disappointing (contains spoilers)I

I was hoping for a better story between Amelia and Hamilton. Unfortunately, the author went for the cliche. Amelia was incredibly selfish in this book. Let’s face it, she chose to live in a different country, even leaving her son behind all because she’s « not going to let any man get one over her ». She had no concept of marriage, she basically wanted someone to worship her, instead of her real partner. Having Hammer leave his job, to be with her 24/7 was ridiculous. All he had to do was be more high level like a CEO. She kept complaining, however in her hour of need, even though she didn’t call him, he still came through and she didn’t even bother to thank him. As for her brothers, they had no boundaries, wanting to run her marriage. The whole thing left a sour taste in my mouth.
As for the mystery, it didn’t make any sense that Hammer, would basically come alone to solve the mystery given that he has a whole team at his disposal.

OMG! This woman here!

She's my kind of woman. She can't help but be a strong, independent, take-no-prisoners kind of woman. After all, she's the baby sister of Mick "the Tick" and Charles "Big Daddy" Sinatra. If she's in trouble, her big brothers have her back. That is just what happened when Amelia Sinatra Reese was accused of a crime she did not do. All of this drama came at a time when she was under personal stress of loss and a failing marriage. Hamilton Reese spent the majority of his time with his other mistress, the United States Government's undercover special ops with direct orders from the president. Millie was tired of her and Jo Jo being an afterthought to Hammer. She made efforts to get her life back. She could do bad by herself, even though she still loved her husband very much. To her there was no other man for her but she couldn't take it any longer. Hammer came to his senses when he realized that Millie was the only woman for him and he'd be a fool to let her get away from him. He did what was needed to give Millie a reason to stay.

I just loved this action-packed who-done-it and how mystery drama. The emotions were felt by me reading Millie's angst in the hospital and how she came to the hard decision she had to make.
Hammer was not too agreeable at first but when he realize Millie was serious and she didn't want a damned thing from him either and an old flame was sniffing around, his tune changed. He knew that she could handle herself but he also knew that she was tired of being strong all the time and wanted him to be there for her for a change.

Mallory did it again with this hair-pulling tangled plot. I thoroughly enjoyed it as always.

Hammer Jacked

Si Amelia and Hammer still tip toeing around each other by not letting their feelings being aired. It's taken a divorce court hearing for Hammer to know what he is losing. The drama of Amelia being charged for a Senator's murder made Hammer step up. Mick the Tick was being his usual judgemental self like hus brother Charles said Mick and Hammer treat their wives the same way, do as u say in a controlling manner, but they are their own woman and no one control them.

So Hammer finally decides to put his wife and son first. Instead of DC, he put POTUS on notice, and he called time on doing their bidding. False accusation on Millie and being a target made him wake up because he didn't put her first, so it takes action, not words for Millie to believe, over hearing his conversation with SecDep and him taking timeout for his family made her believe and state her feelings again.

So glad Hammer and Amelia stuck ot out and they got over losing her second child and to finally have a daughter to their additional family makes a happy ending.

Amazing Read

Mallory is a masterful storyteller. This book about Amelia and Hammer is one of her best, and I've read almost all of her books. These two head strong individuals, reminds me that love in it's deepest and purest, form really does exist. Through their sometimes crisis driven and tumultuous marriage, they live and love hard and would surely parish without one another.

Loved it!

I have been reading about the Sinatra/Gabrini family for years. I feel like I know them so this installment is like a letter that has kept me up on a relatives life. I love this author and her stories.

Amelia and her family show loyalty and love on a different level but Hammer really showed Amelia how far he was willing to go to stay married. The action and story twists were great.

Keep up the storytelling!

Finally, Amelia and Hammer are on the same page. Love does conquer all. We can say he finally did it all for the love of his family. Another great read from the ongoing saga of the Sinatra family. It was touch and go fir a bit, but they finally got it together. Hammer is such a softy for Amelia, deep down. Their love never gave up on them.

Another great one. Didn’t know which way this one was going until the very end. Where there’s a Sinatra, there will always be some trouble. Great book from beginning to end.

It took me a little longer to finish this read because I thought Amelia and Hammer might not make it. So after some days, I bit the bullet and finished! It was great with the added baby bonus. Thanks again for another great read, Miss Mallory!!
