was going to be Jade's book and I was thoroughly disappointed. Throw the series you see this group of women each getting paired off with the mate. So naturally you think that the last remaining woman would get her story told. Spoiler alert. I am a jade enthusiast. I was very intrigued by what makes her so resistant to mating and I was also intrigued by her personality intellect and the way she's able to control her emotions. It was such a disappointment to know that she was tossed to the side. I hope that a book it does come out with her as the main character now getting to this book. Initially once I found out that Jade wasn't going to be our heroin, I felt really disappointed with Crystal. She had a lot of similar elements to Ruby and her background was pretty unclear with only one small hint of her growing up in the mob. Her trauma was also very unclear it hinted to SA But in true Hattie Jack's fashion, they were only nuggets put in big enough to make you wonder what happened, but they don't really affect the characters in any significant way. I think that Hattie Jacks largest weakness is the character's interpersonal growth and development. All of her female heroines are the same person from start to finish. There's absolutely no growth on their part, whereas the males there will be some growth, but I wouldn't really call it this story like the others in the series is mostly action, insta love, and lots of dragon banging. This isn't a story you read for the plot or emotional tension. This is a story you read purely for surface level enjoyment. For what it was it was. And it hit that alien itch. I had to read some sci- romance, but the overall plot throughout the series has a lot of holes in it and none of the relationships felt like they were developed from a truly intimate place. Everything was kind of based around this mating instinct, which can be fun, but when you try to introduce trauma into characters yet give them no way to face or heal those traumas and then thrust them into a love situation it can start to turn problematic and unrealistic. I wish we had more time to really dig into what a Haisakarnni was and what makes them so different from traditional sakarnni. I feel like this was something that should have been explored more deeply. It was very interesting but also remained elusive and vague throughout the entire story. I still feel confused. The most I can give you is that one of the dragons has three heads and the other one has one and the dragon with three heads also has venom which again is quite vague. So here is my solid three-star rating for under development of interpersonal growth of characters, plots, concepts and themes throughout the novel and series.
3.5 - 4 stars Imagine waking up in your own personal hell. Not knowing where you are or how you got there. Fighting to survive. This sci fi romance has lots of action monsters and fated mates. But it is all they can do to survive in a prison full of terror. The story is not overly long but it is entertaining enough to escape for a few hours.
While I did enjoy this series, I’m so baffled as to how you have a series with no diversity lol. No Asian,Black,Latina as there are more races in England/UK than white.
🔥 “You are mine, Crystal, and I am going to devour you.” ~~~ Crystal is incredible! She’s strong, brave and resilient. And she’s so fierce and fun! Her life hasn’t been easy even before she was taken from Earth, and afterwards she’s been through so much. But I loved her courage to overcome all the hardships and horrors thrown her way. Even more, she’s not only a survivor but she did whatever was necessary to have a life on an alien space station. Crystal is an amazing and admirable woman and I loved her so, so much!
And then, we have Drelix - the mysterious Sarkarnii, who’s taken a vow of silence! And he’s not just any Sarkarnii warrior… Nooo, Drelix is a Haisarkarnii! He’s fearsome, dangerous, deadly and filled with so much rage. Even more, he’s determined to do everything in his power to get revenge for losing his family and people. But there is another side of Drelix, too. The growly warrior is also honorable, loyal, fiercely protective, deliciously possessive and dominant and absolutely irresistible. Drelix is an incredible male and I couldn’t help but adore every single thing about him!
I absolutely loved everything that happened between Crystal and Drelix! The Haisarkarnii is on a mission to a run down space station when he saves a human female from danger. I adored those two together! Their chemistry was fantastic right from the start and their banters were an absolute delight to read. Even more, Crystal and Drelix were an awesome team, sticking together through dangers and darkness. Crystal might not be a woman who trusts easily but Drelix proved to her, time and time again, that not all males are the same. And she was absolutely the right person to show the fearsome alien that there’s more to life than just revenge. And when they couldn’t resist the undeniable need for one another, the passionate moments they shared were off-the-charts hot and I couldn’t get enough of all the naughty delight! Drelix and Crystal were so, so, so perfect for each other and, after everything both went through, they more than deserved to find happiness and love together!
In addition, the storyline was phenomenal! Dangerous missions, enemies lurking in the shadows, betrayals, unexpected discoveries and help that came from some unexpected places (ooooh, I was soooo happy to meet some feathery and chaotic friends)... With everything that was happening, I was glued to the pages till the very end, excited to see how everything will be resolved.
Overall, the story is another remarkable addition to the series and a spectacular series finale! It’s filled with adventure, danger, non-stop action, twists, drama, suspense, humor, smoking-hot passion and incredible characters.
I couldn’t put it down and absolutely loved every single page of it!
This series is such a fun read I would do adore having my very own dragon to cuddle up with at night. Drelix has been a silent warrior for all of the previous books he is a special dragon one more powerful than most with a form more brutal than the others. All he wants is revenge for the family he lost when his world was invaded. He's hot on a lead for weapons and information that will bring him o e step closer to his goals when he literally runs into Crystal a human on a broken down spa e station running for her life. Crystal was abducted by aliens and doesn't totally hate it. She was in a lit of trouble on earth when she was taken and treated horribly by those who took and sold her but she still feels she's better off where she is now. She's learned the ins and outs of the station she's trusts barely anyone and can take care if herself for the most part. Betrayed by someone she trusted under duress she's on the run when she falls literally into a dragons hands. When she wakes she has one Hell of a sore body and a horrible wound . and one very very dangerously good looking dragon telling her they are mated and fated to be together. Danger lurks behind every turn they need information to help Drelix she needs a way off the space station and they have to deal with the raging emotions developing fast between them. Its a dollar coaster ride of action, danger and romance. Terrific read and a quick tease the Gryn are returning gladiator style! Well worth the read!🔥💖🔥💖💖🔥🌟🔥💖🌟🔥🌟💖🌟🔥💖💖🔥🌟🔥💖🌟🔥💖🌟💖🔥🌟
The mystery surrounding Drelix, the non-verbal Sarkarnii warrior, is finally revealed! This story had it all - a feisty, just trying to survive, human woman; a huge Sarkarnii warrior struggling with his past, present, and future; evil creatures working all the angles to suit their own goals; and a return of THE GRYN!!! I was totally captivated by these characters and the new worlds Hattie has built for them. The relationship between Drelix and Crystal was steamy and heartwarming at the same time. These Sarkarnii love large and make you want to find one for yourself! Best surprise? The Gryn are coming!! I’m so excited, I don’t know how I will make it until September when their first new book launches! I sincerely hope this is not the end of the Sarkarnii, though!! These big, soft-hearted, dragon men are too yummy to say goodbye to!! I want to know what happens next, and if they ever find other Sarkarnii in the universe. Oh, and what happens with Jade?!? So many interesting questions!
Drelix is book 6 in the Fated Mates of the Sarkarnii series and this is an explosive one!
I recommend starting with Hattie’s Rogue Alien Warriors series and then move on to the Elite Rogue Alien Warriors series (where we first meet our Sarkarnii brothers) then move on to the Fated Mates of the Sarkarnii series. They are all well worth the time for this out of this world and spicy binge read.
Drelix is extraordinary and so different from his Sarkarnii brothers and his adventure takes us in a new direction with a lot of drama, so much excitement, a bit of redemption and some new characters and old favorites.
We meet a new clever and unshakable human female, Crystal, who gives Drelix a run for his money and sticks by his side through the danger they find themselves in. They are an unstoppable pair!
I do hope Hattie plans on more Fated Mates of the Sarkarnii books but I am thrilled to have read she has some surprises for us for a new book involving some of the new characters we met here in Drelix! I can’t wait!
Our journey with the Sarkarnii ends with the tale of the silent Drelix, and his mate Crystal, whom he runs into on a space station where he’s trying to get a much needed part for their ship, and some information about those who destroyed the Sarkarnii homeworld. Crystal has been through some really tough experiences; unlike the other humans in this series, she wasn’t fortunate enough to find herself amongst the Sarkarnii, and her tough attitude is pretty much the only thing that has kept her alive!
We finally get some answers in this book, and we are also introduced to some new and intriguing aliens that are happily going to have their own tales. I admit that I am very curious about one particular human, mentioned in passing in this book, and I hope we hear a little more about her soon. Lots of action, some adventures, and of course some romance and steamy scenes, making this an enjoyable sci-fi romance for the SFR lover, and the perfect conclusion to the Sarkarnii series.
Sarkarnii are the best. Kind of like big scaly puppy dragon lizard beings that just want to make their mates happy with a streak of possessiveness, chaos, honor. All of those things somehow smash together and leave you with an overall sweet male just wanting to please his mate.
Drelix is no different when it comes to being a “normal” Sarkarnii but with a Sarkarnii Priest Twist. He is funny with his teasing and cluelessness when it comes to the females of species. Crystal is the independent female who wins over the big guy right out the gate. She is the one that needed convincing regarding them being mates.
I think this book had quite a bit of humor in it and carried on themes throughout the series like the males being scared to be envenomated by their females and the lack of Sarkarnii wearing pants.
I also really liked that some of Hattie’s other books with different species made “cameos”.
Can never get enough of these Sakarnii Warriors. I loved this story. It was a story of revenge, redemption and finding your person when you don't feel worthy. Drelix was a Haisarkarnii as well as a warrior who took a vow of silence until he got revenger for the loss of his family and everything he held near and dear. Well, all of that went out of the window the day Crystal literally ran into his life. Crystal was abducted and whatever was necessary to stay alive. She was content with her day-to-day struggle until the day she met an alien being she has never encountered before.
This story was really heartfelt and funny. The witty banter between Crystal and Drelix was profound. Two damaged beings healing one another the more time they spent in each other's presence. All Drelix knew was revenge and bloodlust and never imagined he would have a 2nd chance of family until he met his mate. Crystal was a survivor and knew the odds were always against her, but she persevered through it all and it didn't hurt to have a 7ft alien warrior at her side.
Drelix has been sent on a mission on a space station to find a weapon, he not only finds it and trouble, but he finds his fated mate in Crystal, a human female who escaped from her alien owner. I absolutely loved the interaction between these two characters and how they faced challenges together and eventually grew closer to each other until it was inevitable that they mated. Drelix has sworn revenge on the people responsible for the destruction of their planet and the Sarkarnii warriors and families. It’s only with the help with Crystal that he’s able to save his soul from revenge. There is a happily ever after for this couple and a new planet for their race to grow on.
I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and I am reviewing with my honest and fair opinion.
loved it !! love this series !! hope this is not the end... Jade's story ? glad the Gryn are back !!! love Crystal and Drelix... this is their story... a fast paced action packed drama... we learn more about Drelix and his vow of silence... revenge... and Haisarkarnii... Priest class... station X42... and so much more... Crystal... Trouble and little morsel ..is trouble... abducted and escaped... just trying to survive on a broken down space station... Drelix looking for info and weapons on Station X42 and he meets Crystal there... fate ? destiny ? trouble ? all of the above... secrets and more... and the Gryn , the ones indentured in space... so good !!! received this on an ARC, my honest review ...
The story continues! With only brief mentions of Drelix previously, it was interesting to hear his story. With secrets of his own, he definitely brought new details to light in the Sarkarnii search for of their kind. Crystal comes across as a level headed survivor, so was a great match for Drelix. Once again, the descriptions of the various settings and so many very unique aliens really set the stage for this story to unfold. I think it was the rich world building and the realistic playful banter between these two main characters that brought this story to life foe me. As always, it was so satisfying to see how things turned out in the end.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily sharing my honest review.
This was another amazing read. All is revealed about Drelix. 💜 As one chapter ends another one begins. Crystal's character is awesome, her no nonsense, kickass attitude has kept her alive since her abduction. Her first introduction to Drelix is less than graceful to say the least, but their instant attraction is addictive. Crystal and Drelix are a perfect ending to this awesome series.
I'm sad to see this series end, but dang what an amazing conclusion. The Sarkanii fulfilled their destiny. Hopefully this isn't the last we'll hear from them.
"I will always come for you, hearts-fire. I will always defend you. You are not alone. Not anymore."
Drelix is the mmc in this book, and he has taken a vow of silence and wants revenge against those who have killed his family and the majority of his race. When he runs into Crystal he recognizes that she is his mate right away. She is a human who has escaped into her current situation and then helps him on his quest. She is a baddie and we love her, she equally helps take care of Drelix. The spice between them is *chefs kiss* and this is another amazing installment in the Sarkarnii series that you won’t want to miss.
I think Hattie was saving the best for last. I love the humor in the story. More than the other books (in my opinion). Loved the nicknames Drelex gave Crystal. And like some of the other Sarkarnii not wanting to wear pants. Must be a dragon thing. His secret is revealed to the astonishment of some and confirmation of the other "brothers". He keeps saying Crystal is trouble but.... They get help from an unexpected source. Love the species. Non-stop action . Steam to the romance and of course a very delicious HEA for the couple. I received a free copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.
THE SPICE! I was granted access to an ARC in return for an honest review.
I have been reading this series from the get go and it just keeps getting BETTER and BETTER with each new instalment! The best part, they found a home!! After so long they finally found somewhere to lay roots and call home. What an amazing and peaceful though to have. My favorite thing about this series is it is a comfort non-serious read for me. This is the series (if I am being honest, anything Hattie) and curl up on my chair with for comfort. It is cringey in the best of ways, and it is adorable all the time. Who wouldn’t love to cuddle up with a hunky devoted dragon every night? I know I sure would!

I love Hattie Jack’s alien warrior romance series featuring males that can switch between humanoid and giant dragon form! They’ve escaped the prison planet and search for the rest of their kind. Drelix is out for revenge and goes off on his own where he rescues a female human named Crystal. Their adventures are amazing, surviving a gladiator arena, overcoming evil nuns that turn out to be the species that annihilated their home world, and, finally, fulfilled the mating dance to become a mated pair on the new home world.
I throughly enjoyed this latest Sarkarnii book because Drexlix in his full shifted form was sight to behold. He was a male on a mission and finding Crystal was a shock. Crystal was an abducted human who escaped her purchaser and struggled to survive. Drex was her her ticket off planet but first they had to overcome a few obstacles and kill a few enemies. Full of action and humor this was a fun book to read. And there are more Gryn for future stories. I miss those guys!
This final installment was action packed with some surprises and laughter Every book in the series was awesome and you have to love the human females who tame their dragons who fiercely loves them Hattie has an awesome imagination and we are blessed to be able to read about them I am looking forward to learning what happened to Jade, hope we get her story and the upcoming series on the Gyrn should be epic Great job on the series Hattie and I look forward to reading everything in your catalogue
Crystal never had an easy life and getting abducted and dumped on a space station didn’t help either. She was street smart, determined, independent and feisty with no intention of getting involved with any male. Unfortunately that didn’t last long. Enter Drelix, a violent, revengeful Haisarkarnii who goes into rut upon meeting her. This is where anything that could go wrong, did. From then on it’s nothing but excitement and danger every step of the way.
Get ready to be swept away in this thrilling sci fi romance where passion, humor and courage collide with a whirlwind of adventure. Drelix ,the mute Sarkarnii falls hard for Crystal but there are secrets, betrayal and old enemies lurking in the shadows. Special mention to an adorable star cat that bonds with Crystal. This series is phenomenal and Hattie Jacks deserves a huge praise, and even gives some hints to a new series that promisses to be Epic!
Little morsel has me eating out of Drelix's hand....
I love how strong and courageous Crystal is. She's constantly throwing herself headfirst into trouble. The moment she storms into cranky Drelix's world, she rocks it. Instantly humor and chemistry for days. He fans Crystal's flames to grow her fire and bask in its warmth instead of putting it out. He calls her his little morsel, and it will have you melting.
What a great world and I just loved this couple! Crystal has been making her way on the station and doing a pretty good job of it till everything blows up as Drelix gets there. So many things come out about him and her and the Gryn and the Alajaz and the planet they now claim as their own. I love the star cat that protects Crystal too. So many cool things in this story and very well done.
Omg. This one was amazing. The entire story was well written and brought back some old favorites, new characters and new planets. Reoccurring side characters and a species that I loved and couldn't help giggling over again. Lots of action, and some answers as well as another dance party. I love this series.
The cleansing-ist of palate cleaners. Was it a little cringey? Yup. But was it cute and hot? Forsure. I’d honestly be lying if I didn’t say I actually keep reading these bc I want to know about the overarching plot as well 🫡😂
The characters, worlds & storyline are great. There were just enough books in the series to keep it interesting. I enjoyed the whole thing, well kinda skipped through the dragon sex. Apparently, not my thing.
Wonderful written story, the characters are enjoyable. I can picture the scene from the way it's written. I craved more of these stories. You will enjoy reading this book too. Have fun😜.
He is more! Enjoyed this book. Especially his human mate. She was a great character. Only thing I wished was to eliminate one of battle scenes and add more of their learning about each other stories.
