This was a very unique category with literally star-crossed lovers and a Russian setting. When the American born and raised heroine comes to Russia to see her never seen before grandfather she is stuck. The KGB hero whose father owes her grandfather a debt proposes a marriage in name only through which he will let heroine go back home. Of course the name only parts changes and they fall for each other but she still wants to go back and the hero's loyalty lies to his family and country. The second part of the book opens four years after their parting and heroine's feelings are still strong. You knew going into this book it wouldn't be a hearts & flowers ending and someone would end up having to give up all they loved. I enjoyed the uniqueness of the book though the love scenes were flowery and hilarious.

Amazing Cold War era romance book with a great Russian hero and an emotional forbidden romance! The hero is a KGB officer and the heroine is an American. I have been looking for romance books where the hero is KGB and this book delivered. I loved how the hero's so protective.

Loved reading about the Soviet era-Moscow. The author is clearly knowledgeable about Russian culture.

The love scenes were tasteful and steamy too!
