From the author of Gorgeous Lies comes the next book in the Harding Brothers Series. Sweet Nothings isan Angsty, Marriage of Convenience/Arranged Marriage, Billionaire Romance.

Lennon Harding, heir to his father’s billionaire law firm, could have had anyone.
But he chose me.
Well. . . not quite.

On my nineteenth birthday, he whispered sweet nothings into my ear.
Six years later, while his family tried to screw over mine, he’d looked at me as if we’d never met.
Now, at his father’s funeral, Lennon learns inheriting the Harding legacy won’t come without a price.

So, when he proposes the idea of me becoming his wife, I’m quick to turn him down.
I’m no stranger to being used, and Lennon’s proposal is no different, but when tragic news hits my family, I’m suddenly sprinting to meet him at the altar.

Because I desperately need him now, almost as much as he needs me.

But the more we settle into our roles of husband and wife, the harder I find it to ignore the feelings of our past reigniting.
The way his lips feel against mine.
The way his hands easily wander without thought.
And before long, I’m starting to wonder if his whispers of sweet nothings have always meant as much to him as they have to me.

But with a heart as dark as his, that isn’t possible . . . is it?

Once again Brittany Taylor pulls hard on the heartstrings. This second Harding Brother story is every bit as emotional and beautifully written as book 1.

Lennon and Laurel went through so much heartache and seeing their love help them heal was a beautiful thing ❤️‍🩹

4.5 Stars!

After reading Gorgeous Lies, I knew without a doubt that I had to get my hands on the next book in the Harding Brothers series, and let me tell you, Brittany Taylor does not disappoint. Sweet Nothings is a must-read marriage of convenience/second chance romance that will tug at your heartstrings and leave you with all the feels.

When Laurel and Lennon met on her 19th birthday, they were drawn together like magnets. Who knew a simple car ride would become passion and whispered sweet nothings? It will be six years before Lennon and Laurel are reunited and unfortunately for Laurel, Lennon acts closed off and cold; like he doesn’t even know her. That moment would spawn Laurel’s hatred for Lennon.

Sweet Nothings captured my attention from the very first page. I loved learning how Lennon and Laurel met and how everything tragically went wrong. Laurel is fierce and will do anything to help those she loves. She’s no stranger to heartache and will protect her heart at all costs…On the outside, Lennon appears to be cruel and black-hearted. But, there is so much more to him than meets the eye. Beneath the facade he puts on for everyone, is a man with a huge heart, who isn’t afraid to go after what he wants and in this case, he’s desperate to win Laurel over. One of my favorite things about Lennon was his willingness to be open with Laurel about his past and bare his soul. I found his vulnerability to be undeniably sexy.

Laurel and Lennon’s chemistry was instant and palpable. Their banter left me hanging on each and every word and made me desperate for their next encounter. I could tell from the very beginning that despite their marriage being one of convenience, Laurel and Lennon’s feelings ran deeper than either of them realized. I loved watching them grow together as a couple, become vulnerable with each other, and navigate their way through everything that life threw at them.

Sweet Nothings is one of those reads that will leave you thinking about it long after you reach the end. The characters are real, relatable, and perfectly flawed. This story is filled with romance, longing, and heartache. It has just the right amount of angst and drama and never felt over the top. If you love swoon-worthy marriage of convenience and second-chance romances, you won’t want to miss Sweet Nothings. I for one can not wait to see what this author will bring to the table next.

Overall, this was a pretty good read! It was quick & easy and I really enjoyed the main characters as well! Laurel was so strong, fierce & protective of the people she loved. She would do absolutely anything for her sister & you see it throughout the story. I loved Lennon as well. He went through so much & you get to see and understand why he has such a dark & tough exterior but I loved seeing how he changed with Laurel & how she brought out the best in him. Their chemistry was really good 🤌🏼

I will say I wish there had been more angst in the story. I wish we had gotten more “enemies to lovers” & more hate between the two (since she’s supposed to hate him for supposedly not remembering their one night together). I didn’t feel like there was a lot of or enough tension between them & everything just kind of fell into place too easily & quickly accepting of their arrangement but that’s just me & overall, I still enjoyed it!

Tropes:
- Marriage of convenience
- Billionaire romance
- Forced proximity
- One night stand

"Sweet Nothings" by Brittany Taylor is an engaging romance that explores themes of family legacy, trust, and the complexities of arranged marriages. The novel centers on Lennon Harding and Laurel Branford, two individuals from prominent Boston families whose lives are intertwined by a surprising stipulation in a will. Lennon Harding, the eldest son of the influential Harding family, is prepared to take over his late father's business. He has been groomed for this role his entire life. However, the reading of his father's will throws a curveball: Lennon must marry within 30 days of his father's passing, and the bride must be either Roe or Laurel Branford. With Roe already married, the only option is Laurel, a woman Lennon shared a meaningful night with years ago at Harvard. Laurel Branford has faced significant challenges, including the loss of her parents in a tragic accident and her brother's embezzlement scandal, which tarnished the Branford name and harmed the family business. Now working at her uncle's law firm, Laurel is struggling to restore her family's reputation while dealing with cases that seem designed to win public favor rather than legal merit.

When Lennon proposes marriage to fulfill his father's will, Laurel is puzzled but sees a potential solution to her financial struggles, especially regarding her sister's needs. Although she believes Lennon doesn't remember their shared night at Harvard, Lennon remembers it vividly and subtly lets her know. As Lennon and Laurel navigate their arranged marriage, they find themselves developing genuine feelings for each other. However, both are wary of fully trusting the other due to their past hurts and the fear of rejection. The novel skillfully portrays their journey as they balance their growing emotional connection with the practicalities and pressures of their families' expectations.

In conclusion, I gave this book 5 stars because Brittany Taylor's writing shines in her portrayal of complex characters and their evolving relationship. The chemistry between Lennon and Laurel is palpable, and their interactions are filled with tension, tenderness, and gradual mutual understanding. The novel effectively captures the nuances of falling in love under unconventional circumstances, highlighting the importance of communication and trust. "Sweet Nothings" is a delightful and heartfelt read that will captivate fans of contemporary romance. Taylor's nuanced storytelling and well-drawn characters make this book a standout in the genre. Readers will be rooting for Lennon and Laurel as they navigate their way from an arranged marriage to a partnership built on love and trust, hoping they will overcome their fears and embrace their true feelings for each other.

4⭐️ 2.5🌶️

really enjoyed this! The story was raw and emotional with flawed & relatable characters that hook you quick. They had banter and chemistry that I ate up and tension from the beginning that morphs into something really sweet.

I loved how Lennon was soft only for her and otherwise was a cold businessman. But once Brittany starts peeling those layers back and you see deeper into his character you can’t help but love him. I also loved all the ways he constantly showed Laurel how he really felt and the caretaking from him was superb. Laurel was so strong and loyal and loved her sister down to her bones. Their relationship gutted me. She works so hard to do anything she can for the ones she loves and Brittany translated that beautifully.

I really loved how they came together with one another and balanced each other so well. They really had a beautiful relationship and their story will stick with me.

Tropes:

- second chance vibes

- one night stand

One of my favorites!

Sweet Nothings
Oh my! This was such a good book!
I love marriage of convenience!
Lennon and Laurel had met randomly one night and it was fire and they never saw each other again until Lennon’s dad’s funeral. She thought he didn’t remember her because he never showed it on this face.
One of my favorite parts was in the bridal shop!!!!
The tension and feelings these two have are amazing. Felt like I was right there in the book!

Sweet Nothings The Harding Brothers #2
Brittany Taylor

What an emotional roller coaster!!!

We first meet Lennon Harding outside of the nightclub when he offers a ride home to Laurel Branford. Who was celebrating hers and her sisters’ birthday, when she mistakes his care for her Uber. Things get bit spicy on the ride and whispers sweet nothings in her ear.

They meet again, six years later at his father’s funeral and surprisingly he acts as if he has never met her. During the reading of the will, there are strings attached, he must be married to inherit the company.

“Little does she know she was there for me on the worst night of my life. For her, I’m never the monster.”

I love this book so much!!

I love all of their tension, their banter. I love that Laurel is a strong woman and knows what she wants.
The relationship between the sisters, is so beautiful.

This book had me laughing and crying, I didn’t want it to end.

Can’t wait for the next one, can’t imagine what’s going to happen in that one.

Brittany's best book yet. Each time she writes a book, it's better than the last. I love Laurel and Lennon's story. Amongst all the chaos and misery in their lives, despite how they met, they found their ways to each other. I love the direct, low angst story. The bonus was good too! Can't wait to read more!

𝗜 𝗪𝗔𝗦 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗡 𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚。 🫠This book was a complete rollercoaster ride with my emotions. The way this man is obsessed and caring and just physically and emotionally attentive with Laurel .. 😮‍💨🙌🏻

After James Harding passes and leaves his company to his oldest son, Lennon, his one requirement is that he marries within 30 days.. specifically Laurel and she is not having it. ✋🏻 Let’s just say, Lennon is not what I was expecting, 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘺! I also really loved Laurel!

Aside from having my heart in a complete swoony chokehold, you will definitely need some tissues for the heavier moments. I loved that Laurel’s sister, Monroe, played such a big role in this book and truly gifted us with a heart wrenching journey.

Laurel and Lennon 😫🔥 My God, absolute perfection!! They are one of the sweetest couples and romances I've ever read ❤
I was hooked from page one till their Happily Ever After and this is 100% on my reread list 😏😌

The mouth on this man, Lennon Harding 😫🔥 OMFG give me a Lennon in real life and I'll forever be happy 😫 Please!! Their chemistry is palpable from page one and sets your screen on fire with its intensity. They're everything 😏🔥

Lennon is the broody intense MMC who is an absolute sweetheart hiding behind his icy behaviour 😫 He's devastatingly handsome, a gentleman but has a filthy mouth to die for, possesive, protective, loves Laurel with everything and fights for her tooth and nail. He adores his brothers. Laurel is a stunning successful woman, she's protective, possesive, intelligent and an absolute sweetheart. She loves Lennon from the moment they meet but keeps it hidden as she believes they could never work. She is especially close to her sister. She's one of my favourite FMC's ever and I'm not even kidding 😫❤

Laurel and Lennon hooked up 6 years ago on her 19th birthday and both of them have never gotten over that night or each other, and who can blame them because it was 😫🔥 Lennon is due to inherit his father's company, but their is a condition. He has to marry one of the Branford sisters, from their rival company. Lennon chooses the woman he can't get over and takes the opportunity to prove to her that he can be the man she needs 😫🤧❤🔥 Laurel is a lawyer at her uncle's firm, who is downright annoying if we're being honest. Laurel is approached by Lennon, the man she can't forget and has been in love with for the last 6 year's, to marry him so he can inherit his father's company. It's a mutually beneficial offer so she accepts.

But the most wholesome moment comes in when he wants her to plan the dream wedding she's always wished for 😫🔥😏 What she doesn't know is he's playing for keeps. He has no intention of ever letting her go 🤭🔥

I'm so grateful I had the opportunity to read and review them. It was so worth it, I really enjoyed it so much 😫❤ Brittany is an absolutely brilliant and talented author 😍❤ If you haven't picked this book up yet you need to asap. You really don't know what you're missing out on 😫❤

Brittany Taylor's "Sweet Nothings," the second instalment in the Harding Brothers series, is a testament to her prowess in crafting compelling romance novels. If you were enchanted by the first book, prepare to be utterly captivated by this one.

"Sweet Nothings" revolves around the complex and enthralling relationship between Laurel and Lennon. From their first meeting six years ago, an undeniable, passionate spark was ignited between them. Now, reunited, their chemistry has only intensified, transforming a marriage of convenience into something profoundly deeper and more electrifying.

Ms Taylor's talent shines through in her ability to weave a story that is not just about passion, but also about emotional depth. The book is sprinkled with moments that are gut-wrenching, evoking a need for tissues as you navigate through the characters' trials and triumphs. These deeply moving instances are balanced perfectly with the sizzling romance, making Lennon an unforgettable book boyfriend who will have readers swooning.

"Sweet Nothings" isn't just a title; it encapsulates the essence of the book. Prepare to have sweet nothings whispered in your ear long after you've turned the last page. Brittany Taylor has delivered a masterpiece that will linger in your heart and mind, making you eagerly anticipate the next installment in the Harding Brothers series.

It's always been you

This was such a sweet book. It was sad, but so sweet. Many ups and downs, but a HEA at the end.

Laurel first net Lennon on the night of her 19th birthday mistaking his car for her Uber. The two had an unforgettable night together, or so she thought. Years later when they cross paths Lennon doesn't seem to remember her and Laurel is left devastated.

Lennon has been raised to be ruthless and heartless just as his father and he believes it to be true, but he forgets that he was also raised by his mother. The worst night of his life, Lennon meets Laurel and hasn't forgot her since, even if he had to prevent he did.

Now 6 tears after that night, they are forced to get married for a mutual benefit. While it may seem like a transactional marriage, it is anything but. The connection between Laurel and Lennon is unreal. Even years later the attraction they have for each other runs deep. Their affection for each other took a bit more for them to reveal to each other, but it was always there.

I would have loved some redemption for some characters, but I loved that realistic aspect of the story. Some people just don't get redeemed in real life and that's not always a bad thing.

I'm excited for the next Harding brother to find his HEA!

It was so easy to get lost in these pages, the story was engaging and the story just pulls you in. Lennon and Laurel both have trust issues and shared a hot night six years previously when he gave her a ride home from a club where she was celebrating her birthday with her sister.

Lennon finds out he needs a wife at the reading of his father’s will. And it can’t be just anyone, it has to be Laurel or her sister Monroe. Since Monroe is already married, that leaves Laurel. When he first approaches Laurel, she is quick to say no but devastating news has her changing her mind.

Laurel is such a strong FMC who has been through it. She lost her parents in an accident, her brother has damaged her family’s name in a scandal and she has been used all her life. When she starts to let her walls down with Lennon, she finds a safety that she has longed for. She also comes to realize that he remembers that night from six years ago.

The banter with these two was great, with the tension and undeniable attraction, there was always this truth that came out. And the chemistry was off the charts!

After reading Gorgeous Lies, I thought I had a pretty good idea who Lennon Harding was. Boy was I wrong!! Lennon turned out to be NOTHING like I was expecting. Underneath the grumpy, cold, closed off billionaire exterior is an incredibly beautiful man with a heart of gold. Lennon and Laurel have insanely hot chemistry from the very beginning that only continues to grow as the story goes on.

Both MC’s have some pretty heavy backstories that they’re able to help support each other though, and when Laurel’s life gets rocked by another major heartbreaking event, Lennon steps right up to be the man, husband, and friend that she needs.

Brittany certainly delivered on another emotionally gripping story, that will have you in all your feels from start to finish!

Emotional journey
4.5 ⭐️
Full of tension, angst, tragedy and fiery banter, this is an emotional roller coaster journey.
The instant connection between Laurel and Lennon is palatable and passionate.
Their exchanges are deeply felt and believable and as their marriage of convenience progresses they have to navigate their growing feelings, vulnerabilities, trust issues, grief and doubts.
The characters are both broken, complex and realistic with terrible pasts and difficult families that are the driving forces behind each decision.
They have secrets, guilt, anger and heartbreaks but each hides a tender heart behind tall walls just waiting for love.
Remember to check the warnings as there is some heavy content, but overall I found this a wonderful and swoon worthy story.

Thank you to the author and Grey’s Promotions.

Sweet Nothings by Brittany Taylor, is the second book in The Harding Brothers Series, Laurel Brandford is a sweet girl, somewhat lonely and shy, who is about to enter Harvard to study law and then work for her family's firm. On her nineteenth birthday, her sister “Roe”, who is exactly two years older than her since they have a birthday on the same day, is convincing her to go celebrate both of their birthday at a club, while there she sees a very attractive boy but he is with a girl and she is too shy to approach him, and when her sister leaves her to go dancing with her date, Laurel decides to leave, only when she gets into the wrong car she ends up meeting the boy from the club, although she tries to leave he offers her a ride home, and since he is a friend of her sister's date she decides to accept, but they cannot deny the attraction and decide to have a short-term adventure, where they use each other to forget. Five years later and at a dinner where Laurel must go because of the connections this could bring to her family's law firm, she meets the boy, now a man, from that night of her nineteenth birthday, but he acts as if he doesn't know her and ignores her throughout dinner, this hurts her more than she could have imagined and she soon realizes that he is another one who approached her to self benefit. A year later she reluctantly finds herself at this man's father's funeral and he continues to treat her as if he doesn't know her and this makes her hate him. Lennon Harding, to others, is a cold, calculating man, with a black heart, but very intelligent and a business wizard, he is the eldest son of business magnate Tomas Harding and is the one his father has tried to mold so that be equal to him. Many things have happened in his life that have marked him and have led him to be what he is, but his father's death definitely comes without any feeling, his father has been terrible with him and his brothers as well as with his mother when she lived, so for him now that his father is gone this is the time to be better than he was without being cruel. But in his father's will, he stipulates that for Lennon to take over the Harding Holdings conglomerate he must marry one of the Brandford girls within the next thirty days, but the only single one is Laurel. He knows that after how he has behaved towards her since that night six years ago that she probably hates him, but he decides to try and tells her what he needs, but she rejects him. But as the days go by, Laurel finds out that her sister is sick and in order to help her she is going to need more money so she accepts Lennon's proposal. But soon the feelings, which they kept hidden from each other, will become more intense and they will not be able to deny what they feel, while they help each other overcome the wounds of the past and endure the trials that destiny will put in their path.
This is a beautiful story, with characters who struggle with a lot of guilt, pain and resentment, but when they find each other they help each other and make each other better. This story is sweet, with a lot of drama, but I love that there are no big threats to their relationship and their love is so strong and pure. Lennon becomes one of my favorites. A story that will make you cry, laugh, and fall in love and that I advise you not miss reading. I will be patiently waiting for Micah's story, to meet these wonderful characters again. Totally and Absolutely Highly Recommended!

Total y Absoluta Altamente Recomendada!

Lennon and Laurel first meet on the night of her 19th birthday when she mistakes his car for her ride and they indulge in a steamy Chuck Bass-style backseat trip. Fast forward six years when Lennon is set to inherit his family's multi-billion dollar company but his father's will requires him to marry Laurel within 30 days to do so.

“Trust me, Laurel.” He growls. “When you’re my wife, I’d make sure our marriage meant more than money.”

Lennon Harding!! Pure fire and ice! This was the hottest arranged marriage from the start! With a sexy as sin, morally grey billionaire who was completely obsessed and maybe wasn't the villain he seemed to be. Dark and arrogant, unapologetically himself, Lennon was full of feelings he kept hidden beneath a mask. I loved his intensity and the fiery way he protected Laurel, caring for her, wanting to make her happy. There was a softness to his edges too, taking a hold of my heart, tearing it apart before piecing it back together over and over again.

Every single emotion poured from the pages! Sadness, fear, pain, guilt, anger, resentment. There was so much going on under the surface in the face of adversity and an uncertain future. How do you move forward when your world feels like it's crashing down? Who are you truly without the mask you wear to show everyone else?

“I don’t know what’s worse. The fact I’m marrying Lennon under the pretense that I won’t completely fall for him, or if it’s getting married to him, knowing I already have.”

Conflicted feelings and real moments in their fake marriage led to raw, honest vulnerability as Lennon and Laurel let each other in, opening themselves up step by step. Their journey through grief and heartache was powerfully emotional yet beautiful to watch unfold. I loved Lennon's unexpected thoughtful gestures and the way Laurel was the anchor to his storm. They both experienced a tidal wave of highs and lows which was often incredibly gut-wrenching especially through the ones I could personally relate to. I felt a whirlwind of emotions but my favorite part of the story without a doubt was the 'sweet nothings', their significance wrapping around my heart as they grew into Lennon and Laurel's epic, all-consuming love.

“I’ve cataloged every sweet from every moment I’ve been with you.”

Sweet Nothings was a beautifully addictive and emotional read that had me immersed in Lennon and Laurel’s story from the very first page. The first meeting between Lennon and Laurel was absolutely explosive and then their second encounter led to Laurel’s hatred of Lennon, but their third encounter would change everything. I couldn’t get enough of their passionate, angsty and heartwrenching journey.

“Lennon is the cure to my weakened soul. Every touch is a remedy for my broken heart and my injured body.”

Events in the past had hurt Laurel and she tried to shield her heart, but Lennon offered her security and an affection that she had never known. He took care of her when she needed it and it was so heartwarming how he looked after her needs. My heart broke for her and everything that she had to go through, but I loved how Lennon was there and stood up for her through it all. He gave her the strength to stand up for herself.

“Little does she know she was there for me on the worst night of my life. For her, I’m never the monster.”

I loved Lennon. Underneath the cold-hearted façade that he showed to world, Lennon had a fragile heart that beat for Laurel. She was unknowingly a shelter for him at a dark time in his life and his obsession with her was never forgotten. I loved watching his defenses crumble and how open and loving his heart became despite being forced into marriage.

“Lennon has broken me and he’s healed me. But he’s also made me feel more alive and loved than I’ve ever felt before.”

I loved the snarky banter between these two. It was full of fire with an underlying truth and flirtatiousness. The tension and longing between these two was palpable and their chemistry was sizzling. Their souls were a perfect match for each other and watching them navigate a marriage that neither had anticipated gave me all the feels. Sweet Nothings was a poignant and touching story that deals with some difficult subjects but will absolutely touch your heart and make you feel for the characters. Now I cannot wait for Micah’s story.

As an avid reader of romance novels, I was delighted to discover Sweet Nothings. This book quickly became a favorite of mine, as it skillfully blends humor, emotion, and the complexities of love and relationships.

One of the standout aspects of Sweet Nothings is the depth and relatability of the main characters. Taylor has a talent for creating protagonists who are flawed, yet endearing, allowing readers to easily connect with their personal struggles and triumphs. I found myself rooting for the characters throughout their journey, eager to see how they would overcome the obstacles in their path.

The narrative is expertly paced, with a perfect balance of humor and emotional depth. Taylor keeps the reader invested from the very first page, weaving a story that is both entertaining and thought-provoking. The plot is well-structured, with a natural flow that never feels forced or contrived.

One of the most enjoyable elements of Sweet Nothings is the witty banter between the characters. Taylor has a gift for crafting clever, humorous dialogue that adds a lighthearted touch to the story. The exchanges between the protagonists are a highlight, often making me chuckle out loud with their clever quips and playful exchanges.

Occasionally, there are moments where the story feels slightly slow or bogged down in details. However, these instances are rare and do not significantly detract from the overall enjoyment of the book.

As with many romance novels, the plot follows a familiar trajectory that may be predictable for some readers. While this does not diminish the quality of the storytelling, it may not come as a surprise to those who have read similar books in the genre.

In conclusion, Sweet Nothings is a delightful and engaging read that I highly recommend to fans of romance and humor. While it may not reinvent the wheel in terms of the romance genre, it excels in its character development, witty dialogue, and emotional depth. The book is a pleasure to read from start to finish, leaving the reader with a smile on their face and a warm feeling in their heart.

OMG what an emotional rollercoaster that just sucks you right in from the very first page and does not let go . It’s now 2am in the morning and yes I actually just spent most of the night reading what was one of the best books I’ve read in quite some time . After reading Gorgeous Lies book one in The Harding Brorhers Series I actually thought to myself Nothing Can Beat This !!! Well Laurel and Lennon just might be my favorite couple so far . From the moment Laurel met Lennon on her 19th birthday there was an instant connection, two people who were drawn together like a moth to a flame 🔥. Who knew that what starts off as simple ride home from Lennon would turn into so much more then either ever planned on . This is not your boy meets girl happily ever after love story though , it’s not all hearts and flowers but it truly is and was everything I mean everything. I do have to say I was not entirely sure how I felt about Lennon at first . He actually comes across as cold and cruel but the more you get to know him the more you realize there really is so much more to him then meets the eye . Underneath the mask is a man with such a big heart who would do anything for the people he loves most and yes Laurel very quickly makes it to the top of that list . And Laurel she was such a great heroine and she definitely gave as good as she got . Sweet Nothings has it all , angst , humor , witty banter , off the charts chemistry, love , passion, heartbreaking and heartfelt moments, drama , obstacles, family , friendships , phenomenal world building and characters you cannot stop yourself from falling hook like and sinker in love with . I really do feel like I was just taken on the ride of my life and completely blown away in all the best ways . There were moments I found myself speechless, others I was yelling outta pure frustration, I smiled, I laughed, I sobbed like a baby and rooted so freaking hard from start to finish. 💜💜💜💜

After having read Gorgeous Lies I was so glad that we were getting more from this world! Every teaser had me looking forward to this story even more. I picked up this second installment and got back into the The Harding Brothers world. I so enjoyed this story!

Lennon and Laurel's journey captured my attention quickly! Colliding with another soul can forever stay with you, something Laurel Branford knows all too well when it comes to Lennon Harding. As they reunite, it isn't going to be easy for these two. When certain circumstances lead Lennon and Laurel to a Marriage of Convenience, will they keep things fake between them? or could the real lead to the unexpected for their hearts?

Both Laurel and Lennon got me into their story from the get go. I really liked the fact that these two had history and the different way they were brought back together. I couldn't wait to see how they'd tackle being around one another again, their marriage, everything in their lives and between them, and their feelings which drew me even more into their story.

I was glad that I got to peel back Laurel and Lennon's layers. They both were dealing with things in their lives and I appreciated the realness it brought to both of them as well as their story. I really enjoyed how both Lennon and Laurel had me feeling so many things with both of them! The chemistry between these two was great and I loved how they got each other.

I was glad to be back in The Harding Brothers world!

With Sweet Nothings, Ms.Taylor has created such a good Marriage of Convenience story that brought realness and many emotions that kept me turning the pages! I am so looking forward to more! 💜💍

Sweet nothings the second book in the series, which although you miss some background, it can easily be read as standalone. Lennon Harding is ready to take over the helm of his fathers law company after his death. However, his father was a mean drug addict and makes a stipulation in his will that in order for Lennon to inherit the business, he must be married within 30 days, stay married for a minimum of a year and stipulates that he must marry one of the Taylor sisters. Laurel Taylor works at her family's law company, but after her parents died her brother had managed to drain both hers and her sister Roes trust fund.

Laurel and Lennon's journey really is a sweet yet heartbreaking journey. If ever there was a couple destined to be together then they are that couple. Behind the facade of a marriage of convenience, you see the raw, painful effects of Lennon's life, the walls he has built to protect himself, the cold man he has become. You see the hurt Laurel feels when Lennon doesn't even acknowledge that one night, in the back of his car six years ago. You can see how they both struggle with their own feelings about the other and yet they can't tell each other how they feel or the secrets they hold in their hearts. The heat between them easy to see, it so combustable that you know there is steamy times ahead.

As Lennon deals with the tradegies of his past, Laurel must deal with tradegies of now. They broke my heart, feeling the pain they both had. But, the coldness that was Lennon becomes Laurel's warmth as he finally opens up to Laurel. I had more than a few tissue moments with Lennon and Laurel, theirs is a journey of when the true meaning of love and family really comes to the fore.

"Sweet Nothings" by Brittany Taylor is an engaging romance featuring Lennon Harding and Laurel Branford. The story pulls you in with its raw emotion and relatable characters. Lennon's cold businessman persona, softened only for Laurel, and Laurel's fierce loyalty to her sister create a compelling dynamic. Their chemistry is immediate, with tension that becomes something sweet and real.
The plot revolves around a family legacy and the complications of an arranged marriage. Lennon's father's will demands he marry within 30 days, and Laurel is the only available bride. Despite their shared night at Harvard years ago, Laurel believes Lennon has forgotten her, but he remembers it vividly.
Laurel, dealing with family scandals and financial woes, sees Lennon's proposal as a lifeline. As they navigate their arranged marriage, they develop real feelings, but both struggle with trust due to past hurts. Their journey together is filled with ups and downs, but the connection between them grows stronger.
Taylor’s writing captures their evolving relationship with simplicity and depth. The story balances their emotional connection with the pressures of their families' expectations. Lennon's constant efforts to show his feelings and Laurel's strength and dedication to her loved ones are beautifully portrayed.
"Sweet Nothings" is a heartfelt read that explores the complexities of falling in love under unusual circumstances. Readers will root for Lennon and Laurel as they transition from an arranged marriage to a genuine partnership built on trust and love.

Before starting my review, I would like to thank Grey’s Promotion and Brittany Taylor for giving me the chance to read this book in advance with an ARC. My review is completely honest.

Tropes
✨ Marriage of Convenience
✨ Forced Proximity
✨ One bed

✨ Billionaire MMC
✨ Second Chance Romance

This novel is an essential read for fans of marriage of convenience and second-chance romance. It’s an emotional journey that deeply resonates.
We firstly meet Laurel and Lennon on her 19th birthday, where a car ride turns into intense passion that both never forget. However, six years later, their reunion is marked by Lennon's aloof and distant demeanor, leaving Laurel with resentment and anger.

Laurel is a strong, determined character who fiercely protects those she loves. She’s familiar with heartache and guards her heart vigilantly. Lennon, though appearing harsh and unfeeling, hides a compassionate side. Beneath his tough exterior lies a man with a big heart, committed to winning Laurel back. His openness about his past and vulnerability added a compelling layer to his character.
The chemistry between Laurel and Lennon is immediate and intense. Despite their marriage starting as a convenience, it’s clear their feelings run much deeper. Watching them evolve as a couple, becoming vulnerable and overcoming life's challenges, was a highlight.
"Sweet Nothings" stays with you long after finishing. The characters are genuine, relatable, and perfectly imperfect. The story is rich with romance, longing, and heartache, balanced with just the right amount of angst and drama. If you’re a fan of heartfelt marriage of convenience and second-chance romances, this book is a must-read. I’m excited to see what Brittany Taylor has in store next.

AHHH this book had so many emotional moments, ups and downs, an obsessed man and a secret tattoo. I.COULD.NOT.PUT.THIS.DOWN.

Laurel and Lennon first met on her 19th birthday, had an unforgettable night but then lost touch until years later when they crossed paths again and Lennon acts like he has no idea who Laurel is. Fast forward years later, Laurel and Lennon are thrusted back together in unfortunate circumstances.

Laurel is such a strong feisty FMC. I loved her so much. Lennon is obsessed with Laurel from that first night and he shows it in his own way. The way that man made sure she was taken care of and had everything she could ever want, was so sweet and heartfelt.

These two had to deal with such grief in their life. They were there for each other in moments when they needed to be but also respected each other enough to give each other the space when needed as well.

I can't wait for more on the Harding Brothers!!!!

I really enjoyed the emotional rollercoaster of this story. Both of the main characters, Lennon and Laurel, have faced different hardships in their lives and have had to overcome them with minimal support. Laurel is a young 20-somehting year old who is just starting her career as a lawyer. She works at her family’s law firm, which is struggling. Flash back to when she was out celebrating her 19th birthday and mistakenly gets into a car she thinks is her ride and the meets the infamous Lennon Harding. He offers her a ride home, and they have an explosive encounter on the ride home. Laurel has never forgotten that encounter with Lennon, and they meet again all these years later at his father’s funeral. Lennon is a cold-hearted man who has been groomed to take over his family’s company and put all other feelings aside. He has never forgotten how Laurel made him feel all those years ago, and when a stipulation in his father’s will says he must marry a Branford girl, he knows it must be Laurel. Laurel immediately says no to Lennon, even though her attraction to him is magnetic. When she finds out her sister needs help, she knows that marrying Lennon will ease a burden, so she then agrees. Laurel and Lennon get to know each other on a deeper level after they are married, and they both realize how that one encounter years ago had a lasting impression on both of them. Lennon lives with a decision he made years ago that haunts him, and Lauren is there for him to lean on. Laurel faces lots of adversity with her family, and Lennon shows her that he is there for her when they are not. I loved the growth of both Laurel and Lennon. They realized that they could trust one another and that not everything had to be done alone. Great read!

A billionaire romance + marriage of convenience just go together like peanut butter and jelly!

Lennon & Laurel’s story kicks off on her 19th birthday when she hops into his town car by mistake. These two have an instant connection which leads to a quick one night stand. Fast forward six years when they cross paths again at his father’s funeral and Lennon acts like he doesn’t remember her while she can’t get that one steamy night out of her head.

So when Lennon shows up in her office, asking her to be his wife, she is quick to say no. She’s been used and burned before and won’t stand for that again. But when tragic news hits her family, it changes her tune and finds herself in a marriage of convenience with the cold-hearted, Lennon Harding. She is quick to learn that he is not so unfeeling. Oh and that she’s been on his mind too since that one night.

Their chemistry is undeniable and it isn’t long until these two are developing real feelings and falling for each other. This book was sweet and swoony. Lennon’s the billionaire who’s not afraid to pull out all the stops for his girl. Oh my god, when he basically buys the whole pharmacy when she gets a cold. Freaking adorable!

This book is also really heavy at times too. A big focus is on cancer and loss - so just know that going in.

Overall, it’s a solid read. Definitely read if you love:
•billionaire romance
•marriage of convenience
•’my wife’/Mrs. Harding
•its always been you vibes

Sweet Nothings by Brittany Taylor is a very meaningful and emotional story. This billionaire marriage of convenience had my emotions running a muck with a deep storyline and romantic scenes.

Lennon is a typical grumpy billionaire that keeps his emotions buried deep down. His battle with some personal demons and his aloof personality gives off the stoic persona. His struggle to let his true self emerge only meant that you're in for a treat. Because when he breaks through those barriers he has built for years, you find a man who shows his true love.

Laurel is just as damaged as Lennon. Her conflicting feelings of loyalty and duty to her family suppresses her own needs and wants. Her love for her sister brings her to this arranged marriage and she finally allows herself to become the woman she's been hiding all this time.

Their path to their happily ever after is riddled with strife and tragedies that was quite heartbreaking. But this just made their ending sweeter and satisfying.

This story is a journey of loss, sadness, guilt, anger, and betrayal. Yet, it's so much more.... more self discovery... more kind gestures....more emotion... more romance... more steam... more love than you can imagine.
