Forgotten races, ancient secrets and the final truths of the great wars…
After being ripped from everything he knew, Steve drifts amongst the shattered remains of dead worlds and civilizations. The vast grave of the ages threatens to consume him as he faces an impossible choice - evolve beyond his limits, or be lost amongst the ruins, like all the other failures.
The node is under attack. Meanwhile, on all sides the enemy is bearing down, ready to tear their hard won prize free. If Steve is going to eke out a chance at survival, he’s going to have to fight his way home. Not only that, when he gets there, he’s going to have to deal with the Ændari’s greatest secret.
It’s time to remind the rest of the universe that humanity isn’t prey… we’re the predator.
Just started and already there is so much bloat in it before the actual first page..... I understand the need to quickly cover past books, but not like that, and to have all the bloat in the back as well. I love your books, but please stop going the direction of every other author here by filling 100 pages with garbage, ads for publishing companies other works, and more. It nearly makes me want to just not read it anymore at all... I will update this review once I've read the book fully, but please cut down on the bloat or your next book with be half over by the time we get through it all.
As always, Jez delivers. An amazing wrap up to this unique blend of LitRPG Urban Fantasy SciFi series. Not nearly as heavy on the LitRPG as some other novels, this series can be enjoyed by any fan of excellent writing. The story just kept getting bigger and deeper with each book, and Jez continues that with the final novel. What a concept! Amazing characters, graphic battle scenes, humor, this book has it all. Thanks Jez for this wonderful page-turner!!! Read this book!! But start with book 1 of course. Then read the UnderVerse (Jez first series), the absolute best of classic LitRPG genre
The mandatory big showdown after the false starts where it looked like the advesarial devourer was about to beat up the MC and take his lunch money. I did think there was a bit too much techno-babble but in the end it was a good finishbtonan awesome story. I enjoyed the epilogue, but would have liked a view into the beat down of the MC's good for nothing family, especially his disgusting excuse for a father. I am also looking forward to the release of "age of glass"
The sheer mass of nonsense ‘science’ coupled with the crass humor made it both enjoyable and tedious. Can somebody just finally shoot something instead of reforging the battleship systems…again?
Probably great as an audiobook.
I don’t know. I liked it and i didn’t. 2/3rds of this book was one extended battle.
While this book gets bogged down on details. The overall storyline is still engaging, intriguing, and worth reading. I’ve enjoyed every book so far in this series from book one to book 6. If the adventure ends here after book 6, I will say that I am satisfied. Should the author write another book? I will be joining him on that next adventure and reading in that book as well. I really do recommend a series.
This was an amazing adventure and a great ending to this series, with such a journey across the books with characters you could really get engrossed with. Loved how the world was constructed and look forward to more from this author for his other equally well written LitRPG books.
I've love this book from start to finish I couldn't put it down and to be honest it's finished I wish he carrys these characters on in a new saga I love this series all the books he's done have been fantastic written with such emotion it's unreal so thank you for creating these amazing wonderful people
NOOOOO!!!!! THE SERIES ENDS!!! 😭💔😭💔 Epic as all hell! 🤯 I'm gonna miss Steve's "balls-to-the-wall" approach to diplomacy 🤭 and snarky sass. I want this to be adapted into an anime series, with the narrators, because that fight with the BBEG is CRAZY and would be visually stunning! Love the narrators 🤌 pure perfection!
This series has been great, but this book is my favorite. The only thing I missed was seeing Steve beat down the Erlking like a red-headed step-child. Thank you for providing many hours of great storytelling and entertainment.
These books were amazing! I really want to read more but the series is complete. I do Hope That there is a second one! Fingers crossed! Start at the first book. This is unique in my opinion and I really appreciate all the time that was put in. Later!
A wrap up book to finish a story is never easy. Balancing plot and closure is hard while still leaving space for action, especially for this book series. Yet this book does a great job of it. If you liked the previews books be happy to have this one end the series on a high note!
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this series. I look forward to each book as it was written and released. This was exceptionally and enjoyable experience in Reading sci-fi. I recommend a book to anybody that likes science fiction.
Really good ending to a very quality series. The battle scenes were a little dense, but as a wrap to the story I totally get why. Very much recommend this and the other series by Jez!
This book was good, or at least the story was, but I felt like it moved so slowly at times. There were massive information dumps that slowed the story’s pace down.
