Rate this book
When you’re not looking for trouble, sometimes it finds you…

Gideon “Hawk” St. James has been teetering the line of his bad boy ways and staying out of trouble since being released from jail after serving eighteen months for being the lookout in a robbery. He’s been out for one year now, running an auto repair shop out of his garage and laying low. The motorcycle club gives him the brotherhood he desires and an edge to his life.

But he’s still missing something. His woman…

Ivy St. James left Gideon the same year he went to jail. Tired of his bad boy ways, she decided to find herself a good man, only he turned out to be NOT so good. While she’s on the run from him, she runs into Gideon who can’t help but stare at the little girl in her arms who has his same deep brown eyes and curly brown hair.

The members of Sin City never leave before all the cards are played.

Great read!!

I loved Gideon, aka Hawk!! Trying to save his no-good brother lands him doing a 2 year bid in the pen. While inside, he loses his wife and Ole lady, Ivy. Gideon has anger, feelings of betrayal, and a forever love for Ivy. Even after finding out the daughter she kept from him. Ivy loved Gideon deeply. But his association with the Sinners was something she couldn't get with.

Now I loved that the Sinners had Hawks back. From the time he was incarcerated up to and after he was released. Ivy really never got to know Hawks brothers. All she knew was what she heard or seen on TV. You know what they say about assuming. 👀👀 So when she went to ask Hawk for help, I was all on the sideline, hoping with fingers crossed that this would be their second chance at being a family. But hurt feelings can get in the way, and people say things through their hurt and pain and not their heart.

While trying to protect his family from Ivy's abuser ex-boyfriend Chase, Hawk learns some information that has him seeing red. No spoilers!! While this book didn't have the expected action from the Sinner MC series, I loved it just the same. You have to remember that Hawk was not a titled member of the club. He owned a business that the club took their bikes to be fixed as well as other vehicles. But in the end, the Sinners were there to help Hawk and Ivy get a handle on their "problem" so they could be safe, happy, and be a family. I loved the ending!! What a beautiful HEA.

I wanted to like it...

But I couldn't. I kept reading hoping the book, the writing, got better. It didn't...Gideon and Ivy have the makings of a great story but everything felt superficial...Maybe next time.

Love Lost

This was a sweet story about two people who both thought they had lost the love of their life. Hawk thought that Ivy didn't love him after he went to prison. Ivy was so mad at Hawk for going to prison that she walked away from him.
Even though Ivy turned her back on Hawk when he needed her the most, he was there for her in her time of need.
This is a good story, and I think you will enjoy this book. It is a twist on the typical Sinners story.

Great Addition to the series

I am becoming a fan of the Sin City MC book series and this book was another great one. It was entertaining and short, but still kept me interested in more stories to come.

Being incarcerated for a crime you did not commit was tough. But having your wife turn her back on you was even tougher for Gideon- Hawk. Now that Hawk is a free man, who walks back into his life with a child on tow? Will this be Hawk and Ivy's second chance?

Just finished reading. The sacrifices we make for family is often overlooked by that member. Hawk goes to jail for his younger brother, Gage, and loses his relationship with his wife. While Hawk is in jail, Ivy leaves him. She later finds out that she is pregnant but doesn't tell him. After two years when Hawk is released, Ivy comes to him looking for help. Never having given up his love for her he helps and realizes that the baby she has is his.
