As a search and rescue volunteer, I've seen it all. But when I arrive at the Blue Mountain Gorge, I was not prepared to be searching for the love of my life.
Worse than that, when I find her, she has no idea who I am.
Will she see me only as her rescuer? Or will she fall in love with me all over again?
I loved this book, it made me feel a range of emotions (sadness, anger, happiness.) Scott and Wynter’s love for one another was apparent from the beginning. They are blissfully married and expecting their first bundle of joy, when an accident happens and everything seems to go downhill. Scott finds out he has been betrayed by one of his best friends and his wife doesn’t remember him. She believes she is married to and expecting with someone else. Scott does everything he can to be with Wynter and follow the doctor’s orders. Finally Wynter’s memory starts to come back and she falls in love with Scott all over again. Scott is the type of husband ever women want to have when a tragedy strikes.

TRIGGER WARNINGS: Memory Loss/ Amnesia
All thoughts and opinions are my own, and in no way have I been influenced by anyone.
When I started this book, I was captivated right away. The love between Scott and Wynter as they prepare for the arrival of their baby is so beautiful. Their relationship did not have an easy start, but they worked through it together.
That fateful day started much like others - Scott heads off to work and Wynter plans to take some pictures for a book she’s writing about Kissing Springs. However, after a visit from her friend Drake upsets Wynter, she slips and falls while out walking in a park.
Scott, a certified searcher, gets a call about a woman someone saw fall off a ledge. He has no idea the person is Wynter! He is further dismayed when she doesn’t remember him at all - and thinks she’s married to Drake!
Now Scott has to get Wynter to fall in love with him all over. Oh, my heart! This man is so swoony!!!
Midnight and Mine is part of the multi-authored Kissing Springs world. OMG, is this one a swoony, tearjerker of an emotional roller-coaster ride. Scott and Wynter were childhood friends who are now married and expecting their first child. They are blissfully in love and excited to begin their family. When tragedy strikes and Wynter is injured, she has amnesia and thinks she is pregnant and with someone else... who is a "friend" that really betrayed Scott. Now, Scott has to make Wynter fall in love with him all over again. Scott was so amazing. He is totally a new book boyfriend. The way these two loved each other and found their way back was everything. I loved this one so much.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
SO FREAKING GOOD! Such a sweet small town romance, but made me nervous at times. I love the big group of friends. I cannot wait for this to release so everyone else can read it! Kristin is my auto buy author & I swear she writes bangers every time!!!! I also really loved the spelling of “WYNTER”.
Wynter Wilson is pregnant and just as crazy and all over the place as she was before pregnancy. Scott is still as gaga over her as he has always been and as patient, too. He will and would do anything for her. They are both happier than they have ever been; their marriage is good, the pregnancy is moving along smoothly, and both their jobs are fulfilling and profitable. Scotty and Wynter have been friends since they were kids. After that, they grew into best friends with benefits. Depending on the circumstance on any given day.
Now that they are married, they can never get enough of each other; in truth, with Wynter being pregnant, Scotty can’t seem to get enough of her. Scotty tells her he needs to get to work. That he had to go to Lexington that day to observe a surgery. Wynter asked what time he would be home. “It’s a six or seven-hour surgery, so probably late. I’ll call you on my way home. What are you doing today?” “Just writing. I may take some photographs today since I feel so good.” She paused and placed her hand on her stomach.
“She’s kicking.” A kick presses against his hand. It’s hard to describe how it makes him feel; it's a combination of wonderment and fear, hoping they can give their baby the life she deserves. He placed his ear by his hand on her belly and whispered, “It’s your daddy. Do you like cinnamon rolls too?” Wynter had been sitting in her backyard feeling blessed. Lucky to have a husband like Scott. Lucky to have parents who have loved her and supported every wild whim. Lucky to have a baby growing inside her. Lucky to have a career as a freelance writer and photographer.
She is writing a book about Kissing Springs, the romance capital of the South. Southern Charm Magazine hired her to write an article last year, and when she did, the response was overwhelming, so Scott talked her into publishing a coffee table book. Leaving the town has never been a consideration for her. She loves everything and everyone there. Her phone rings, and it’s one of our best friends, Drake. “Hey.” “I’ve been knocking on the front door. I brought you a turkey and avocado sandwich from Magee’s.”
“Does it have cheese on it?” “What?” “The only way I’m letting you in is if it has cheese.” “Do you want me to go back and have them add cheese? You hate cheese.” “Have you already eaten?” “Yeah. Had lunch with my parents today. They… umm… well, they’re getting a divorce. Married for twenty-nine years and are getting a divorce.” “Oh God, I’m so sorry,” she says as she surrounds his waist with her arms and buries her head in his chest. Drake and I were always forced together when our parents had dinner parties and cookouts when they played card games like Rook or Euchre.
And I’ve always felt like he was a little brother to me, being two years younger. Now, he’s part of our friend group. We’ve endured several tragedies in our young lives, like when their best friend’s boyfriend died. We were crushed with pain, and now, she does know how to be a good friend, but Scott is ultimately better in these situations. Wynter tilts her head up to look at him, and he leans his forehead down to hers. It feels awkward, but she doesn’t know how to react. “I feel so… alone.” Whispering back, she says,
“They’re still your parents. Plus, you have me and…” Before she can get the word “Scott” out of her mouth, his mouth drops and the plump flesh of his lips presses against hers. It’s soft and gentle. And all wrong. She pushes him away, touching her lips. Stepping backward, he says, “God. I don’t know what came over me. I’m sorry.” Drake has been hiding a dark secret and dragged her into his crap. “You’re confused. And you’re one of my best friends too. You’re hurting and need someone, but Drake… I love my husband, and nothing will ever change that.”
“I need to go.” Wynter walked into the office, unzipping her camera bag to check the batteries, and then she swung it over her shoulder and inhaled. Then she drove out of town, heading to the gorge to get her photos of the Blue Mountain Gorge at sunset. This right here changed the course of everyone's lives. Such a good book. With gut-wrenching moments as well as funny moments. The unconditional love Scott had for Wynter was unbelievably strong. And the restraint and mercy he showed to Drake were immense.
Oh my goodness Kristin Lee! This was heavenly ! Crying? Bucket loads ! I know from a near death myself how eye opening something such as this is and how it can epically change your dynamic , your very thought panoramic ,what you ought to and not to do in such circumstance. A dangerous misstep a glance and bam goes that life that you knew before . How it will turn out ,they don’t know . They just have to hope upon hope ,something will seep through from a time before this , their wedded bliss or even a kiss, hoping that one day they can reminisce and be happy. A little grain it may just take ,an inkling of familiarity and clarity in its place but for the grace of god, and pure love. Yes be there but yet he must refrain from guiding her path. Leave her to find the path she needs to come home . You have done a dream job with these two souls Kristin , so real , raw and yup I cried some more . The love story so profound it physically hurts as he feels the loss of her light …their goals together. You made ME sob ! A wracking mess…I digress. A traumatic experience and two hearts ,well baby actually makes three , that DEFINE life and what IT throws at them ,not let the pain ,the loss and all , control their life ,their very joint existence through determination and a love that they can absolutely be sure of ,even if it’s discovered when it was lost for a while . He’s her rescuer but her soul mate too. Scott my love ,she doesn’t remember you. But she’s still your best girl, your friend, that in your heart will never end. She will know on you she can depend. Now this brave man with a heart as big as the mountain he scales. The Blue Mountain Gorge has the love of his life fighting for life and her former life as a mother to be, a wife . Amnesia has took hold and her brain fails. She even thinks she’s married to Drake for heavens sake ! She went off on her own to take some photos after he and her quarrelled ,so of course she remembers HIM and thus mistakes him for Scott , but no he’s not her husband ,nor the dad to her unborn baby either. Scott you need to take a breather ,it’s a lot to take in, he needs calm and so does she before they can begin on the long road together. She can’t be upset ,think of their baby girl cocooned inside see. So he does hide his angst and his fears ,holds back his tears. He will love her forever ,that won’t change.Slowly this awe inspiring ,gentle man does all he can for his wife Wynter. He’s her rock ,steady and patient ,hoping and praying she has a spark ,a recognition ,to be her ignition that will fire her desire back for him ,but she knows instinctively that this man means so much without him having to speak or touch on any subject that may sway and make true memories go away. Under doctor’s orders, he bites his time . Their’s is an awfully long love story ,as from a young age ,they were the best of friends back when they were small . They’ve seen it all and worked things out together since forever it seems . Their’s is a love of sunbeams , dreams, rainbows and heart glows. He’s with her every tiny step of the way. His love is sublime ,though they have a mountain of a recovery climb. They’ll come through or she’ll learn to love him again but together they’ll weather any storm till it’s calm again. And that is their healing balm. I can’t overstate how sublimely beautiful and well portrayed this story is. It really is superb. Every descriptor, every bit of prose ,the characters . The blurb! Awesome storytelling I’m undone with this one Kristin Lee hon. A no. 1
“Midnight and Mine” is the sixth book in the “Welcome to Kissing Springs: Midnight Season” but the first one by Kristin Lee. Scott and Wynter are very much in love and expecting their first baby - a baby girl. They have been friends forever, she is the girl that Scott has always wanted, the girl he has loved since they were teenagers. He wants more than friends with benefits, until Scott takes a chance and opens up about he really feels …..
“My heart can only take so much. I fold my fingers around her wrists and remove them from my face. “That’s the problem, Wyn. I want so much more than that. I want my best friend, but I also want a girlfriend. One that wants me and only me. One that isn’t afraid to tell the world that she’s given me her heart.” She drops her head and kisses my fingers that are holding her wrists. When she looks up, a trail of mascara streams down her face. “That’s what I want too - with you.”
Five years latter and they are happily married and expecting their first child. Life is good! Until one day it is not ….. Wynter has a fall and hits her head. When she wakes up, she has lost parts of her memory. She does not remember Scott and thinks she is married to someone else ….. Drake. He is devastated! Another man, a friend, following doctors instructions, has to play along with being her husband and the father of his baby.
Will she get her memory back? Will she remember her husband and the father of her baby? If she does not remember him, or will they fall in love all over again? The story is tragic at times, beautiful, a love story for the ages. You will laugh, you will cry, you will get frustrated, you will even get angry at times but most of all, you will hoping that everything will work out for them!
Once I started reading, I could not put this book down! This book will charm “the pants off you” and leave you going back for more. I thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful love story. You cannot help yourself, you will fall in love with Scott and Wynter 💞 From page to page, chapter to chapter, from cover to cover - you will enjoy this beautiful story! This book will not disappoint! Highly recommended 😊
My oh-so-romantic-heart LOVED Scott and Wynter's story
Before heading into this book, I held all types of trepidation because love triangles are not my idea of a good time spent reading. But seriously, I LOVE everything that I have read from Author Kristin Lee and will read every new release, so MIDNIGHT AND MINE was going to be no different. A love triangle though? I wasn't so sure.
Scott and Wynter's relationship came from a friends-to-lovers to background, through a casual bed-buddy relationship into an all consuming unconditional love. I might be wrong, but I got the feeling that Scott was also our he falls first partner who had loved Wynter since they'd been knee high to grasshoppers. So, after finally having it all, Ms Lee absolutely broke not only Scott's heart but mine as well. And yeah, I was all there for it!!!
Novellas are one of my favourite things to read. They're a break in book between bigger reads, or something to squeeze into your busy life when you are just desperate for a reading fix, and Ms Lee really crams so much romance plot into an economical ammount of words, and I tell you, not one of them was wasted on unimportant verbiage. Read the trope list for yourself because there are more tropes than you can shake a stick at!
So, if you're like me and consider love triangles a trope to be avoided at all costs, I suggest you give MIDNIGHT AND MINE a chance. Ms Lee’s books are the very definition of a romantic HEA and she will do you a solid. Seriously, I can guarantee that you won't be disappointed. 5-Romantic-Loving-Stars 📸💛✦
Scott and Wynter...wowza! I wasn't sure if I would like an amnesia story, but Kristin Lee wrote this story perfectly!
Scott and Wynter have known each other since elementary school and Scott has loved Wynter at least that long. It look a bit longer for Wynter to realize that the friends with benes situation was really going to be better as husband and wife. They are incredibly in love and nothing would ever change that...right??
Wynter gets some news from one of her and Scott's best friends and she needs to process it and figure out how to tell Scott. Because of a fall, she doesn't get the opportunity to tell him. She hits her head and has amnesia, but for some reason remembers that Drake is important to her. She comes to the conclusion that Drake is her husband, and the doctors want to be sure that everyone "plays along" until Wynter can regain her memory on her own.
So much pretending is hard on everyone, especially Scott. He hates that Drake has to act like her husband and does everything he can to limit Drake's interactions with Wynter. When Scott finds out that Drake was the reason for Wynter being out at the gorge and falling, he loses it and the truth has to come out.
Kristin Lee does such a fabulous job of bringing this story to us! I love all of the intricacies and how everything gets wrapped up neatly at the end. Midnight and Mine is at the top of my faves list for the year!!
I absolutely loved this book! A wonder love story from Kristen Lee!!! You won’t be disappointed!! Wynter falls down a hill while hiking. She hits her head in the fall. Miraculously her unborn child is alright.
She wakes up in a hospital with no idea who she is. She sees she has a wedding ring on her finger, so she figures she married. The last memory she has is from a disagreement with her friend Drake. So she decides she must be married to him. When she’s really married to he childhood best friend Scotty. The doctors and nurses don’t want anyone telling her the truth. So Scotty and Wynter’s parents all go along with it.
It’s really hurting Scotty’s heart to see the love of his life and mother of his child act like she is married to someone else.
When she’s released from the hospital. She goes to stay with her parents. The Drs think it may help her memory to be around familiar things.
Scotty come up with the idea to date his wife. He wants to show her why they fell in love. So he takes her around her parents property and to their house to see the garden she loved.
I absolutely love Scotty’s idea to date his wife!! She started falling in love with him all over again!
Scott and Wynter are very Happily Married and Wynter is pregnant with their little girl.
She goes off to take Photos after an incident with their Best Friend Drake. She has a fall and ends up with Amnesia after it. Thankfully, their baby girl is okay after the fall.
Unfortunately for her hubby Scott who adores the ground Wynter walks on, she does not remember he is her husband and thinks it is Drake as that was the last person she had seen at lunchtime before she headed to take off to take her photos.
This makes things very awkward and practically breaks Scotts heart.
The Doctors won't allow anyone to tell her anything and want Wynter to remember her life as it was without anything telling her exactly how it was before she fell.
Scott as hard as it is for him, doesn't tell her anything for a long time and Wynter starts to gradually remember bits and pieces of how her life was.
I won't say anything else but let me tell you, if any of us were unfortunate enough to have a horrific fall and not remember anything previous to it, we would all love a Swoon worthy hubby like Scott to not give up on us and start to Romance us again to help with us regaining our Memory x
Scott and Wynter Wilson are married and expecting their first baby. They have known each other all their lives, friends since they were kids. Scott travels all over the state in his business, today not being any different. Wynter is a freelance writer and photographer currently working on a table top book about Kissing Springs, their town.
One of their friends Drake stops by to see Wynter except it ends up upsetting her. She leaves to take her pictures and ends up falling, hitting her head which causes amnesia.
Scott is driving home and gets word he's needed for a search and rescue since he is part of the team. Little did he know that the person he was searching for was his wife.
Wynter doesn't remember him and thinks Drake is her husband since he was the last person she saw. Scott is crushed but not willing to give up. Only time will tell.
"She is my present, my future, my wife." "She is my anchor. Whether as friends, as a date, or as my wife, she's the axis my life spins around, and I can't imagine it any other way."
Where to even begin with this book, it is different from her other books that she has written. However, it is sweet, tugs at your heart strings, and gives all the vibes of finding the one for you. And the way Scott stayed so strong and steady for her. 😭
Spice in chapter one, yes please. 😉
Scott and Wynter were friends for years and entered friends with benefits which lead to falling in love. Scott works for a company who is introducing a machine to hospitals for surgeries. Wynter is a photographer and is pregnant with their first child.
One surprise fall, turns their world upside down. She doesn’t remember who her husband is and mistakes him from someone else. The story shows the “in sickness” part of the vows and how he struggles as she recovers from her fall. She slowly remembers different memories from growing up and certain events. Her friends, her parents, and Scott all work to be her constant while not indulging too much to help her remember on her own.
It was such a sweet read that tugs on all your heart strings constantly. Go grab this book, you will not be disappointed!
Midnight and Mine by Kristin Lee is part of the multi-author Welcome to Kissing Springs: Midnight Season series. This is a highly emotional story, at least for me it was, as you go through all the ups and downs in this romance. It finds Wynter and Scott married, deeply in love, and have a baby on the way. They had been best friends who ended up with some benefits and then it all grew a lot deeper and more intense between them. He is part of the local Search and Rescue team. So when he was called out after a woman reported seeing another woman fall down the gorge he is not prepared to find it is Wynter that is down there. She slipped and fell hard, ending up with a head injury and amnesia on top of it all. She does remember Scott but not that they are married and deeply in love. For his part Scott is crushed as he had it all one moment and the next it all changes. But Scott is not about to let Wynter slip away from him and is ready to live up to his vows of "in sickness and in health". As Wynter begins to recover some of her memory, bit by agonizing bit, you hold your breath just waiting for that breakthrough.
A sexy and charming read with so many emotions. Wynter and Scott have been best friends since childhood, and are now married with a baby due in a few months. Their love is fierce and combustible. Wynter is injured in a fall and ends up with amnesia due to a severe head injury. The memories of their love are gone, but she feels the connection between them and is confused by it because she mistakenly thinks those feelings are wrong.
Scott is on his way home when he is called out for a search and rescue not knowing the woman a hiker saw fall was his wife, Wynter. Seeing her broken at the bottom of a gorge breaks his heart and then later learning she doesn’t remember he’s her husband nearly kills him.
This is an emotional read with a unique love story. I loved the journey of Wynter slowly regaining her memories and falling in love with Scott again. She feels the connection to Scott, but she also makes some assumptions about what’s true based on partial information. As she rediscovers the truth along with the memories their love the story is spicy and fun. The friend group is super supportive and involved in helping Wynter recover. I enjoyed the scenes and seeing so many of these characters again.
I loved revisiting Kissing Springs KY and so many favorite characters. This was a fantastic read.
I received a free ARC from the author; and I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased review.
I love all things Kristin Lee, and this does not disappoint; this will hook you from the very beginning!! Wynter and Scott have an amazing marriage, with a baby on the way; along with a great group of friends!! Scott is off to work, and Wynter plans to head out and shoot some pictures. Before Wynter can leave, their friend Drake stops by; he says something that upsets her, and she runs out of the house. Wynter is injured in a fall. On Scott's way home from work, he receives a call that an unconscious woman is found; and they need his search and rescue skills. Scott is shocked to find that the unconscious woman is his wife!!! What was she doing out there by herself, how long has she been unconscious? Is the baby ok? The baby is fine, when Wynter wakes up she has amnesia. She believes Drake is her husband, Why? Does she get her memory back? Love the plot, great setting, and strong intense interesting characters. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Kristin Lee!!!
LOVED IT! You will read, and not be able to put it down until its done. This story is about Scott, and Wynter. They are married, and expecting a baby. They seem perfectly in love and excited about the new baby coming. All is great until she gets injured on a photography hiking trip, and Wynter can no longer remember people she loves including Scott. This is incredibly hard especially given they have known each other forever. This is mostly about there journey back to each other, and the drama that lead to this whole thing unfold. She thinks someone else she's also known a long time is her husband vs Scott. This all causes way more drama than necessary. I love the way in the end how she gradually got her memories back. She always knew there was something special about Scott. I loved all of her sports books, but didn't know about these books. Now that I know I will absolutely read more.
This story was so inspiring! It shows what a man will do to win the heart of his wife again. Scott and Wynter have known each other for two decades and have always been around. The families are comfortable with each other and friends all have their backs. They rally around when Wynter loses her memory and stand by as best they can. Scott and Wynter are married with a baby coming soon. When Wynter loses her memory, Scott has to remain strong even when it seems nearly impossible. He remains by her side, even when she doesn't remember him. He shows her how important she is to him and while he does this, she knows there's something between them. She feels the connection. This was such a great book filled with such a great group of friends and a happy ending! Scott and Wynter beat the odds and make a beautiful family!
This was my first Kristin Lee book, & needless to say, it absolutely will NOT be the last.
For me, a book has to evoke emotions. And lemme tell you, mine were all over the place reading Scott and Wynter's story. I went from being teary-eyed to smiling to dang near throwing my Kindle across the room—but I loved EVERY second of it.
Scott is an amazing Hero (I don't say that mildly), and I was rooting for Wynter so much. These two together were *chef's kiss*. I also loved the small-town and large friend group aspect.
All in all, I was captivated from the first page to the very end. This is definitely going onto my reread list b/c it was so good. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go binge Kristin's entire backlist.
Midnight and Mine is a quick emotional rollercoaster ride that the reader will not be able to put down. I am not usually a fan of the amnesia trope because if often feels unrealistic to me. This author has handled the subject with heart wrenching exactness and finesse. You feel every feeling with Scott and Wynter as they are going through them. The emotional connection and love they have for each other are written to perfection and will grip your heart and soul. Scott has got to be one of my favorite characters I've read this year. His heartache is so poignant you feel it right along with him. The emotional connection between this couple is expertly defined and the secondary characters give great weight and support to the story. I have not read the rest of the books in this series but i definitely will be. I loved the bonus scene. Thos author totally captured my imagination.
This was a sweet small town romance with spice and heart. There were emotions puring out of every page.
The connection between Scott and Wynter as at the core of the story and when Wynter is injured Scott puts her at the forefront of all is actions and reactions.
With a supporting case of freinds and family with history and memories amongst them, Wynters amnesia stood out starkly. But she and Scott handled that with a core strength and grace.
There were a coulple of hints to books to come and I love that!
The story plays out nicely and I will defintely look for more books form this new to me author.
I really enjoyed reading this book.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Midnight and Mine by Kristin Lee ARC Book Recommendation (Early Access to read this book so that I can leave an honest book view)
Wow, I don't know how Scott stayed so steady. It was heartbreaking. I love that this story integrated an already married couple. So the Quotes are: "This book is action-packed and smoking hot, but be prepared to get out those Kleenex." "Okay, okay, okay. who isn’t obsessed with husband who will walk through fire for their wife? So HOT HOT HOT!!". Obsessed. A small-town romance that needs to be read! Grab this book, you won't be disappointed. Love the chemistry and twists this took.
I loved this book so much because I loved the couple so much. This book is a 5/5 stars.
The only spoilers in this review are already revealed by the book blurb.
Wow, the emotional rollercoaster that you go on along with the MMC as he realizes that his wife is the person in need of rescue and then she doesn't remember him! The journey back to health and regaining her memory was very well written. Although there were a few points that I may have yelled at the book and wanted done differently this was no different from the MMC's thoughts on the whole situation.
Wynter and Scott were best friends since childhood with a strong marriage, watching Wynter fall back in love with her husband was the best journey. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Remember me - That's all Scott wants from his wife Wynter. Her memories lost due to a foolhardy lack of judgment on her part, she thinks one of her closest friends is her husband, not the man who is constantly by her bedside. As she struggles to remember her life before the accident, it is all Scott can do to let nature takes its course and not reveal everything to the love of his life.
A wonderful story with a MMC who is unafraid to show his feelings for his love, whether they be joy, sadness or fear. A great cast of characters support the MCs through their ordeal as Wynter remembers her life with Scott. Their life in Kissing Springs.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book is a testament to the power of love. Scott and Wynter have a long history that is challenged when an accident gives Wynter amnesia.
Told in dual point of view, these characters come alive for the reader. The supporting characters build the family community so prevalent in small town romances. Winter’s heartbreaking journey to recover her memories and Scott’s struggles to allow her time to recall their unbreakable bond brought me to tears.
Overall, this is an emotional and enjoyable read that reminds the reader that “All things are difficult before they are easy.”
This book was riveting-I could not put it down and read it in one sitting. Scott and Wynter are the ideal married couple with a baby on the way, until an almost tragic event upheaves their life as they know it. The hurt that was portrayed in Scott and how he never gave up…the way that these two found their way back together…it was all so captivating and special and so very sweet. I read this as a standalone but now want to go back and read about the other couples mentioned in this book. I think this now breaks the top spot for my favorite novel by this author! I had the opportunity from the author to read early, thoughts are my own, honest and voluntary. 4.5 stars
🌄Small Town 📷Memory Loss 🌄Love Triangle 📷Married Couple 🌄Search and Rescue 🌶️🌶️
This was my introduction to Kristin Lee, and I plan to devour as much as I can.
From finding Wynter to realizing she doesn't remember him to trying to win her back, you will feel absolute heartbreak for them both. I especially felt it for Scott, but they are able to prove that love conquers all.
This book will drag you in right away. Wynter and Scott have the happiest of marriages and are clearly perfect for each other. After an incident, with one of their best friends, she needs to be by herself to clear her head and that's when the accident happens.
This was a beautiful, emotional read! Scott and Wynter have the kind of love everyone wishes they had. Their journey to get to where they were at the beginning of the book clearly shows a devotion to one another, patience, and growth. What follows after Wynter’s fall is a testament to Scott’s patient devotion to Wynter, and Wynter’s heart knowing where it belonged. I wholeheartedly loved Scott and Wynter! Scott was just…pretty darn dreamy! While a part of me understands how upset Drake was and he just acted, I can’t understand why he said or did some of what he did afterwards. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
Kristin Lee did it again! I love her books and this one was amazing as always. I cried, I laughed and I tried to finish it in a few days but I couldn't due to personal issues and sleepiness. I was cheering for Wynter to get her memory back! I was rooting for Scott and how he was feeling and being strong. I got mad at Drake for everything he did wrong. I love how their story starts and how it keeps going. I love the love they have for each other and how when Wynter lost her memories she never strayed from Scott even when she forgot that he was her husband. Even when she thought she was married to Drake she never stopped loving Scott.
Scott and Wynter’s HEA I loved how this story was told. I had to be in the right mood to read it because I just knew this was going to be emotional. Scott and Wynter have known each other forever, now happily married and expecting a baby. An accident with injuries and amnesia will make an interesting story, when she doesn’t remember Scott is her husband and thinks someone else is. The emotional journey is at times heartbreaking but sprinkled with so much care, love and great stories of their relationship. With loving family and friends to help along the way, they will get their HEA again. This story has explicit scenes and no cliffhanger. I just found a new favorite author.
