I really enjoyed getting into Karren's mindset in this book and I could feel and envisage what she is saying and feeling.
She is witty, but also serious at times. This book is thoughtful and insightful, the beginning of an exciting and enlightening adventure into a new life. I could taste and smell it, and feel the people in my mind.
I cannot wait for the second book and to continue following Karren and Charlies story.

it’s a fun story

Perhaps because the author is British and I am not, I don’t understand the lack of or the strange use punctuation. It made reading difficult at times. It is sometimes hard to follow the timelines as she jumps around. A good editor would be helpful.

Extremely poor grammar and punctuation. Random capital letters etc. It has obviously not been proof read or looked at by a professional editor. You would think a child had written it. I couldn't read beyond the first chapter, it was that bad.
