This book cost a lot, but it's so worth it. Almost every superstar you can think of is in this book from way back to the start to the year of this books publication. I was disappointed though that it left out a few titles that my favorite superstar Jeff Hardy won. Still this is a great book. It even tells of past pay per views that are long forgotten. I love this book and $45 is def. worth it. If you don't get this book it's your loss because every true WWE fan needs to own this incredible book.

I have been a pro wrestling fan for over 20 years, so it was nice to read a ton of the entries of WWE's past history.

I noticed a few factual and continuity errors here and there on some things, but on a project with over 1,000 wrestlers over the course of 50+ years, you can't be 100% perfect. My absolute biggest complaint was the deliberate omitting of Hulk Hogan on the front cover (Working for a competing company will do that I guess). Nitpicking aside, this tome of a coffee-table book is a fun read.

I had a floodgate of childhood memories rushing to the surface while reading about the many great feuds from the 1980's, 1990's, and the 2000's. Just about everything made me at one point think "Oh yeah... that was a hell of a great match" or "Oh man, I remember being so angry when that happened."

I was even surprised they had an entry on Chris Benoit. It mentions nothing of his double-murder and suicide, but it acknowledges his many accomplishments in the wrestling ring, where there were many. In a very odd way, I'm kind of glad. The character of Chris Benoit is different from the real life monster he ended up being.

I got this from my library because I don't think this is worth 45 bucks out of pocket. But if you are the adamant die-hard fan, this book is certainly a must have.

I got into wrestling after my nan's husband died, my step-grandfather. I fondly remember him practically forcing the whole family to watch all the pay-per-views. When he died, I was between 6-8 years old (I can't remember the exact year) and pondering what exactly he loved so much about this sports entertainment. So, I started watching it and I soon garnered the same cult-like fanatic love for the WWE. I would constantly watch the 80s, 90s and early 2000s era wrestling. My first idol/inspiration in my life was the Undertaker, and he still is today. I asked my mother to buy this book as soon as I saw it in WHSmith, and she did. So, as it gives me memories I will surely cherish, it's forever a 5-star book ❤

One of the holy grails of big ol' wrestling books, this complete WWE encyclopedia was first published in 2006 and then updated in 2012 (the version I own), then later adjusted in 2016 and 2020. The book features extensive biography sections on practically every wrestler who ever was signed to WWE. While I think some of the biographies skip over vital parts of some wrestlers' careers, this is the closest you'll get to an in-depth WWE bible. The book also features title histories up to its publication and show event results in alphabetical order. I've owned this book for about a decade now and, like many wrestling collectors, have used it to obtain autographs on the wrestler's given pages. This is a great book on its own, but works even better as a passion project for me. A vital wrestling book to have, but you might as well update to the newest version.

Teenage me had most of this book accidentally memorised, and prided myself in knowing many wrestlers when they had cameos in WWE back then.

My younger brother and I kept our two copies of a signed John Cena A5 paper of his face on it (a ‘you can’t see me’ pose) within the first page of the Encyclopaedia book. We got it after attending the first WWE show in Abu Dhabi back in 10th Feb, 2012 — a gift from our cousin (and our parents).

We loved it then, yet quickly - and sadly - realised the lack of use for such a paper other than knowing it was signed by John Cena himself.

The signed promo paper, and the encyclopaedia, were both given away years later.

Watching the WWE has always been a guilty pleasure of mine. I've watched it my whole life. Through the 70's, 80's, 90's, and to this day. This book provides photos and info on just about every superstar through these periods. I enjoyed the trip down memory lane.

Dennoch: Empfehlenswert!

This book is really interesting because it first off if your a huge wrestling fan tells you about every wrestler ever to step in the ring. Also, it tells you about moves, styles, ext. I like this book because I think its also like a chance to find inst resting character traits about wrestlers who you never heard about before or would like to learn more. I would suggest this to wrestling fan 14 or older or maybe people with a high to low reading level. This book is also humorous to those who know a lot more about wrestlers then others.

The book might be a little bit outdated because if you watch wrestling on t.v some people might see new wrestlers that have just joined the roster. I wouldn't worry about that the book is entertaining especially to young age who are interested in looking at a fine age of wrestling icon, legends, and most of all superstars. This book can be identified as looking at some of the past and present superstars. If you want to know about wrestling inside and out and where it stands from a encyclopedia standpoint then look no further than this book. When i read this book its an amazing feel to know about thousands of people history name and back round from a WWE standpoint.

I had no problem reading this book because one I am a wrestling fan and two this is just something to build my knowledge about wrestling. Wrestling is a entertaining sport and those who watch it it can be addicting to stop watching it because the point is to entertain. As, far as this book is concerned I give it 4 stars for not only building up my knowledge about wrestling but to give me fact on some me personally have been watching almost all of my life.

This book has info on wrestlers that were even only in WWE for a few months. Gunnar Scott, Stupid Goldman, and the GobbledyGooker.
They do include stuff from WCW even though at some times it was competition. No Sting, but most everyone who was part (before or after) of WWE like Miss Hancock and the Most Hated Man in Mexico.

The biggest omission has to be Pete Doherty, the Duke of Dorchester.
That and there's no mention of the wrestling show in Avon,CT High School when I was in second grade when I met Blackjack Mulligan and became a fan of bad guys. Avon Connecticut had pro wrestling at it's high school gymnasium.
"Viva los Rudos!" I learned the attitude, not that phrase from him. Villians are people too.

I do wish it listed alternate names beyond the guys who took weird names in WWE, DOB and even DOD. I looked at spirit squad and some of them looked familiar, the Conquistadors, Body Donnas and a few others too.

As a wrestling fan I wanted to give this book five stars, but as book reader, it was more of a three (a little boring). So I met in the middle and went with four stars.

As I said, I'm a fan of wrestling and a big fan of WWE. I wish I'd found this book at a second hand book store or thrift shop (I borrowed it from my library). I would love to keep this book on display, to casually flip through during commercials as I watch tv.
There isn't a whole lot of new information in it. Its from 2009 but all the stats inside only go up to 2008. Even though a ton of things have happened and new Superstars have came and went since then, its still better than WWE official website. Unless it happened in the last 30-35 years, WWE tends to gloss over that part of history.

The one thing that you could say shocked me was a wrestler named Gavin Spears. Nowadays, on NXT, he's known as Tye Dillinger. (He's a perfect 10 ;) ) I had no clue he worked there almost ten years ago.

Phenomenal full resource but I wish it had more in-depth for some true icons in wrestling like Andre, Flair, Hogan, Hart, Graham, Backlund, Snuka...you know, the larger-than-life wrestlers...

They have the same number of pages dedicated to icons as they do to some of the wrestlers that have only been with the WWE for a few years.

Huge book with great pictures but again, too few for this kind of ultimate table book; I love the politics behind the cover; the "face" of the WWE Cena front and bottom center but with Vince's son-in-law HHH above him, with smaller SCSA and Rock pictures and not Andre, Flair or Hogan...come on marketing guys...get it right and check your ego at the door!

Don't pay more than $18 for this book.
