Texas born and raised, I found my love for dirty books rather recently. I work in real estate for my normal job and I write contemporary romance. I plan on having Sinfully be the first of three in its series. I would like to do a standalone after, but we’ll see! I love sweet tea (made right!), cookie cake, and anything with chocolate and peanut butter. I have a few guys at my gym that are my TDF’s (tall, dark, and fuckable) but also have a HSB (Hot Sauna Boy), because let’s be honest, they’re my motivation while I’m there! I go to Las Vegas often but I swear I don’t have as much fun as Payton does. Although, if I found myself a Tate there, I might change my opinion!
Authors such as Katy Evans, SE Hall, Angela Graham, Jasinda Wilder, and Jillian Dodd have been a large influence on me and I’m forever grateful. I decided to write Sinfully on Black Friday in November 2013, on a whim. I thought I’d get bored after a few pages but was captivated by the characters and it developed into something I am truly proud of. When it comes to book boyfriends, I love those who are strong but with a little imperfection or tragedy in their past (Remy, Kellan, Q, Twitch are just a few of my favorites). I LOVE talking to my readers so feel free to message me on Facebook. <3

~4 Deliciously Wicked Stars~

I was selected to receive an advance copy of this book from Leighton, and I’m thrilled to be writing a review for it. Sinfully is Leighton’s first novel, and as sure as orgasm starts with “O” - she does not disappoint!

Sinfully starts out with the male lead’s POV - Ryder. He intrigued me right away, his love of books and the written word are what I liked best about him - I thought it was refreshing, not something we see in male characters these days. His determination to find Reece and get her signed with his publishing firm was the starting point to a wild, tumultuous ride FULL of drama, passion and maddening moments (seriously I was yelling at my tablet in frustration more than once!).

Payton...what can I say about Payton - besides the fact that I LOVE this character! She is so totally likable and relatable, I completely felt like she was someone I knew. I connected with her right away - the chick is a Vampire Diaries fan soooo nuff said. She is tough and stubborn, and at the same time very vulnerable. There were many sides to her and Leighton does a wonderful job showcasing them all.

The concept for this book was completely original and I enjoyed that. Payton used Vegas and her experiences there as her escape...she craved it and needed the thrills she found to survive. And seriously, she definitely found more than one delicious adventure - her encounters were steamy and hot and let’s be honest, something we all crave deep down ;)

The chemistry between Payton and Ryder is intense and explodes off the page...That Ryder - he had my lady parts working on overdrive on more than one occasion. My fave naughty scene from the book:

Ryder: “I like to come in here when I don’t have time to head to the gym. I can knock out an hour in here before or after work and not have to spend the time driving to and from the gym. Makes it easy.”
He walked a few more feet and sat me on a large red yoga ball. Steadying myself, I look up at him in wonder.
“So are we….?”

That scene was mind alteringly hot!! You’ll be wiping your sweaty brow after reading that part. Payton and Ryder have an undeniable attraction - the question throughout the book is...is it enough? Are they enough to each other to fight sins from their past? Or will something sinister tear them apart?

If you are looking for a hot read with humor, drama, passion and a LOT of steamy romance - this is the one for you. The concept is original and unique, with a plot twist that keeps you guessing till the very end.

Leighton - this book was unbelievable. I am blown away that this is your first novel, this story is beyond all my expectations and I can’t wait for more! All I can say is...PLEASE GIVE ME TATE’S STORY!! Oh I didn’t mention Tate? Well you’ll have to pick up this book to find out more about him ;)

When your writing prompt says, "Narrate something interesting that happened to you today," and your favorite activity is meeting hot guys, you'd end up with a book like Sinfully. Of course, author Leighton Riley ups the hot and sexy factor by 200%, making her main character Payton hide behind a pen name, Reece, in order to continue her, er, enjoyable pastimes in Vegas.

Payton really is a writer, but she pens children's books, not erotica. However, when she wants to cut loose, she takes trips to Vegas and looks for hot guys she can shed inhibitions with. It's never a permanent thing, just hot fun. Those times are so not run of the mill and could make up a good book, which she did!

It's so well done it catches Ryder's attention. Now, what's a man doing reading tell-all erotica? Not really his preferred fodder but Ryder's a publisher and is looking for new authors with works climbing the charts. He knows he's onto something when he can't put her story down and finds himself fantasizing of those very same situations. This is a writer he just needs to sign up.

After some digging (stalking?), he finds out she lives in San Diego. Period. Polite refusals through email frustrate him and the hunt is on. As luck would have it, he bumps into Payton while in search of Reece in San Diego and the sparks fly. Both of them aren't interested in anything long term but this encounter is a pull neither can seem to ignore.

Their game of chase-and-pull back fills this light, fun, and hot read. These two have some heavy problems, which hinder their ability to want a forever with anyone, but for the first time make a try at facing and solving them because the person they lust after deserves more than just a one night stand!

For a book with such a light beginning, I wasn't prepared to be going into something with a very complex draw! A main character with two personas would be one clue, but weaving a complicated web between the two mains and several supporting characters made this read truly enjoyable. There is even a twist near the end that I didn't predict. And I really liked how, during the introduction to the next installment, Payton's past comes back to bite her in a place she didn't know existed. Plus, that precious dirty tummy moment is something that had me laughing for quite a while after I was done.

Leighton Riley's made Sinfully into such a fun book: it's a perfect steamy read for the beach, a take-along novel for any vacation, or just for any time your brain craves an escape - like Reece!

Payton Davenport is a children’s writer with a secret. She has written a sex book under a penname, Reece Edwards. This book is all about her sexcapades that occur whenever she travels to the lovely city of Las Vegas. It’s an Amazon best seller and has caught the eye of not just a publishing company, but a creeper that’s bound and determined to make her life a living hell.
Ryder Strom is a publisher for Warrington Strom Publishing Agency. The book by Reece Edwards has caught his eye, and his dick. He’s set on signing this author and when she doesn’t respond in kind to his emails, he drives out to San Diego from Los Angeles, to make sure she can’t say no.
Payton and Ryder meet in a kickboxing class. They become fast friends…with benefits. After receiving some non-threatening but stalker like letters in the mail and Ryder following her to Vegas, she believes he’s her stalker and cuts all ties with him.
These two have a connection you can’t deny, and those few months that they each tried to let go of the other were tough. Can Payton and Ryder set aside their problems and make things work? Oh, and are they going to find out who sent those letters?
This is Leighton Riley’s first work. And she’s using a penname. I have no idea who she actually is. So, there’s that. Here’s the twist, she’s really Reece Edwards. No, I’m kidding. I don’t know who she is.
This is definitely a great start to her writing career. This book is filled with angst and twists and turns that will make your heart race. She definitely got me at the end… I can’t say who or what or why. But it was unexpected.
I believe that Leighton can improve, though, in future works. I can see her becoming an author that will sit up in the ranks with others like SE Hall or Ashley Suzanne. She has talent, that’s for sure.
I just didn’t feel connected to the characters like I do with other books. And that’s the reason I’m giving this novel four stars. I think, though, that the next book she writes, which is going to be about Tristen, Ryder’s best friend, that I will definitely connect with him. There’s something mysterious about him, and I want to find out what it is… We are introduced to Tristen in Sinfully, and we learn secrets about him that make you just want to snuggle with him.
I must say, the plot of this book is quite original. I haven’t read one like this before and I really enjoyed it. I would recommend this to everyone, and I hope that you enjoy it like I did. Great job, Leighton!

4.5 SINFUL STARS!

This book was sinfully delicious and really different from any book I have ever read. I really enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone who likes romance, mystery and some seriously steamy scenes!

Ryder has a publishing company. He happens to stumble across an erotic book by the author Reece Edwards about sexual encounters in Vegas with various men and wants to find her. He just knows she is going to be the next BIG thing.

On his journey to San Diego to find this writer, he meets Payton. Payton is a writer of children's books. She did happen to write one steamy book under a ghost writer name but only her BFF Chloe knows about it so her secret should be safe, right? Well Payton has a stalker who knows her secret and will do anything to get her.

As they get to know each other, Payton and Ryder get close, feelings start to develop, lines are blurred, and secrets are threatened to be revealed. Ryder is still searching for Reece and Payton is trying to keep her secret safe from Ryder.

When Ryder finds out who she is, he thinks he has won the jackpot. But he is so wrong! When secrets are revealed, both Payton and Ryder get hurt but love has a way of setting the record straight and bringing people back together. As they both try to move on from their intense, rapid feelings with other people, they know it will not be accomplished.

Will Ryder get Payton back? Will Ryder find out who Reece is? Who is stalking Payton.. is it Ryder or someone else? Will Payton and Ryder get the HEA that these two deserve?

I LOVED the mystery and secrets in the book. Normally I want to shake the crap out of characters hiding things but I think it added something to this book. I mean once the stalker secret was discovered and revealed, it was a big WTF moment... I didn't see that coming at the end.

I loved Ryder. He was sweet, charming, sexy, and a total dirty boy who could talk dirty to me anytime. I also liked Payton. She felt broken and cursed. I admired her strength and resiliency. Both of these characters had been closed off but when you find that one it is like the steel walls that have been built burst wide open. The chemistry between these two was OFF THE CHARTS!

I can't wait for Tristan's story and I'm hoping Chloe and possibly Tate will get one too! :)

Read this book! It is hot, steamy, sexy, quirky and totally original!

**4.5 Stars**

Judging by the title I figured I would get sucked into this book and I did!!

Ryder is a successful publisher always looking for the his next new author. He doesn’t just want any author, but someone “edgy”. He finally finds one, Reece Edwards, that he is very interested in and emails her an amazing offer. He never hears a response back. He is determined to meet this author and get her signed so he sets off to San Diego to find her.

Payton is a self published author. Payton didn’t have the best childhood and that has made her decide not to let hardly anyone get close to her. She loves to have sex, but she has her set of rules for the men she’s with. The main one is to not get attached. She travels to Vegas often and when she’s in Vegas she has flings with men that are in town on business. She decided to write about her sexual encounters using a pen name that is not known to anyone but her best friend, Chloe. Or does someone else know? Payton has been receiving mysterious notes from someone who seems to be watching her.

“All alone in this suite.
What a shame don’t you think?”

Ryder and Payton first cross paths during a kickboxing class that Ryder went to in search of Reece. They end up going to Starbucks afterwards and there is a definite attraction and insane chemistry between the two. They continue to hang out and their feelings towards each grow stronger. This scares Payton and of course leads to lots of drama, passionate encounters and running away on Payton’s part. I was so surprised to find out who was sending Payton those letters. I was not expecting that at all!

For a debut novel, I think Leighton did a great job! This was a quick and fun read. The characters were great and the sex scenes were HOT! The only thing that kept me from give the full 5 stars is that I wish there was a little more action throughout the book. (Not just sexually. Get your mind out of the gutter!) Leighton is definitely an author I look forward to reading more from in the future. I am recommending this one.

After hearing the title of this novel, I knew that I would absolutely love it!

Ryder is a successful publisher, who is always looking to find the next big author and next best seller. Ryder does not want a simple, sophisticated author. He wants someone with edge, who also has is professional. Reece Edwards captivates Ryder from the beginning. She thrills him so much that he emails her an incredible offer to publish her book with his company. When he never gets a response back, he flies to San Diego to find her and get her to change her mind.

Payton is a self-published author. She has had a rough childhood and never lets anyone get close enough to her to hurt her ever again. One thing Payton does love is sex. In order for her to enjoy this, she only has one rule, do not get attached. In order for her to fulfill this need, she frequently travels to Las Vegas. Once there, she meets up with men who are generally there on business. After realizing and thinking about all of her encounters in Vegas, she decides to write a book about them. She writes under a pen name, Reece Edwards. This proves to be dangerous after someone mysteriously starts sending her notes.

“All alone in this suite.
What a shame don’t you think?”

Payton and Ryder meet each other for the first time in a kickboxing class. Ryder went to this class with the hopes of finding Reece, instead he finds Payton. After the class they end up going to Starbucks where the instance attraction and chemistry is shown. As they continue to hang out with each other, there feelings for each other grow stronger. This causes Payton to run away due to her being scared.

For a debut novel, Leighton did a phenomenal job! The sex scenes were hot and had me constantly wanting more! I will definitely be reading more from Leighton in the future as well as rereading this book! This is a 5 star read for me!

I received this book free for my honest review.

Sinfully is the first book I have read by Leighton Riley and will certainly not be the last. In this book we meet Ryder and Payton. Ryder runs a publishing company. He has come across a book written by Reece Edwards and he really wants to sign her on. Reece is a carefree women who writes about her trips to Vegas and her nights filled with men. Ryder goes to San Diego to find Reece but before he can he meets Payton.

Payton writes children's books, well except the one she wrote under the pen name Reece Edwards. Her best friend Chloe is the only one that knows about this book and she plans to keep it this way. She has no intentions on meeting with Mr. R Storm for her to get her book published no matter how hard he tries to meet with her. Payton has a disappointing childhood, and doesn't allow people to get close. Of course, that is until she meets Ryder. She feels that there is just something about him that she finds appealing. Payton has been receiving stalking letters that are signed with and "R". Going to Vegas is just what Payton needs to get Ryder out of her system. While in Vegas she gets another letter. Ryder also shows up and reveals his true identity and tells her he knows who she really is. Payton sends him packing and the letters stop. After several months she gets another letter and goes to confront Ryder. He explains that never sent them and would never give up her true identity. Ryder and Payton must face losses from there past so that they can move forward to a future together. The stalker has other plans for Payton. The author had me guessing who it might be. I have to say I did not see that one coming. This book is a definite must read and I would recommend it.

When i first saw the cover i thought to myself i HAVE to read this book. I'm glad i really enjoyed it.
Ryder!! Ryder is a publisher and always looking for the next best seller. He comes across Reece Edwards hot book about her adventures in Las Vegas. He wants her not to just sign but also wants to know if all her adventures are real. When he receives no contact back, he decides to take a trip and find her with nothing to go on but her name and city; San Diego. He never counted on meeting Payton there and the feelings she would bring him
Payton has been through a lot that most can never even fathom. She doesn't let people get close to her for fear of them being ripped away. She has her close friend and that is it. Payton self published under a pen name and never dreamed someone would love her story enough to want to publish it. When life gets to hard she escapes to Las Vegas as Reece Edwards. Payton also has to deal with a Stalker sending her letters which she tries to deal with privately till she thinks its Ryder who is sending them. I did not see the real stalker being who they were!
Payton and Ryders story isn't cupcakes and sunshine. They have to overcome a lot to be with each other. False accusations and poor communication is what puts a halt to their relationship. For a debut novel i really enjoyed it. I gave it 4 stars because for some of the book i found it slow and wanting something anything to happen. With that being said i can not wait for more from this author and Tristens story!!

Oh what a tangled little web this book weaves...so to say. I was given a copy of Sinfully from the author for an honest review and to say that this book was a cute romance novel would not be doing it correctly.

The book starts out with the male lead Ryder finding a book written by an author named Reece Edwards who he wants to sign for his publishing company. Well Reece's real name is Payton and she is an author of childrens books also has a little secret she writes about her escapades on her trip to Las Vegas under her pen name Reece Edwards are you with me here? You know what they say "What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas" well not when your writing your hot little details for the public to read girlfriend!

So the search begins for Ryder to find Ms. Edwards to get her to go with his company only who he finds is Payton. From here on this is where the book really starts to take off and the relationship between Ryder and Payton goes full speed ahead.

There is mystery along with suspense in this book and with pasts that haunt both Ryder and Payton and together they must face decided if they can have a future together.

Every woman that has ever had that 'creepy feeling' down your neck, can relate with this book! What do you do if you are being stalked? Do you take it seriously or is it just playful fun? Payton doesn't know what to make of the scary mystery letters, but can she figure it out before it's too late?

I liked this story line from page one and loved the steamy erotic scenes that Payton has throughout the book! Payton and Ryder's spark left me feeling the heat and I couldn't wait to see how their relationship would work out. This book was exceptional in the details it provided with character development and I was sad to see the book end. I will be excited to hear about Tristen's story and hopefully happy ending *wink*wink*!

This book was given to me in exchange for an honest review. This book took me on a wild ride of seduction, but what kept me interested was the dual lives of Payton. Payton was a children's author by day, but could be a wild woman at night. In fact she often goes to Vegas to get her "wild" on. What she doesn't see happening is Ryder blasting into her world and making her question her choice to not have a relationship. Ryder is on a mission to find an elusive writer that he wants to sign for his publishing company. It brings him in contact with Payton, he is interested immediately. This novel leads the reader on a merry chase that is Payton's strange (but normal to her) life. Can Ryder break through Payton's barriers and make her see she needs him? Throw in some old loves, a best friend, and a crazy stalker and you have a novel you can't put down.

This was quite different book from other books I have read. It was related to books and I love when the characters talk bout books and see a publisher and author relationship. The characters fell in love too soon but I still loved how they went on with it. The author have written this mystery in such a way that you can't guess what's going to happen next. I loved the story line and it's really good for the debut author. If you love sweet, hot guy ---because guys reading books are hot and an author love story you are going to love it!
The pace-Perfect
The cover-I like it!
Plot line-mysterious/you will keep turning the pages
Characters- realistic is what I loved a lot!!

What I loved about this book is that there seemed to be so much going on, so it was a fast-paced read. Nothing makes me happier than finishing a book in a day.

I wasn't exactly keen to Ryder, I actually thought he was a woman when I first started reading. The thoughts he had about the book just came off as what a female would say, not a man. Once the story started moving along I warmed up to him and the loss he has suffered.

I loved Riley/Reece!! She has had a pretty rough life and the escapades she had I think help her escape for awhile. She is a strong person regardless of her past and her future can only get brighter!

I would recommend and plan to starting reading Regretfully soon!

Ryder is a sort of a HOT "book geek"...Peyton is leading double lives..Ryder starts off wanting to help publish her book ..but ends up wanting so much more..You find out so much about these characters and their journey..their back story .some ups and downs ..some good and some bad..They each have their own issues and struggles..as they come together they help each other through them..took me a bit to really get into it..but as they come together..and things get more heated it really flowed well.. . was a good solid read..with steam.. Card game anyone? HOTNESS..

Loved this debut novel from Leighton Riley. Wish the next two were available right now! A few of the things I Loved- Assertive Female lead, strong characters with well developed back stories, real insecurities that "normal" people experience, her smooth transitions from sexy, flirty & funny into intense, and lots of hot men and steamy sex scenes ;) Ps. I have to go to Pinterest Right NOW to find those desserts! (<< You will understand after you read.)

4 out of 5 Sinfully Sexy, Letting Go, Passionate Stars!

[image error] photo SinfullyTeaser_zpsaea782bd.jpeg

I really enjoyed the whole concept of this book. The erotic romance writer who writes under a pen name and refuses every offer that a particular publisher keeps offering her. Her stories are her own and doesn't want the public to know about it. Oh, and said publisher is a hunky man, who will stop at nothing to find and sign this new author. Hmm...sign me up! The mysterious vibe of the unknown, faceless writer is very alluring and also very relatable today. There are plenty of authors out there that use pen names and don't provide a picture, so I can totally see something like this actually happening. Ryder meets Payton on his search/stalker mission to find Reece (Payton's pen name), and instantly becomes enamored by her. They both stir up all kinds of emotions in one another, but as the reader we know that Ryder will eventually find out who she is and she will find out he is the publisher looking to sign her. When all the secret identities are revealed, emotional mayhem is sure to commence. It's like a car crash, you know it will be ugly, but you can't look away.

"I wasn't going to just swing by and let her know that I figured out who she really was. That would be too easy and I wanted to see her in action to really see how 'Reece' was when she was in Vegas. Payton and Reece were two very different individuals and I was curious to see which side I liked more." -Ryder

As you can guess, Payton writes about her steamy hook-ups with men when she travels to Vegas. She has her own set of hefty emotional luggage she lugs around, which is why she steers clear of any real connections with men. She only does the casual, friendly hook-ups with guys and never in her hometown, only in Vegas. Payton's newfound emotions towards Ryder both excites her and terrifies her. They quite literally scare her straight back to Vegas. She goes to escape those feelings in hope that she can forget them, even if its just for a little while. She had no idea that her escape to Vegas would turn into a hot mess of unexpected craziness.

"Was she planning on being intimate with other guys? The thought made my stomach churn. I hated that I was falling for the chick but felt the need to be close to her all the damn time. Fucking pussy." -Ryder

Payton ends up needing to escape from her escape. She got way more than she bargained for when she got there--old hook-up looking for a repeat, drunken soon-to-be husband, surprise visit from Ryder, creepy stalker note to her hotel room, and identities revealed. Man, I would runaway too after all drama.

"Giving up on boys and turning into a lesbian or a nun seemed more appealing than it had a few hours before. I hated that I liked cock so much. Stupid penises and the men attached to them." -Payton

Well we have all considered turning into a nun at one point or turning to the ladies instead, but unfortunately it never sticks. Payton's drama with men is not the only thing that await her when she gets back home, there is another mysterious element thrown in there as well. Payton and Ryder both have a troubled past that seems to get in the way of what promises to be a strong and passionate connection. Two stubborn individuals who would rather suffer in silence, then give in to what they most desire. The aggravation was thick and the frustrated air punching was running rampant during this part. Who's ego will break first? Will they find out who is behind all the mysterious letters showing up where ever she goes? Has too much time gone by for them to salvage what they had to begin with? Will they finally let each other in and air their dirty laundry? How can Payton turn off her insta-flight feelings when things get serious? Lots of question marks right? Well, everything gets answered one way or another.

"I knew I would mess it up somehow. I knew distance. I knew how to walk away. What I didn't know was how to stay." -Payton

I was pleased with the storyline and the character development was great. The secondary characters were intriguing, and Leighton Riley successfully laid the foundation for the next book. I know that the second book in this series, which will be Tristen's story, is going to desperately pull at my heart strings. I could already feel his heart break and troubled soul from just reading this book. The emotional connection was good, characters were fun and charismatic, and the mystery element was nicely implemented. We didn't have to wait too long for their identities to be revealed, but that wasn't the only mysterious element in the story, so that successfully kept me reading. I would definitely recommend this book to my fellow readers out there.

This is one of those books that make me wish we could rate ½ stars. I can’t in good conscience rate it at 3, but I am not sure it’s quite 4 either. I’d say it’s between 3 ½ and 3 ¾. Maybe my expectations were high, because I really liked the author’s blurb.

Payton grew up in foster care. Her biological father is in prison for murdering her mother. She was always the kid that was skipped over, because of her past. She was finally adopted and felt stable. She found a best friend, Chloe, and everything was fine until her adoptive parents died. Since then, she’s been afraid of creating any last relationships out of fear. She is convinced that everyone will leave her. Chloe is really the only constant in her life. She did try to have a relationship once, but it didn’t go well. Since then, she’s decided to make a trip to Vegas whenever she needs a little R&R or sex. She writes children’s books, but decided to write a self-published book about all of her Las Vegas sexual encounters under the name Reece Edwards. She’s gotten emails from a big publishing company, but she has no desire to get her secret book published. One disturbing thing is the strange letters she’s been receiving at her home (with no postage) indicating that they know who she is. They are always sealed with a wax ‘R’.

Ryder is a successful publisher, but he’s been bored with most of the books that he’s run across lately. A friend recommended Reece’s book and he was surprisingly captivated. He contacted her and offered her a huge contract, but heard no response. Even though he doesn’t know much about Reece, he was able to find her on Facebook and thinks she’s living in San Diego and enjoys kickboxing. He’s decided to take a trip to San Diego to see if he can find her and convince her to let him publish her book.

Ryder meets Payton at a kickboxing class and they click. Ryder doesn’t know that Payton is really Reece and Payton doesn’t know that Ryder is looking for her. Neither Payton nor Ryder is looking for a relationship, but they still feel drawn to the other. After a family tragedy, Ryder has been closed off to a lot of the things he used to love and Payton helps him open up again.

After one of the most intimate (without sex) nights of his life, Ryder finds Payton gone. She’s left him a note and he figures out that Payton is Reece. He goes to Vegas to find her and after a night of emotional sex, Payton figures out that Ryder knows that she is Reece. When Ryder opens up, Payton realizes that Ryder is her stalker and kicks him out. She wants nothing to do with him.

After the Vegas encounter, Ryder goes back to LA and leaves Payton alone, but can’t get her out of his mind. She can’t get Ryder out of her head either, but she can’t be with him when he’s done everything he has. When the letters get more and more threatening, she has to take action.

Is Ryder really the stalker? If not, who is? Can these two get past all of their issues and be together?

Obviously, you can see how this has the potential to really suck you in. The idea was brilliant. The build-up was great. I got really sucked into both of these characters and I loved the first “date” after the kickboxing class. I guess my biggest problem was that there seemed to be a lot going on and a lot of minor characters were introduced just to make you suspicious (my guess). We were able to learn just enough about these minor characters that you become invested in them and I find myself wondering what happens to them. Is this the end of the road? Will more stories be written? If this is the 1st in a series, I can absolutely understand introducing all of these people. If not, we learned way too much about these people. Also, Payton and Ryder didn’t spend enough time together. I found myself wanting more here.

As this is (I believe) Leighton Riley’s first book, I feel obligated to say she is a writer to watch. If she wasn’t already planning to give us more on these characters, maybe she’ll read this and go in that direction. ;-) Either way, the idea behind this is great. I find myself bored or disliking characters in so many books nowadays that wanting more says some very positive things about her!

Sinfully by Leighton Riley is not your typical romance. I loved Ryder's character and how different he was then the usual alpha males that I often encounter in books. He wasn't a bad boy rocker starting to reform, a military guy just out of the service, a CEO of a multi-million dollar company, a lawyer or a biker. He was a book editor, who loved to read and had a passion for finding the next unknown author, hoping to make them into a best-selling author. Payton wasn't your typical heroine either. She was an author herself, of children's book, but she wasn't the girl next door who was jaded hoping to find her one true love and settle down to have a family. She loved to fly to Vegas on a whim and meet new people, specifically guys that would sometimes lead to one night hook-ups, each encounter different from the next. The scheer fact that these characters were so different from anything I had read before had me yearning to turn each page as I read to see what would transpire between these two. This book was a 3.5 star read for me and I would recommend it to other's looking for a romance story with a twist.

"Sometimes in the waves of change we find our true direction."

Ryder was tipped off to an indie author who self published a book that was making its mark on Amazon. After reading a couple of chapters he was hooked and he continued to think about the story long after he turned the last page. He made it his mission to find Reece, the author of this erotic novel, a tale of a woman's escapades in sin city, and sign her to his publishing company. Without any knowledge to go on, aside from knowing that she resided in San Diego and that she probably was an avid kick boxer, he packed a bag, hopped a flight and went in search of this unknown author. He met Payton during a kick boxing class at a local gym he thought he may find Reece at and was drawn to her instantly. They spent the day having coffee, talking, walking on the beach and even made plans to have dinner together. Payton thought this was her chance for a sexual encounter without strings, encounters that she normally reserved for when she went to Vegas. Little did she know that a no-strings attached encounter was the farthest thing that would take place between her and Ryder.

"Not anymore, babe. We have scars from our past but we aren't broken anymore"

Ryder was dealing with the loss of his twin sister Cami to a tragic surfing accident, one that kept him from his best friend and the water for the last ten months. It was only being in San Diego looking for Reece that he finally was able to get in touch with Tristen to start the healing process that was long over-due. Though Payton was never far from his mind, he was determined to find this author who all but told him she wasn't interesting in signing with his company. After an encounter with Payton where she left him a note telling him goodbye signing it Sinfully, he began to piece together that the woman who he couldnt get out of his head and the author he was searching for where in fact the same person. Following her to Vegas where she goes to shed herself of her growing thoughts and feelings for Ryder, he lets her know that he is aware of who she is, in a not so comforting way. The aftermath is one of anger and resentment from Payton, thinking that Ryder only wanted to be with the brazen girl from the stories, as well as being the stalker who kept sending her cryptic notes, both which couldn't have been farther from the truth.

The story continues with Payton and Ryder apart, dating other people while always thinking of each other. The reader is hopeful the entire time that they will find their way back to each other, because apart they are slightly broken, but together they are whole.

I struggle to write most reviews , I am clearly not a writer !! I am very torn with this book , I honestly loved the very beginning and the last bit of the story but there was just a lot going on in the middle and I was annoyed because I felt confused with the point of some characters. Feeling they either needed more about them or not to be there at all. The storyline was intriguing and the book hooked me from the start. Reece Edwards writing about her thrilling adventures in Vegas , captivating none other than Ryder Strom the phenomenal publisher who plans to go out of his way to find and sign Reece. A different approach to a story with some promises of HOT SEX and fun had me flying through the first bits of the story.

Payton writes under a pen name because she does not want anyone making the connection to her stories she has written as Reece since they are real. She had a rough childhood , losing her parents as an infant and then her adoptive parents as a 13 year old. The only real family she has and trusts is her best friend Chloe and her parents. Chloe knows Payton's secret but is she the only one ?? Payton thought she was but lately she has been getting some weird letters and it is very creepy not knowing who they are from. Payton enjoys her time in Vegas and from the glimpses she gives us , especially of her and Tate , you can tell she is having some phenomenal sex !! This is her way of staying detached and it has worked up until now. Ryder comes along and she is finding a chemistry with him they enjoy their time together but she has no clue he is the publisher trying to get her to sign and at first he has no clue she is actually Reece. What happens when the truth comes out ? Can Payton let Ryder in or will she risk the chance of happiness ??

Ryder is living the life as a great publisher able to get just about anyone and anything he wants. He is super hot and has woman falling at his feet. He suffered a great loss not even a year ago and because of this he has lost contact with his best friend. In the midst of trying to track down Reece Edwards, Ryder meets Payton and instantly falls for her !! He also has the chance to meet with Tristen and we finally hear of his pain and suffering and thankfully watch Ryder and Tristen begin to heal while they mend their friendship.

This all makes for a great story-
But all of a sudden we have Payton in Vegas , Tate is there wanting more , Ryder shows up and throws Payton for a loop ,she finally gives into him and he blows her cover sending her running to Tate. Yes very messy and crazy which is good but once Payton takes off Ryder goes home and starts a whole new life basically. He has a new "friend" Kylie and he just gives up on Payton ?? Meanwhile Payton is miserable and Chloe is trying to get her to date. This is where I was lost and found myself skimming. Tate is a super hot character in the book and I would have loved more from him but he kind of just came and went. I honestly just wanted Payton and Ryder's story. I did not need any of this other confusion. The only thing that kept me reading was the desire to know who was writing those letters and if Ryder was going to grow a set and go to Payton !!

Without spoiling I just want to say once one of them decides to confront the other I am back in the story and it is great. Payton and Ryder's journey to being a couple is great to read and when you find out who wrote those damn letters you will be blown away !! I know I was !! I was happy with the ending and very pleased to see we will get someone elses story soon !!

So yes I recommend this book , it was a quick read for me and I am curious to see what others thought !!

Meg's Review:
I really enjoyed this novel. I was gifted it for an honest review. I saw the cover and synopsis and knew it was right up my alley and it did not disappoint.

"I didn't want any of that happily ever after bullshit. Finding new talent used to be easy for me, and I really needed to get a handle on things"

Ryder is on the hunt for this author and is determined  to get a meeting and sign her to his publishing house.

Peyton is a Self-Published author that never thought her book would get read. She is also publishing under a different name. No one knows who really wrote this book, well no one but her mysterious mailer. She is getting letters that seem to show someone is watching her.

Ryder meets Peyton at a gym he was scouting to try to find this "Author".  After an interesting Kick-Boxing class  Peyton and Ryder really hit it off. The story develops from there, and though I had an idea where it was going it was quite the hot read.

"You think you know me so well, huh? When I take you, I am going to make you scream so loud the neighbors will know my name" - Ryder

This was a relatively quick read, and was quite enjoyable. Leighton's hot and steamy scenes definitely had me on my toes.  I would have liked to have a little more depth in the story and maybe a curve ball or two, but all in all it was great. I really enjoyed reading it and will definitely read more from this author.
Synopsis:
***Warning 18+ only due to mature subject matter and strong sexual content***
Payton wrote a self-published book regaling her encounters with men while visiting Las Vegas. To her horror, life changes in more ways than one when someone finds out her true identity.

Ryder, a successful publisher, is determined to find and sign Reece Edwards. Using what little information he can find on her, he sets out to find her, feeling it will definitely be worth the chase.

While on his search for Reece, Ryder meets Payton and the chemistry is explosive. Payton has done well with not allowing anyone to get close to her, but something is different with Ryder. Ryder can’t get Payton out of his head, but he is still on his mission to locate Reece.

With two tragic pasts, Payton and Ryder each have demons to overcome. Will they be able to put those demons to rest or will it be all for nothing?

Review for Sinfully by Leighton Riley

I read the synopsis for Sinfully by Leighton Riley and I was instantly excited to give this book a read. It sounded like it would be a sexy read with a bit of mystery thrown into the mix. I wasn’t disappointed on either of those fronts. Leighton did a really great job of weaving the mystery into the storyline and I suspect many readers will be left scratching their heads over ‘who done it’ I had it figured out pretty quick, but that is kind of my curse. Call me a jaded book whore, but I am so very rarely stumped by a mystery in a book these days that I don’t even consider it in my ranking anymore.

This book follows a big-wig publisher who is hot on the trails of what he sees as the next big author — Reece. She is a total mystery. Keeping to herself and managing her fans and all sales/publicity via social media and other online resources. Ryder isn’t going to accept no for an answer. So with the very limited information that Reece has provided about herself he hops in his car and heads to San Diego to hunt her down.

Payton writes children's books, lives a mostly solitary life by choice because she has a past filled with events she would rather never chance to have repeat. She has a total of one real friend and that is because she is stubborn and absolutely refuses to let Payton shut her out. Payton is lonely… but to stave off that feeling she has weekend getaways to Vegas where she lets loose and meets men that are just perfect for right now. No strings. No expectations. No attachments. Just a good time followed with a smile and a goodbye. Until him.

The chemistry between Ryder and Payton is instantaneous and combustable. I really enjoyed how the chase unfolded between the two… even though they frustrated me several times throughout the book. I found Ryder to be quite likable in his interactions with other characters, when it came to his inner thoughts I thought he came up lacking and there were several scenes that I skimmed his thoughts because they didn’t feel like it was coming from a male POV.

Payton was a character that I could relate to, she was a bit frustrating just because of her wishy-washy attitude towards relationships and also the very blasé way she dealt with the mysterious parts of the book. I really felt like she downplayed everything for so long in the book that when she finally decided to act on things it was a bit unbelievable that what made her react actually did. (I know that’s really vague, but I don’t want to spoil it…)

There are also a few of the smutty scenes that the inner thoughts of the characters slightly spoiled the sexiness of it for me, but overall they were good. The supporting characters are all quite interesting, but there are times that I felt the author was adding more characters just to throw in the possibility of someone else to be the ‘who done it’ person.

All in all the read was a good one, it gets THREE stars for storyline and FOUR wet panties for the smut factor.

I always say, “Oh yeah, this review will be short and sweet”, but it ends up being a page long. I’m serious with this one… I have to make myself keep this short and sweet.

This book is the perfect storm of romance, passion, mystery, and suspense. It’s angsty and will have you squirming. The storyline will grab you and not let go. It’s HOT. It’s just…there are so many words! SO MANY WORDS!

This book is a fantastic debut novel. It doesn’t read like a debut novel. The writing is so good. The descriptions, the dialogue, the storyline. It all feels as if you’re reading work from an experienced author. It’s amazing that it’s Leighton’s first try at this, and I think it was an unbelievable beginning to her career.

I feel a bit biased with my review because Leighton is a good friend of mine, but I know that as a blogger, it’s my duty to be honest with you. So here’s my honesty. I hated the ending. I liked this book SO much and was completely into it…until the ending. Did it change how I felt about the book as a whole? Well no, of course not. You can’t deny how great the writing is or how enthralling Payton and Ryder’s story is. But it definitely changed how I felt when I finished. And I hate that because I wanted to walk away 100% loving it. I can honestly say, I walked away enjoying 99% of it.

Overall, I highly suggest this novel. It’s got a bit of everything we all love and expect from our romance novels. I can’t wait to see what Leighton has in store for Tristen in book 2.

Honestly, I’m not sure how I feel about this book. The story idea was really good, the writing was good but it was the way it was put together that I didn’t like. Its from both of the main characters POVs and I usually like that, but for Sinfully it didn’t work.

I think the main issue on why it didn’t work was the jumping of the timeline. In my opinion, it would have been better as 2 books. One from Ryder’s POV and the other from Payton’s. That way, when the timeline skipped in one of their POV’s and not the others, it wouldn’t have mattered. The timeline would jump in one POV and not the others, within the same chapter.

In my opinion, this book still needs work. It has good bones to it. But just needs some work. The ending didn’t make sense. I actually felt it was awkward and forced and then turned cruel. And then just stopped. It just ended.

I was given this book for my honest review.

What do you get when you bring one erotica author together with a publisher that knows you’re the one for him but doesn’t know who you are? In my opinion you get perfection.

Ryder-publisher extraordinaire, sexy as a walking lollipop

Payton (Reese)-adventurous, scared, calm and the girl next door sort of, did I mention author?

Ryder is the guy that does not think he is all that. He is the guy that is tired of the bar scenes and the one night stands. He wants more but is afraid to admit it. When he reads books he just reads to read them but coming across that one book that he isn’t able to put down is a rarity for him. He starts reading this book thinking “oh only a chapter or two” but to his surprise he is sucked in not only by the pages that are written but by the wanting.

Payton aka Reese in the writing world is a writer that knows about the written word. All her books are about her real life experiences she feels no need to hide about how she gets the books to come out of thin air. She only decides that her pen-name be the one that experiences it all or does she?

The search is on for the next big hit. Payton and Ryder’s journey is one for the books that every man and woman will want to read about. To find love after both being hurt by unexplainable forces in their past this couple comes together in one explosive heartwarming yet sexual explosion.

Payton and Ryder have been hurt in the past there is no explaining it for this reviewer other than to say you have to pick up this book to find out the how and the why? Can this couple make it to find there happily ever after? Does this couple get over the hurdles that lie within almost every turn? Does Ryder find that next big hit of a writer? Does he find Reese? Does Ryder fall for the one girl with the sexual appetite that cannot be tamed or can it?

This author did one amazing job with this book. It has the mystery, the suspense, the love, the hot hot sex, the caring and the sensual feeling of calmness. This book even popped. It also left me wondering what if? For that answer you have to look with in the book itself. You’re an amazing writer that brings out the best and the worst in Ryder and Payton and also what has yet to come.

Ryder Storm is a book publisher and is always searching for the next big thing. He has become infatuated with signing, or at least meeting, Reece Edwards. Reece Edwards has independently published a book that is about her experiences in Vegas. Ryder believes that Reece has what it takes to take her writing to the next level with his publishing company.
Reece Edwards, a.k.a Payton, is an independent children’s book writer who decided to take control of her own life and happiness. She has had a rough life up to this point, and is not looking for commitment or a relationship of any kind. Which is why she starts going to Vegas for short trips and during those trips she becomes someone else. She is in control of who she meets and how her night ends up. She likes to be able to have fun for a night and then walk away no string attached. The only person that Reece let’s close to her is her friend Chloe.
After trying to get Reece to respond to him through email, Ryder finally decides to go to San Diego to find her. What he finds instead is Peyton. When they first meet it is in a kickboxing class and let’s just say, chemistry was evident from the first encounter. That chance meeting led to a place where neither Peyton nor Ryder could get the other out of their mind no matter what they did.
Ryder has his own tragedies in his life as well. He has one true friend, Tristen, that lives in San Diego as well so when he is there trying to locate Reece he reconnects with his friend as well.
This book has so much going on; you have friendship, love, drama, comedy, suspense, intrigue, HOT SEX, and many secrets to be revealed. Leighton Riley does a great job of hooking the reader right from the beginning of the book and the author keeps you on your toes until the very end. It is evident that you are going to have some sort of love story from the beginning, but all of the back story; the erotic author, a stalker, Ryder’s past and friendship with Tristan, I had never seen coming. I enjoyed every minute of this book and can’t wait for Leighton’s next release, Tristen’s story.

Ryder and Payton will make you spin in this one. Ryder is looking for a new author to sign. When he heads to San Diego to try to meet with her. He ends up meeting Payton at the gym, and they have a nice day after. The attraction between them is electric. Neither of them have felt this way about another person. They end up eventually sharing a night together, but then Payton runs off to Vegas to think and get away. Ryder wakes up to a note from her but it's signed the same way his mysterious author signs every email... Sinfully!??

This has Ryder's mind spinning did he really have Reece in front of him this whole time and didn't even know it? Did she run off to Vegas to get more research for her next book, which was all about sex? That only left him to one decision find her! He couldn't let her go now, he feels something and he didn't want to believe that Reece is Payton.

After finding her in Vegas, they made love and he called out the wrong name. She was shocked, he knew her secret. The only thing Payton could think of was her stalker, and that it was him. Payton was angry, hurt, and confused. She told him to get out! He ruined her Vegas, and now she had to run again to find another happy place.

A few months pass, her stalker is still sending letters, and all the dates her best friend Cami set's her up on fail. Nothing can compare to the sparks she has with Ryder. Ryder is in a somewhat relationship, but she's not Payton. She not long term, she's sex at the end of the day.

Ryder is back in town to see his friend, and they are both at the zoo at the same time. Peyton spots him and hides but little does she know Ryder seen her. Peyton gets the balls to say enough is enough and heads to LA to see him. When she walks in his office to throw the stalker's letter at his desk he is just as shocked to see her. He tells her it isn't him, and now's he's ticked off. Their relationship takes a turn and they start to make it work but there is one problem... Payton still has a stalker out there, and they are closer than anyone of them realizes. When they head back to San Diego to have dinner with Cami, everything takes a turn for the worst.
