Namaste and Code All Day

Rate this book
I’ve always believed love is nothing more than good timing.

That it's just two people who happen to get along deciding this is probably as good as it gets.

Until Zeke Morgan.

He walks me home from the yoga classes I take like candy. He encourages me to chase my dreams of opening my own studio. He’s gentle with me when I tell him past experiences make me hesitant about getting physical.

But as he helps me achieve my dream, I become the downfall of his.

He's spent almost a decade building his web design business, but when everything I've worked for is threatened, he doesn't hesitate to put me first.

And I can't help but feel like the girl from his past who wanted him to live a different life for the sake of her checklist. The one who forced him to choose between her and his dreams.

He used to think love wasn't all it's cracked up to be, but he's fallen hard. For me.

So when my world comes crashing down around me the same week he has to leave for a big project, I do the only thing I can to protect myself.

I pretend I'm okay. I push him away. Insist that I'm fine.

Because the only thing worse than accepting defeat is becoming his, too.

Namaste and Code All Day is a steamy, friends-to-lovers romance featuring a German Shepherd MMC who falls first and falls hard, and a fiercely independent but scarred FMC.

*This is my honest review in return for an ARC copy of Namaste and Code All Day*

First of all I was beyond excited to be chosen to receive an ARC copy of this book as it is my first time reading and ARC and first time leaving a review! I'm been sucked into this genre a lot recently (Filling my own romantic void? 100% but that's its own issue haha) and this book did not disappoint. I think it is also worth noting that I did not read the first book in this series and did not feel like I was missing crucial plot points, although now I am definitely going to go pick it up!

I liked how this book gets right into our characters, no drawn out prologue to set the scene. It really had me interested right from the start since I felt like I had to catch up to know who these people were. Ally creates an in depth world for her characters that feels as if you're stepping right in time with them. I felt like these were my friends that I've been spending all these years with.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't giggling and kicking my feet for the majority of this book. Our main characters are undeniably sweet, wonderfully flawed, amazingly compatible, and refreshingly real. I found myself relating to Gabi and how she navigates her past trauma - letting her anxiety swell up and push others out, not wanting to be burden on those she cares about. Simultaneously I was able to relate to Steph and their sister dynamic. My older sister frequently avoids putting anything on my plate since I'm younger, but at the end of the day we'd do anything for one another.

Gabi and Zeke are a perfect fit and our leading man is everything you could ask for - protective, encouraging, giving, understanding, and tender. The whole theme of timing was a fantastic center theme to the entire story and had me evaluating my own thoughts on relationships and big life changes. Lastly, the spice level in this was absolutely perfect. It was balanced by the sweet and real love shared by our main characters and never felt shoved into the plot.

Overall I thought this book was a great read - I struggled to put in down in between work. A wonderful mix of authentic and relatable characters, unconditional love, and a good dose of spice. I cannot wait to read more by Ally Williams.

ARC Book Review:
This is a cute and light hearted love story of Zeke and Gabi. Zeke is so warming. He is protective, provider, supportive and a communicative character. I liked how patient he was with Gabi even when he did not know the reasons behind her persona/past and gives her the embrace where she feels protected.

I liked how Gabi do not let her chained by her past and accepts the love & embrace Zeke provides her, while she focuses on her growth.

There were some instances where I felt the detailing was a little more. Overall it is a good read.

My very first ARC review! Thank you Ally and her team for giving me the opportunity.

Onto the review! Love love love Zeke. He absolutely adored and respected Gabs. I loved how their friendship developed into something more and he went with her pace. He was hurt in the past too by a prior relationship but that never changed the way how he viewed the present.

Gabs is strong and worked with her own struggles. She didn’t allow her struggles to keep her away what she wanted and that was Zeke. Gabs was developing feelings the same time as Zeke and it was the perfect timing. I loved how she overcame her struggles and developed even beautiful as a character.

This is my first book by Ally and I will continue to read her books! In addition, this was my very first friend’s time lovers romance and I need more! I did not realize that this book is a second half of Things we’ve lost and found. So I will read that next.

Can’t wait for the third book!

✨ARC REVIEW✨

Where I enjoyed Things We Lost and Found, I felt a little underwhelmed by this.

The writing was good but I felt this story lacked in its plot and the character development. Or maybe I just wasn’t a huge fan of either to begin with.

The concept of Zeke walking Gabi home everyday was cute. I mean, it’s a little odd considering we don’t really get a backstory as this story just starts with this being a thing between them. Unless I completely missed something. The fact that this stopped becoming a thing was disappointing.

But somewhere along the line, I got bored and the story lost me. There was a lot of side stories that felt unnecessary.

Gabi is portrayed as this overly independent person who does things on her own terms. But why did it feel like everyone told her what to do? She claims to not want these things but instead of her coming to terms with them, I felt like people just completely pressured her into them.

She was a good character, I can’t say that she wasn’t. I liked her personality and I enjoyed her growth in the sense of learning what she wants. But other than that, I didn’t feel much more.

Zeke had potential to be this hunk of a man. But I was truthfully a little turned off by him. I don’t know if it’s fact that he was completely attached at the hip to Gabi or the fact that he was constantly telling her what to do without telling her what to do (i.e. opening the studio felt super shoved down her throat) but it felt off.

He’s got work but he’s driving hours and hours both ways just to watch her sleep for an hour? It’s a bit much. He cancels her lease agreement without telling her? I get the sentiment but if you know she’s not ready to move out, why do it? Let her do it. She’s independent, no?

The relationship we get between them was cute to watch form. But once we get it, I got bored.

The side characters didn’t add much for me. I would have really loved to see more between Charlie and Gabi, considering they’re best friends. But we got nothing in retrospect. Game nights just stopped. Girl time just stopped. I just lost interest.

Gabi’s ex, Dustin, really served no purpose in this for me. It was really just to show Zeke’s overprotectiveness.

I really wanted to enjoy this more than I did. I didn’t hate this by any means, but I expected more I guess. I wanted to love these two but I fear they may be forgettable. Things started feeling a little too cheesy for me and I started to skim.

Again, the writing and concept were good. The execution just needed a little work.

Thank you so much to Ally Williams for an ARC copy!

I received this as a ARC copy and voluntarily leaving my review. This was a sweet book, spicy but not overtly. I enjoyed to dual perspective. I think my favorite part was how it really focused on character growth and you could see how much they grew both together and on their own throughout the story!

This was such a cute romance! It’s the second in a series, but it can definitely be read as a standalone if you want.

Gabi is a yoga-loving sales rep with a history of being interested in the wrong men. Zeke is a web design consultant who worries about the safety of the women in his life. It all starts with him walking her home from game night to make sure she gets back safely.

This book has adorable moments, embarrassing moments, touching and sweet moments, tense and scary moments (just a few), raw and emotional moments, and really sexy moments. It’s fast paced and I couldn’t put it down! I loved Gabi, Zeke, and their whole group of family and friends. I loved watching their relationship grow.

I especially love the realistic portrayal of the struggles with anxiety. The FMC may not view herself this way, but I thought it was a great representation of a person with a mental health disability. The topic is treated respectfully and her problems don’t magically go away when she meets the perfect guy. It’s an ongoing struggle and this book does a nice job of highlighting the importance of asking for help, accepting help, and having a strong support system. It even briefly touches on the value of therapy and how it’s not just for people with life and death challenges.

Favorite quotes:
🌕 “”Gabi, you’re moonlight.” My breath catches in my throat. “You’re subtle and calm and protective. Thoughtful and resilient. Sure, Stephanie shines bright. No ones going to argue that. But Gabi, you glow.””

And

🔥 “I’d burn down cities to be needed by her.”

⚠️Triggered Warning:
This story does have SA in it, and it’s the FMC who is attacked. It is not particularly violent or graphic, and you can always skip that chapter if you prefer. I thought it was tastefully done, realistic, and the effect it had on the FMC and her emotions was a valuable part of the story.
The story also deals with topics like anxiety, depression (very briefly), and (past) emotional abuse.

Key Tropes:
👫 Friends-to-lovers
🛟 Protective MMC
🫂 Hurt/Comfort

Thanks so much to Ally Williams for access to the ARC of this book. My above review was done voluntarily and reflects my honest feedback.

2nd - this book was so good !!!
Ok so -
Gabi ! She’s a damn hero! Strong woman with insecurities and second guessing herself. I related to her so much because I am the same way. She overcame her adversities and rocked her career and life changes.
Zeke - he’s an incredible man, incredible boyfriend brother friend just all around amazing. Definitely has a lil steamy Alpha vibes in the bedroom. he was just dreamy !

I received this book as an ARC.

I absolutely adored this story. I truly think the author took feedback from the first book’s reviews and wonderfully developed the characters in this second book. I loved the slow burn between Gabi and Zeke and also enjoyed witnessing Gabi’s personal growth throughout the book as well. I would have loved a little more spice, but this was nonetheless a fun, enjoyable read.

I received this book as an ARC and really enjoyed this spicy friends to lovers story!

Namaste and Code All Day is the second book in the Love and City Lights series, and of course, as is usual for me, I didn’t read the first one. But I don’t feel you need to read the first one before reading this one. However, I will be going back and reading Things We’ve Lost and Found because I need to read Annabel and Charlie’s story!

Namaste and Code All Day begins with Gabi and Zeke as friends, brought together by their mutual best friend Charlie. Zeke walks Gabi home after girl gang outings and boys’ game nights, worried about her safety in the city. Gabi is still following questionable advice her father gave her when she was eight and is feeling hesitant towards men and relationships after some bad experiences. Zeke is flourishing in a job he created for himself, after letting go of someone who tried to make him something he wasn’t. Soon Zeke is walking Gabi home all the time, and their friendship evolves into something deep and meaningful as they both fall hard and question their beliefs on love and life.

“I’d burn down cities to be needed by her.” Zeke says and I believe him. He’s encouraging and caring, willing to sacrifice almost anything for Gabi. Gabi, however, is scared, and she’s worried she’s just like the one who tried to keep him from his dreams. She’s been hurt, in various ways, and she really doesn’t want to hurt him. Gabi learns to open up and lean on her friends, sister, and Zeke. Zeke was one of those swoon-worthy book boyfriends and Gabi is the independent woman we all sort of wish we were.

What I loved most about this book was the relationships between all of the characters, not just Gabi and Zeke. Charlie was fiercely protective of Gabi while also loving and affectionate with his girlfriend Annabel. There was no jealousy, no “men and women can’t be friends.” Their friend group was fun and supportive and when things fell apart, they were all there to help, along with Zeke’s hilarious younger sister Kelly.

The thing that was slightly different about this book is the couple got together, like *actually* got together, before the halfway point. That’s rare in romcoms, and it was nice reading more about their relationship than the pair tiptoeing around one. Their falling in love felt natural, not forced. The only thing I wasn’t a big fan of was the amount of drinking the characters did. It wasn’t excessive, but enough that I began to notice how much wine, beer, and whiskey were mentioned. But that’s a personal preference and didn’t really impact the story, it was just something I noted.

I really enjoyed Namaste and Code All Day and now I might just have to pull my yoga mat out and do some sun salutation!

ARC provided

When I got approved for the ARC I immediately began reading the first book in this standalone series and I liked it quite a bit. BUT THIS ONE? This one I LOVED!

Gabriella (Gabi) Pierce is a fierce woman. She is capable. She is good at what she does. She’s been hurt before, she has a bit of anxiety and uses yoga as a healthy coping mechanism

Zeke Morgan is kind, thoughtful and hot! He’s got his own business doing website design.

Gabi is best friends with Charlie who is also best friends with Zeke. When girls night and game night coincide- Zake walks her home. When he discovers she does yoga after dark, he walks her home.

What I liked
The improvement: there was nothing wrong with the first book at all, but something about this one definitely felt more! More developed, better? I don’t know but I loved this one!
The relationship: This book gave me all the feels! The romance starts as friends so it’s a little slow burn at first, but when it ignites- it’s fire works.
The sex scenes: I read a lot of Smut and Open door romance and this is definitely some well written sex scenes. Which took me by surprise. Comparing this book to the previous, these sexier and umm more frequent/on more pages!
Realistic: the relationship felt realistic, the ebbs and flows of life, the fact that neither main character stopped living their life, they simply worked around it.
The atmosphere: once again I am struck by a LOVE of the city feel that leaps off the page.
The friendship: I LOVE THIS GROUP! I can’t express enough how much I love this group. I love their interactions. I love that each member of both the guys group and the girls group have so many strengths
The opening of a business: this was incredibly realistic without boring the reader, I own my own small business(online, no storefront or location) and all of that was incredibly realistic and a little nostalgic for me.
The conflict with the ex: you could sense it coming, which served as a conflict for the couple rather than them having a ‘second act breakup’. While I didn’t love Dustin, he served his purpose in the book just fine.

What didn’t work for me:
To be honest not much. If anything it may be the fact that I felt myself in different ways in these main characters.

Trigger warnings:
Mentions of sexual assault, anxiety, minor mentions of PTSD, small mention of parental illness (one side characters mother has dementia and it’s mentioned)
And a REALLY douchey manipulative ex (mentally abusive)

First, a huge thank you to Ally for letting me read this ARC! I was so excited to see her post about needing readers and figured it was worth a shot to submit, even if I wasn't accepted. But I'm thrilled she let me read this sweet (and spicy!) romance before it releases tomorrow! 😍

Gabi (a yogi) and Zeke (a small business owner who designs websites) are friends who realize they might have the potential to be so much more... and they are so freaking cute! I really loved this book so much. It was fun to watch their relationship progress throughout the story. They're both such great characters and I personally adored Zeke and his big heart.

At the beginning, I quickly fell in love with Ally's writing style. It's sweet and energetic, all without being over the top or unrealistic. She tackles heavy topics with grace (counseling, anxiety, sexual assault) and makes everything feel natural between all of the characters. I truly came to like them all and the variety of side characters opens up the possibilities of more books - which I always love!

One of the things I loved most was that the conflicts felt real and not just thrown together or made up. They felt realistic and really covered how many of those feelings can come across in real life.

Quick and sweet read. Oh, and the 🌶️ was perfect! I loved those scenes (and Zeke's mouth! 😉).

Definitely a pretty perfect contemporary romance! ❤️

Namaste and Code All Day
Ally Williams
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Spicy Rating:🌶🌶🌶
Publication Date: May 1st

Review:
Namaste and Code All Day is a book about Gabi a yoga girl who, just got out of a relationship a finds Zen going to yoga classes to help with the breakup, and Zeke a freelance web developer, who has a thing for Gabi. Girls Nights/Guys Game Night, late night walks home from yoga, and building websites. Gabi runs into a familiar face when she is celebrating her sister's birthday. Which brings new challenges to the new relationship. With the perfect amount of spice, this book was a great read. When Gabi takes on something new her biggest fan is Zeke. Zeke’s meddling sister Kelly and Gabi’s sister Stephanie ( also both families), add some family fun to the relationship. The last hour in the book kept me guessing on what would happened. This book is the second book in the Love and Lights series, and the third is on the way this time it follows Gabi’s sister Stephanie and Oliver. Also check out the first book in the series Things We’ve Lost and Found.

This is an honest review in exchange for an ARC✨

I liked this book! The writing was good although I think it lacked slightly in the plot department. The spice was well written and realistic, the banter was good and I loved the MMC. I was able to read this in a day and I felt like the flow of falling in love was done well.
The FMC Gabi has classic oldest daughter syndrome (must take care of everyone and bottles up her own problems not to burden any one else) which also tends to be a little repetitive but overall I didn’t care. I’m here for a good time. I laughed out loud, I giggled like a school girl and had to fan myself off a bit as well.
Overall I’d give this 3.75 ⭐️ would totally recommend if you need a quick romance to cleanse the palette.

ARC REVIEW ~ Thank you so much to Ally & her team for allowing me this opportunity! ~

⭐⭐⭐⭐
🌶️🌶️🌶️

When I first started this book, I was unaware that this was actually the second book in the Love and City Lights series – coming after book one, Things We’ve Lost and Found, which featured Annabel and Charlie’s story. You can jump right into the second without having read the first, however after finishing this book I will definitely be going back to the beginning!

Namaste and Code All Day follows MFC, Gabriella (Gabi) Pierce and MMC, Zeke Morgan who after meeting through a mutual friend, establish a friendship of their own. I knew I would fall in love with Zeke almost immediately, I mean how can you not? Friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes in books (but I’m also a big believer of this in real life LOL). In Gabi and Zeke’s situation – Gabi needed that solid foundation first, after having difficult past relationships and traumas. Zeke has nothing but Gabi’s best interest at heart, and he understood he needed to go at Gabi’s pace and treading where needed.

I loved the relatability of Gabi’s character, and I feel like a lot of other readers will feel the same way. Growing up is hard to do, that’s just a fact of life. While Gabi is a strong and independent woman, she’s not immune to mental health struggles, anxiety, stress, etc. Thrown on top of that … wondering if a career change will be the best or worst decision she could make? I think anyone whose struggled a bit gets that “I don’t want to bother anyone with my problems” mentality. It takes Gabi a while to realize, but she has undeniable support from not only Zeke who always encourages her to chase her dreams, but all of her friends - and not only is that important to have, but it’s also just as important to lean on it when you need it.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book! It was cute/fluffy/heartfelt, emotional, spicy, and touched upon important topics.

My one note: For most of the book, Gabi uses Yoga as her an hour a day escape from reality. While I applaud her for using a healthier coping mechanism than I’m sure some use, I wish we could’ve seen Gabi really take her mental health into her own hands a little sooner than towards the end.

Okay, I lied – second note: TWO EPILOGUES, chefs kiss.

ARC review!!! While I liked this book I didn’t necessarily love it. I feel like I kept waiting for a conflict or something big that you typically see in romance books. Also I felt like every other chapter included a surface level sex scene. BUT overall, it was a cute love story!! Excited to read more of this series

This was an ARC read and I loved it just like I loved the first book The Things We've Lost and Found.
Zeke 😍🥵 perfect! He's the perfect guy! I loved him right from the beginning he just had something about him. He is the MMC
Gabi I had my doubts about I was too sure about her. But I loved her. She is an independent FMC who goes through some growth IMO through out the story. She puts down a wall she has built due to past incidents thanks to Zeke for helping her do so. I am so happy they had their happy ending because it was hoping they did!

This is to me a slow burn, but quick read. Steamy, amazing, mental health references, having an amazing group of friends, and independence love story wrapped up in an amazing book!

I can't wait for the third book! The sneak peak was so good !

Thank you Ally for having me be on your ARC team again 💕

ARC Review 📚

Gabi and Zeke are friends blossoming into more with each walk home they take. Zeke helps her be more confident in herself and the choices she makes, and Gabi shows Zeke that his previous relationship was nothing like the love that Gabi and Zeke have for each other. With the help of their friends and family, they're able to both follow their dreams and help each other achieve big things in life.

As someone who's been in a reading slump, this story was one I just could not put down! From the get go, I was fully invested in Gabi's story and how Zeke would be added into her life naturally. It was very sweet to see Zeke play a friend just patiently waiting for the right time for him to take a step further with Gabi without it being too forward or too big of a step away from their friendship.

I thought it was very telling of how sweet Zeke would be just by his treatment of the deli shop owners. Then to add on to that, his relationship with his sister was very heartwarming. I did feel like his protectiveness over her and Gabi (always being there for them, being scared something would happen to them while they were out, etc.) could have been explained a little bit more. But overall, his character was very sweet, and I'm so happy there was no third act breakup that tore him and Gabi apart.

As much as I loved the story, I just felt it was missing something that I can't put my finger on which is why I only rated it a 4⭐️.

ARC review! Loved this book! I read “Things We’ve Lost and Found” a while back and loved that we got more insight into that storyline in this book, BUT I think I love Gabi and Zeke more! Love the anxiety and ADHD representation, love how patient he was with her. It’s definitely a feel good read with no third act break up.

This is an ARC review!

This book was precious! Trigger warning, there was some talk of drug use and attempted assault.

I could have easily read this book a lot faster but I didn’t want to rush it! I love reading the book and didn’t want it to end. Zeke and Gabi’s story was as semi slow burn but so worth the time to watch them grow together. There was a lot more Namaste than the coding piece but I’m sure there were plenty of downward dog poses to make up for it. 🤗

Thank you to the author for sending me an ARC of this book. I read the first one and absolutely loved it. I was so excited about a stand-alone sequel. I liked this book. It was very cute and sweet. There honestly wasn’t that much plot to the story but I didn’t mind it because I love Gabi and Zeke as characters and their relationship. I think it developed pretty naturally. Some of the themes do get a little heavy so be sure to check TWs. I think I still prefer the first book, but I did enjoy my time reading this.

ARC REVIEW

Beautiful writing that made reading fast paced and very enjoyable. The character development was *chefs kiss* and they all felt so real. I found myself relating to Gabi (FMC) quite often…and Zeke (MMC) had me wishing I actually WAS Gabi! I found myself devouring this book page bay page…..well click by click since it was my kindle…and finished in 2 days! I just couldn’t stop myself! The spice was both sweet yet steamy. Just an overall lovely story! I definitely want to go back and read the first companion novel (Things We’ve Lost and Found) then wait in anticipation for the third installment….i think there is a third…I hope there is because I NEED more from indie author Ally Williams! Tippy tap on over to KU and READ this book!

So this was my first ever ARC read and it was so good! Thank you Ally for the opportunity!

Let's get into it! This book was right up my alley! I relate to the main character, Gabi, so much. The self-doubt, anxiety, not feeling like you're enough. Wow, @ me next time! In all seriousness, I felt so seen and understood! and.. Zeke! Zeke! Wow. I absolutely loved the dynamic between Zeke and Gabi. The way they communicated was so mature and I just felt so good about them during the whole read. I really liked the storyline and how the book was written overall. The steamy parts were 10/10 as well! Can't wait to see what's next from Ally Williams! Her books will def be on my TBR!

Namaste and Code All Day ARC Review

i was very fortunate to receive an ARC of Namaste and Code All Day by Ally Williams. All opinions are my own and given freely.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
🌶️🌶️/5

content warning: this story contains explicit sexual content, foul language, mentions of emotional abuse, addiction, and a description of sexual assault (please skip chapter three if you would rather not read SA content).

“i just have this feeling in my gut like it’ll all be worth it at some point, and i can’t help but think that part of that feeling is you.”

ally continues to amaze me with her writing! i loved this book from beginning to end and could not put it down!! this was a fast read for me and it was just super sweet and heartfelt.

i loved both gabi and zeke so much. individually and as a couple they had such a great dynamic. gabi is such a strong and independent FMC and she’s been through hell and back. i was rooting for her throughout this book. she was presented with real life, relatable struggles and it’s clear that ally wrote these scenes with so much care. zeke is so caring and thoughtful, and he’s willing to drop everything when it comes to the people he cares about. when it came to gabi, he was so supportive of all her decisions and pushed her just enough to get her to start making her dreams a reality.

overall this was a very enjoyable book! definitely recommend this to any and everyone!! i cannot wait to read the next book in this series and once again thank you much for giving me the chance to read namaste and code all day early! 💜

First, I want to say thank you to Ally for sending me this to ARC read! I loved this book and I am so thankful for opportunity 🫶🏾
Here’s my summary: Gabi has basically sworn off men. She just doesn’t feel love is in the cards for her until Zeke Morgan. After a scary encounter with her ex, Zeke starts walking her home from her yoga class as well as their friend’s nights. When a great opportunity arises for Gabi doing something she loves, yoga, as a job, Zeke pushes her to go for her dreams. Gabi’s anxieties about things not working out, her past relationship failures, and being worried she may be holding Zeke back causes issues in their newly budding relationship. Will Gabi and Zeke’s love prevail or will it all fall apart?
I really loved this book! Gabi kind of reminds me of myself at a point in my life. She has trauma that she has not truly process as well as anxieties that make it hard for her to reach for things she loves and to try to new things. Her character development is phenomenal and you watch her grow in all aspects of her life. I love Zeke and I knew I would from the very beginning. He loves her deeply and he is protective and he works through her mental health and growth. I feel everytime she told him what she needed he followed through but was still there for her. I love their story and I can’t wait to her about Steph’s next! I give it a 5/5 ⭐️ and 3.5/5 🌶️

ARC Rating: ⭐️⭐️.75
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ (please see my descriptions of my ratings as not everyone would rate the spice the same as me; I have my definitions of my spice ratings in my bio)

I want to start my review by thanking Ally Williams for allowing me to be a last minute ARC reviewer!
Take into account my review, but also know this was a nice, happy fun little read. I wouldn’t reread and I’m not sure if I’ll read her other book(s) in this series, but it was a nice, cute friends to lovers read.

I rated ⭐️⭐️.75 because I felt like I couldn’t give it 3 stars. I almost never rate a book in quarters (.25 or .75). However, I did this because this book is more than a 2.5 rating for me but less than a 3 star rating. I’ll tell you why.

I felt very underwhelmed with this story. I felt like the two main characters were not given to me deeply; it felt very one-dimensional, lacking depth I love to get from my characters. I felt like the conflict in this story was anticlimactic; honestly everyday life issues but very anticlimactic.
And the spicy scenes, I must address them. I do not feel like the spicy scenes reflected who the characters were; it didn’t add up for me? And, boy I never say this, but the amount of spicy scenes were just too much for me; it got to the point where I was like, okay is sex now the new theme of this book because where is the plot?

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend to a friend, but I’m not mad I read it.

This was such a cute book!! Finally a romance book that’s not cheesy, has some spice, and makes you feel good and loved how you should be. The writing style was easy to follow and had me wanting to keep reading. I loved and appreciated the dual point of views and also the little bit of “spooky” heart pounding scenes. I also can appreciate that this book is “part of a series” that follows the same group of people, it’s just other characters story lines it follows. It can be read as a series of as stand alones. I will absolutely be reading more of her books.

ARC Review🙏

First and foremost thank you to Ally for letting me be on her ARC Team!

R: 4/5⭐️
S: 3/5🌶️

Gabi which is our FMC, reminds me a lot of me😅
She’s your quiet but independent girlie! Even though she’s super independent she still has her family, girl gang and friend Zeke there for her!
Zeke is the ideal man! He’s supportive, attentive, loving, and has no problem taking charge. Since the burn was slow I had no idea what to expect from him but wow is all I will say 😉

Overall this was such a cute read definitely get a copy, it’s worth it! Namaste✌️😌

I received a copy of this Advanced Readers Copy through Ally Williams
Gabi - who believes that love is all about good timing and doesn't think it is for her, finds herself smitten with her best friend's best friend. Her fear of love keeps him at a distance.
This book was exactly what I needed out of a cute Rom-Com for the end of April. Gabi and Zeke It was cute, it was happy, it had some spice, and it just made me root for the happiest of endings. It is definitely a feel-good book.

46 procent... Jfc
