Rushed, awful

I've read a book about dinosaur sex. I've read about a woman falling in love with a sentient door. I've read a childrens picture with more plot, with more of a beginng middle and end. I've read so much better witg so much worse potential. 0 stars if possible it's not worth it,l. The only redeemable quality is that it's over faster than the superbowl commercial breaks

Colt ‘Bear’ & Mabel ‘Red’
Colt “Bear” Dennison, is the founder and leader of the Grizzlies MC in Bear County. They protect their own and those that can’t protect themselves. Grizzlies MC has a bar, Octane, and a women’s shelter. They try to do good and her created this club for him and his sister Amy, a family. So when his sister introduced him to her friend from the city that needed a job he was not expecting a fiery little red head full of sassy and attitude wrapped in a body that begged for him.
Mabel Harlow, ran from the city and a boss who tried to assault her. She had only one place to go and that was her ride or die bestie, Amy and her brother’s bar, now she needed to convince Amy’s brother to give her a chance at the bar. She needed to make a plan for her next steps in life.
This book starts the series of His Girl Series. This is an alpha, dominate man who commands the room with his presence and her body his eyes. The chemistry and heat that fires off these two is hot enough to set off the sprinkler systems in the bar. But do remember we are reading a Biker Romance so this means ‘turf wars’ and this book is no different. A Rival MC is moving in on them and they need to get them out because they don’t want skin trade and will end them. This is a quick read 76 pages about 1.5 hours, close proximity, best friend’s brother/little sister best friend, Protector/Damsel in distress, biker romance. Kalli Dean and given us a great entry to the newest dominating, possessive and protective alpha’s, who ride hard and love harder.

Ooh - the OTT protector vibes are strong with this one!
Mabel quit her last job because of an overly handsy boss. Lucky for her that her friend offers her a job at her brother's bar. Her brother isn't quite so sure of that.
Colt doesn't like the idea of his sister's friend working at his bar, but she's a red-headed spitfire and he just can't say no. She gets under his skin as she tests him at every turn, and she seems to have fun doing it, too. Not that he can say he minds so much. Honestly, he likes giving it right back.
But when push comes to shove, she's one of his now, and he'll protect her. However he has to.
Oh, this was so yummy! Colt was all gruff and grumbly, but Mabel saw past that to the teddy bear underneath. His MC accepted her, too, giving her a family she didn't have.
This was an easy, satisfying read that really pulled me in. Great characters, and I can't wait for the next in the series!

Protecting His Girl is book 1 of His Girl series, which I found to be throughly entertaining and enjoyable to read. I thought author Kalli Dean did a phenomenal job of telling the story of Colt and Mabel. I also love how Kalli is able to weave various emotions throughout Protecting His Girl. Even though this book is a short story, I found it to be an amazing story. I couldn’t set my kindle down till I finished the book. Colt is a co-owner of a bar who is a typical alpha male. Mabel is friends with Colt’s little sister. I absolutely adore the chemistry between Colt and Mabel, I find it to be electric. I’m most certainly going to check out more books written by Kalli Dean. Furthermore, I would highly recommend Protecting His Girl to others.

Colt is Amy's brother and the co-owner of Octane (a bar) who also runs a biker gang called 'Grizzlies'
Mabel is Amy's best friend.

The pair begin to flirt back and forth as well as tease each other, not knowing if either of them actually wanted each other until one says they're serious and then the tension only builds from there. Colt will do anything to protect Mabel and this is shown when one of the rival biker gangs shows up and tries to harm her.

By the end of the book, the Grizzlies figure out what's going on and essentially say it took them long enough to become official, which Amy also seems to support.

Favourite quote: I'm about two seconds away from throwing you over my shoulder and carrying you off to the nearest flat surface.

Mabel/Red is his sister‘s best friend and just started working as a waitress in the bar.
Colt is a huge, alpha male protector. He is instantly attracted to Mabel and will do everything to ensure her safety.
Mabel is independent, sassy and takes crap off of no one. She is not used to someone taking care of her.
What happens when a rival motorcycle club comes for her? Can these two dominant individuals find love?
I enjoyed this short read, and I am looking forward to the rest of the series. I would recommend this book.

Colt also known as Bear is the president of the grizzlies MC. Bear also the co-owner Octane, a biker bar.
Mabel also known Red is the sister of Bear's best friend. Red has just started working as a waitress in the Octane bar.
Bear is a alpha male protector, who finds himself attracted to Red and will do everything to ensure her safety.
Red is no wall flower, she is independent and takes crap off. And having a male protector is new to her. But when a rival motorcycle club takes her she puts her trust in Bear.

The book was ok. I love the overprotective stuff but something felt off with the book. I would have liked for everything to be a little mapped out better and if the secondary characters weren't an afterthought. Colt's sister is supposed to be Mabel's best friend as well and that part was missing from the book. She was forgotten 'till the end of the book and apparently, she has a romance of her own. I would love to read it and see if the character and story development will be improved.

Colt and Mabel are just a divine match 😍 this book is "fast paced" (due to being a 60ish paged novella it changes days-weeks at a time but it's worth it)! It is a spicy book but has an amazing story line for a short story! You learn so much so quick about the characters and the are so relatable! Definitely give kalli dean a read! I've finished the second book and about to borrow the others, before starting another of her trilogies

This is a short intense read. Colt owns a bar and runs it with his sister. He is part of the local MC that protects the town and runs the women's shelter. When his sister approaches him to offer her friend a job, he does. When he sees her friend his protective side comes out and he wants to make her his. Pick up this book to see what happens.

Very cute

This was a cute little read. Mabel has moved to Bear Country to be with her best friend Amy and start over. Colt is Amy's brother and Mabel thinks he is so sexy and hot. They own a bar together named Octane. When another MC encroach on their territory its times to put them on the road. Only things go badly. Will Colt finally get his HEA with Mabel?

A great and quick read to get your blood pumping. The storyline is original and interesting, I read this in one go.

Loved the sassiness of Mabel and the way she brought the big tough biker Colt to his knees.

You can’t go past this book if you love a small town romance. This short but sweet book hits all the right places from burly biker to dirty talk during the spice scenes. The way the relationship between Mable and Colt built was so romcom but with a kick.

Lots of potential, but it feels rushed. Don't get me wrong, I expect some rush in a novella. This book skips weeks at a time, and then rushes into action. It also ends more with a HFN instead of HEA.
