Do you want to come and see my puppy?

She stares up at me, eyes wide, a huge smile spreading. Her name is Poppy, and she has no idea her mother isn’t in the park anymore. Pretty Poppy is too absorbed on the swings to notice Mummy has walked off into the woods and hasn’t come back out . . .

And now she’s mine.

Now.
Detective Inspector Tracy Collier needs a minute. She’s standing outside the forensic tent at the edge of the park working up the courage to go back in.

There’s only so many dead bodies with slashed throats you can take.

And there’s only forty-eight hours until your chances of finding a missing child slip away . . .

Every second counts, and time is running out to save Poppy’s life.

Wow the DI Tracy Collier series just gets better and better. In my opinion, this is one of THE BEST detective series around. If you love the TV programme No Offence you’ll really enjoy this series.

Tracy is still fighting some inner demons but they’re fading now.

This one is a heartbreaking and sinister reads that will leave you on the edge of your seat.

Really don’t want to say anything more, this series is too good to post spoilers about. Grab your copy today, it’s amazing and hands down the best book in the series.

I recently completed a profoundly engaging and thought-provoking book that thoroughly captivated me from the opening pages to the final chapter. I read it in one sitting.

The narrative revolves around the distressing abduction of a child and the brutal murder of her mother, with the unsettling revelation of additional missing children introducing layers of intricacy and urgency to the storyline.

DI Tracy Collier, the central character, is entrusted with the formidable task of resolving these interconnected cases. What renders her character particularly captivating is her astutely flawed and occasionally unorthodox approach to investigative work, imbuing her portrayal with depth and authenticity.

An aspect that resonated significantly with me was the author's adept portrayal of Tracy's multifaceted persona through her internal reflections. This offered an intimate glimpse into her trials, apprehensions, and potential journey to recovery, not only enriching the narrative but also rendering Tracy's character remarkably genuine and relatable, evoking a profound sense of empathy.

In conclusion, I enthusiastically endorse this book to those searching for a compelling and emotionally evocative read that delves into the intricacies of human nature and the enduring strength of hope and resilience in the face of adversity.

This series just gets better with each book!
DI Tracy Collier is in a race against time to find an abducted 5 year old girl. Tracy and the team will get no sleep until they find her - dead or alive.
This is a difficult book to read but as difficult as it was, I could not put the book down. I genuinely had no idea who had abducted little Polly until near the end of the book.
The author, Emmy Ellis, has now become a firm favourite of mine. I highly recommend this book and series.

Another absolutely brilliant read from start to finish. Fast-paced, wonderfully written. I flipping loved it.

A child is abducted, her mother brutally killed, and then the slow realization that she's not the only missing kid gives DI Tracy Collier one hell of a headache. But our brilliantly flawed, sometimes crazy detective inspector is more than up to the task.

I adore Tracy's inner monologue. There's just enough to give the reader a wonderful insight into this enormously complicated character. Throughout this, and the previous three books, Ms. Ellis drops in snippets of information, slowly revealing Tracy's inner torment and, hopefully, road to recovery.

Highly recommended.

There’s a young child missing, and her mother has been found dead.

D.I. Tracey Collier works with her team, to find out who this lady was, and where she lived.
They eventually speak to her husband. To say he was weird, is an understatement. Their child is missing!!

This story was a mother’s nightmare. Couldn’t put it down, as there was so much going on.

Be warned, you won’t sleep until you’ve finished the whole book!

Brilliant book, by Emmy Ellis.

They just get better and better!

This book was spellbinding! Yes it was bizarre, explicit, and at times just out crazy! But it was amazing writing. The emotions that showed through, not just the main characters, but all involved were outstanding! I felt sadness, fear, longing, and exhaustion for all of them! I don't know how I missed this author previously, but I sure won't make that mistake again. I'm off to number 5, and I know it will be just as good, if not better!

Another nail biting book by Emmy. Tracy is having to work alone on a sinister case. You are drawn in from the first page. She is working against the clock to save a young girl and trying to crack the case leaves her team working to the wire. Highly recommended. Cant wair for book 5.

In this instalment we get a glimpse into Tracy’s mind and the way it is changing whilst she works on another case involving the kidnapping and deaths.

We also see Tracy and Damons relationship get stronger.

This was another page Turner. The plot twist was very good. The writer kept the story moving along and kept the reader interested in the various characters. Great ending.
