The shocking sequel to Blog of the Dead - Sophie ...

In the aftermath of her doomed wedding, Sophie struggles to come to terms with what she has lost to the undead. And as if the zombies weren’t enough, a member of the St Andrews community is found brutally murdered – by human hands. When Sophie and Misfit meet a mysterious stranger on the beach, the lives of the town’s remaining survivors take a sinister turn.

Now Sophie and her team must survive the zombies long enough to track the killer and put an end to a far greater evil. But with an innocent man at risk, and a healing zombie to protect, can she do it before the killer strikes again? Life in the zombie apocalypse just got a hell of a lot harder...

Lisa Richardson is the author of Blog of the Dead - Sophie. Lisa is proud to have friends that don't bat an eyelid when she calls them to say 'Who's up for shooting a short film? I have a script but we only have one night before the location is converted into flats. Lets go!' She lives in Folkestone, a crazy little seaside town in Kent, with her two children.

Blog of the Dead - Sophie is Lisa's first published novel and was inspired by watching Folkestone Zombie Walk 2011 and George A Romero's 'Diary of the Dead'. Set in Folkestone, it is the story of life during a zombie apocalypse, written as blog entries by a survivor called Sophie. The book combines horror, humour, friendships and love in a dystopian world where powerful friendships are quickly formed and even quicker lost, and where zombies are not always the biggest threat.

The blog of the dead series continues to be one of my favorites. It's written with a fresh style and the story revolves around a group of well defined characters that are written so well I can usually know who's talking by how they speak. The action is fast and easy to follow. When reading an action sequence one of my least favorite writing tactics is when the characters talk about irrelevant topics. That doesn't happen here. This is an enjoyable read.

Life was every bit as good as Sophie, the first book in the trilogy. Great action, amazing charachters that become a tight family, heartbreaking loss, human baddies... everything a great zombie apocalypse series needs! And I like that it is a real setting so I can see the buildings and places Lisa is writing about on Google Street View.

It's kinda sad there are so few ratings and reviews for this trilogy cause it really deserves to be read.
