Dr Clint Baxter's conflicted in his personal and professional life about his hopes and fears for the future, that include Dr Lillian Charles, a surgeon he's started to have feelings for, some dying patients who've turned up in the ER, and fears about the family he once betrayed finding him again.
He meets Amahle, a dancer, who draws him into a twisted, murderous web of secrets and lies, which engages the reader very quickly, as the tension mounts exponentially.
Will he and Lillian get together?
Will his family exact a terrible vengeance on him...or will another try to?
