I skimmed through 60% of this book because I got bored very quickly. Pretty cliche things and it could use another round of editing. I almost DNF but considering how predictable the story was, I figured I’d know the ending if I skimmed through it…the epilogue proved me right.

Is Adelina- Maksim’s child 4 or 8? there was a discrepancy and it annoyed me throughout the entire book because of how mature her dialogue was for her supposed age.

Tory- there’s not much depth to her? She was rather boring and one dimensional.

And the mentioning of Ned’s death and Adelina’s mother dying…some more context here would’ve been great. I felt like so many things were randomly thrown in.

Spicy 2.5/5…the author attempted to have the MMC be shown as a dominant but to be honest, that portrayal fell through. The words “BDSM” “dominant” or “submissive” do not belong anywhere in this book. I like my spicy scenes long, detailed and hot…this was just bleh, boring…nothing special.

Why did Igor not step in to help Max? “Family first” unless the aggressor is also an unhinged family member, I guess?

Who gets an ultrasound at 5 weeks?

Was this really a mafia romance? I mean not really. Truthfully this would have worked better as a billionaire family heir drama.

Was this an age gap romance? I’m genuinely asking because it is in the title of the book but for the life of me I can’t remember it ever being a plot point

None of the characters are well developed and are instead very flat with extremely simple motivations.

This just sucked…TikTok strikes again.

Part of the Silver Fox Daddies series each can be read as a standalone with an overprotective and the one who captures his undivided attention. Victoria has always loved animal’s dogs specially it has always been her one dream so after living through the horror of an ex. who screwed her, but she thought that was done with because he was now dead unbeknownst to her, she wrongs she worked hard to open/run Paws & Play Pet Daycare and she couldn’t be happier running her own doggie daycare. Maksim sexy as all get out part of the bratva crime family, the oldest he gets the job done knows who owes the family, has no problem collecting on debts owed to the family, and he notices that Ned despite being dead owes a sizable amount of money so he pays a visit the owner of the doggie daycare because that was what he borrowed the money for or he told them, and he intends to collect he is dangerous, ruthless on a good day, and dangerous every day until he meets the owner of said doggie daycare. One evening he visits Victoria demanding to know when he can expect payment of the rather large loan he took out for the daycare. She explains he lied, they weren’t together, but a debt is owed, and she must pay it. The magnetic pull between them is instant, the more he comes to collect, the more she tells herself she hates him the stronger the pull between grows especially after watching her through the cameras/bugs he placed in her apartment. She was enjoying herself while screaming his name of course he came running knocking on her door things change but is it enough to clear her debt, will he show her the side that is rarely seen by others his softer side, will she get to keep her doggie daycare, and can they find something more than payment of a debt that doesn’t belong to her?

This is a delicious fast paced romance! Maksim is next in line to take over the Bratva. Tory runs a doggy daycare.
When they meet it’s instant sexual attraction.
The love scenes are hot and they eventually fall in love.
This is a well written storyline filled with action and drama. I especially love the ending ❤️

An outstandingly written story that has suspense, intrigue, thrills, action and a steamy romance that brings a happy ever after ending. The story has amazing characters which will make you want to keep reading till the very end.
This is a story about a woman business owner and a Bratva enforcer who tries to get money from her due to her dead ex boyfriend putting a loan out with the Bratva and using her business as collateral. There is electricity between the two since the moment they meet and it shows throughout the story.
Throughout the story the two become closer. They’re feelings grow stronger through all the obstacles the two encounter even though to the woman’s side of things his world is full of danger she still wants to be with him. The couple have sex multiple times and she soon is pregnant.
The woman along with her best friend and a guy who she hired to help tends to her business. The woman tells her best friend most everything and it’s her best friend that tells her first that she’s in love with the Bratva boss. The new guy comes up missing not long after the debt is paid.
The woman spends the weekend with the Bratva enforcer and his daughter. The three go to the zoo as well as other places before going back to the home, that night the two have sex. The woman plans on telling the Bratva enforcer the next day. She falls asleep in the Bratva enforcer's arms.
Not long after the two get closer the Bratva enforcer informs his family about his feelings for the woman. The half brother tries to capitalize on that by kidnapping the woman. The guy who used to work for her is one of the half brother’s men. The half brother has the guy take the woman to the basement where he locks her in a room. The woman gets out by using a cue stick to the guy before trying to find a way out but she stops when she hears the half brother talking to his men and soon after she gets caught again.
The Bratva enforcer goes to his father’s after making sure his daughter and the nanny is tended to. The Bratva enforcer informs his father of what the half brother did and they make a plan. The father, even though being the Bratva boss, doesn't condone of what the half brother has done.
The Bratva enforcer makes his way to his half brother’s home to bring the plan into action. The men who work for the half brother takes the Bratva enforcer's weapon away from him before taking him to his half brother who is waiting for him. The woman is brought in when the half brother orders his men to get her. When the woman shows up the half brother informs the Bratva enforcer that the woman is pregnant which the woman confirms. The Bratva enforcer goes to get free of the half brother’s men when he knocks one down taking his gun but he knows he can’t fire the gun because of the woman and his unborn baby. Soon the place is covered in darkness and the couple finds one another.
They try to get out but the door is locked and soon metal shutters are over the windows. They try to make their way to the highest level to get to the roof when the half brother shoots at them with a shotgun. Bullets are flying as they make their way to the third floor where they find a window with no shutter. They break the window out and make their way to the roof where a helicopter tries to pick them up but the half brother stops that from happening. The guy who used to work for the woman comes behind the half brother drawing his gun on the half brother informing him to stop that he’s with the feds.
The helicopter comes taking the couple to the hospital. The Bratva enforcer apologizes to the woman for what happened, he also informs her that he wants her to move in with him and his daughter. After the woman is checked out and is given a clean bill of health the woman goes to fill out some paperwork. The Bratva enforcer recognizes that there are alot of feds in the waiting room. When the woman is done with the paperwork they leave the hospital only to be confronted by the guy, they talk before the guy leaves.
Seven months later the three are at the woman’s business along with her best friend and a new worker, they all work together. The best friend and new worker leave when the day is done. When the three start to leave the woman has a contraction. The Bratva enforcer takes her to the hospital and calls his father giving him the news. The woman has her baby and the Bratva enforcer comes up with the baby’s name. The two take turns holding their baby and the daughter comes in happy to have a baby she can be a big sister to. The father comes in and the two men go and have a discussion in the corner away from the others. The father has decided to retire so that he can be a grandfather to his grandkids so the Bratva enforcer is the new Bratva boss.
Three years later the woman’s business is booming, he has a couple of places now and is talking to the managers on her laptop. With having managers the woman doesn’t have to work much anymore so she stays home with the kids, she goes to each store daily to check on things. The discussion is about opening a new store, they decide to wait and watch to see how things go until the new year. After she gets off of her laptop she makes her way to the living room where the kids and the Bratva boss are. The Bratva boss informs them of the date night that he has planned and that the kids' grandparents will be watching them.
The couple goes out to dinner and dancing before coming back making love before he goes to and gets something out of a drawer, a small box, the bratva boss opens and a ring is inside. The bratva boss asks the woman to marry him and he replies with a yes. The two hold on another while they fall asleep.
The woman decides that she will tell the Bratva boss about the new baby that they will have tomorrow.

He texted at the door and tells her to let him in. She was shocked to see him. Maskim stayed with her until early morning then went to his father's house because his daughter had spent the night. His father had heard about him forgiven the debt and was pissed and tell him that it was not forgiven. His scheming half-brother was in their father's ear telling him that she could sell her shop to repay the debt. Maskim knows that he had to do something because he cared about Tory and is seeing her as Adeline step-mother. Maskim became at odds with his dad and half-brother because he was willing to protect and take care of Tory as their relationship deepens. There were so many things going on jealousy, treachery and kidnapping all because Aleksey wanted a position that he can't get. However, everything eventually got resolved with a long hard fought battle and the two gets their HEA and becomes a family.

She get pulled into his family dysfunction via his half- brother, who can’t stand lead lady. Her bad boy must face his family and save the girl. A few hot sexy scenes and HEA.

Wow what fantastic book this was it kept me spell bound right till the very end with drama action deception, betrayal, danger, Russian mob, crazy family are just a few things that will have you hooked and glued to the pages. Victoria Olsen (tory) has just found out her Ex boyfriend is dead and she had moved on from him and has now opened her a Paw & Play daycare centre and is it going well but life is going to get bad real fast when she gets a visit from a Russian Mobster who has come to collect the huge debt her ex Ned has left her with when he told them the loan was for an animal daycare and so Maksim has come to see the owner and when Tory tells him that they weren’t together when he took out the loan and that he lied and so the debt isn’t hers but looking at him there is an instant attraction that pull them together and he offer her a deal that she uses her body to pay back the debt and she tells him no. Maksim Morrozov is the Heir to the throne of the Bratva the Russian mafia and he over see’s debts that are owing and comes to collect them by any means and thats what brings him the daycare place to see Ned's girlfriend who owns the business for which the loan was taken out on but the owner who is gorgeous by the way tells him that Ned lied but he doesn’t care the debt needs to paid and he proposes a deal where she can pay off the debt with her body and she tells him no but he knows she wants him. Now that they have bugged her home and business he is listening when she pleasures herself calling out his name as he races to knock on her door and to get her what they both want and they start seeing each other but his younger step brother Aleksey who is a crazy nut job who wants the throne doesn’t like Tory at all and causes problems between them. How doe it all turn out in the end get this book to find out.

This was a book I wanted to love. The bones were there, the story is decent, but OH. MY. GODS. The spelling errors and whole missing words. I counted over 15 before I gave up. It kept pulling me out of the story, especially those during the sex scenes. Sweat rolled down her spin, instead of spine. I know that it happens, something always slips past the editor and ARC readers, but come on.

On top of that, the surprise pregnancy chapped my a$$. Not that it happened, but *how*. Getting overwhelmed and forgetting in the moment to use protection? Sure. It happens. But forgetting you stopped taking the pill after a whole *month*, and a month that was relatively relaxed and full of sex? FFS, she's not a teenager. Never mind the risk of STDs. The lack of ANY level of adulting there by either of the MCs was glaring and completely unbelievable. A man in a position of power, especially, is mindful of not having a surprise baby situation sprung on him when hooking up or finding a new longer term partner, no matter how good a dad he is.

Also, he has to "ease her into" his more darker demands in bed? What a fizzle there. So he ties her up and edges her, with a little Sir here and there? Not impressed. I was expecting more. Not like gun or knife play (NOPE for me), but maybe a little more along the lines of predicament bondage, impact, or wax/fire play? I mean, *something*? Why hint that he's got darker needs and then leave us hanging?

The story is fine for the genre, but overall, the writing was just sloppy; jarringly so for me as a reader. If I could have given 2.5⭐ I would have.

Mob boss falls for the Doggy Daycare owner
Tory (Victoria) Olsen loves dogs. She had better because Tory owns and runs Paws & Play Pet Daycare. She works hard on this startup and even lives in her small office to save money. Her jerk of an ex-boyfriend Ned did her wrong but that’s all over now because he just died. Tory soon learns it’s not over though. Mob enforcer Maksim Morozov is giving Tory a late-night visit to see when he can expect payment of the massive debt Ned owed. Seems Ned said the loan was for the pet daycare operation. Ned lied but no matter Tory needs to pay the loan.
The story revolves around Tory, running her doggy business, Maksim Running his mob responsibilities, and the attraction growing between them. As the oldest, Maksim is the Heir to the “family”, but he has a younger stepbrother who wants that job. Aleksey is a hotheaded nutcase that causes trouble throughout the book. Maksim is mostly a good levelheaded guy and a loving dad to beautiful little Adelina. Soon Maksim falls in love with Tory, and they make a wonderful family. Maksim is an older man who is part of a Russian organized crime family. Tory owns a doggie day care that, unbeknownst to her, is collateral for a loan her now deceased ex-boyfriend and that money is owed to Maksim's family. Maksim shows up at Tory's shop and tells her why he is there and how she must pay back her debt, if not with money, then with her body. She immediately told him no, but she keeps thinking about him.

He placed hidden cameras and bugs in her apartment and watched Tory pleasure herself while screaming his name. The next thing she knows is that Maksim is knocking on her door and their relationship changes. Maksim struggles with his father and younger brother who are upset that he cleared Tory's debt.

The family dynamics are quite fascinating, as Maksim goes against his younger brother and his father. He wants to be with Tory, and he won't let anyone come between them, no matter how hard they try.

It was a very enjoyable and engaging story, as are all of Crowne's books. I highly recommend 'The Arrangement". It's a "can't put down" book!

This book had me hooked straight away. Tory is struggling to run her doggy day care, she's just making ends meet if she doesn't pay herself a wage and sleeps in the drop down bed in the office of the centre. Then walks in Maksim informing her that her ex boyfriend/ business partner who recently passed owes the Bratva money and the debt is now hers. But there is mutual attraction between both of them and things escalate quickly and a relationship is started. This doesn't sit well with his father Ivan the head of the Bratva and his half-brother Aleksey due to the debt involved. Aleksey, jealous of his brother is always making snide comments trying to get a rise from Maksim. But things take a turn for the worse when an incident pits the brothers against each other.

I loved the fiestiness of Tory, she stood her ground even though she was dealing with the russian mob. Maksim, stood by his principles, family is everything and there were things that were off limits, lines that shouldn't be crossed. But they fought for each other and the life they wanted.

I love this author. Her books never fail to keep me interested throughout the entire book. This book was just that one step above the other ones. How do you mix the Russian Bratva with a beautiful young woman that runs a doggy daycare. Tory finds out that her recently deceased idiot of an ex, has left her owing a small fortune in debt to the Russian mob. Maksim has a job to do and that means collecting from Tory, it doesn’t turn out that way. There is an attraction there between them that there is no denying. You are swept up in two different worlds that somehow Maskim and Tory Find a Way to maneuver through. Maskim is set to take over from his father, but he has a younger brother that has more ambition and will do anything to get his way. And there is one thing you must know about the Russian mob family always comes first. This book is full of twists and turns and lies and love and most importantly family. There is no putting this book down, it was a full-blown novel and I wish it would’ve gone on more chapters. My interest in Tory and Maskim lives is so special. Happily ever after so awesome.

All He Did For Love -
Maksim was happy being single and only concentrating on his daughter, but everything changed after he met Tory during one of his jobs. Maksim and Tory’s relationship started on a sour note, but he found a way get her to accept his pursuit of her. Unfortunately, the dangerous elements of Maksim’s life encroached on their budding romance, which led to Tory landing herself in dire straits.

Fortunately, Maksim was able to rescue her safely, where he discovered the secret she had been keeping from him. Everything they had gone through gave them the courage to declare their feelings for each other and work together toward getting the happy life they craved, with the support of their family and friends. This was an emotional, but exciting story, that had me totally engrossed from the beginning until the end. It was great to see the heroine stand up for herself when it mattered and fight for her freedom too. Grab a copy of this book and you won’t be disappointed.

Maksim and Victoria. She had a horrible abusive ex that she doesnt have to worry about because hes dead now. Or so she thinks. Her dream was to open and she did a doggy daycare. Hes part of the Bratva family and he collects things. Seeing that Ned, her suppoosidly dead ex, owes a big debt to the family so he pays a visit to the doggy daycare because Ned told them he borrowed the money to open the daycare. When he to collect he asks when he can expect payment Ned borrowed to open this place. She tries to explain she opened it Ned lied and they werent together when he borrowed that money. She still owes the debt so now what. He comes in reguarlly to collect payments and she wants to hate him but she cants. He has bugged her apartment and sees that she calls his name while pleasuring herself. That gets him going to her apartment. Really loved their story.

Victoria aka Tory has just lost her boyfriend, they were partners in a pet care facility which was always a dream of Tory’s; with the death of her boyfriend and partner, things were tough, but she was making it work, until the door opened and in walked Maksim demanding - that it was now her responsibility to pay back the debt her partner owed to the Bratva! Tory doesn’t have the kind of money it will take to repay the loan, but she knows she has to tread lightly even though she is absolutely livid! This story is filled with suspense, drama, danger, spice, and emotions. She gets pulled into Maksim’s family dysfunction by his half- brother Aleskey who has his own set of suspense, drama and crazy emotions. A great read. I highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.

Victoria (Tory) owns a pet store that takes cares of dogs and all their needs. Tory’s boyfriend has just died and a Bratva enforcer has come to her shop demanding money. Her deceased boyfriend borrowed a lot of money and used her business as collateral. Tory is extremely attracted to Maksim as he is to her. Maksim works for his father and he has a young daughter, who he truly loves and spoils. Maksim has decided to forget the debt but would like Tory to go out with him. He sees her as someone who is very important and could possibly be a good mother to his daughter. Unfortunately his father and his younger stepbrother want the money owed and are willing to do whatever is necessary to get that money. Can Maksim keep her safe and protect her? Can they have a relationship and make it work? I love books by KC Crowne all her characters seems so realistic and the relationships are hot and spicy and the drama interesting. A very enjoyable read.

This was a DNF...

As a rule, when I'm not enjoying a story, I don't leave ANY review... Truthfully, I'd rather say nothing than criticise.

In the interests of helping in a way that might improve future stories:

There were so many misspelled, improperly switched words, and messed up structure, I couldn't actually READ it, get lost in it.

Each time I tried again another word that looked like spell check got really creative would stop me cold. If a reader has to scratch their head, frown, and say 'WHAT?', then you have a problem. And there were a LOT of those moments.

Please. You owe it to your readers to at least proof your manuscript, or have a friend read it before publishing. When it goes out like this, it feels like you don't care. And anyone who takes the time to put words on paper, it is a piece of their inner self, something shared. Share the best of you.

Tory is struggling to keep her business afloat, Paws and Play Pet Daycare, when she finds out her ex claimed he borrowed from the Bratva for her shop. Heir apparent to the Morozov Bratva, Maksim comes to collect on the debt. He tells her there are other ways to pay back the debt.

Maksim places listening devices and cameras around her shop, and finds she is thinking about him late at night. He forgives her debt as he wants to protect her. This puts him at odds with his father and half brother.

Maksim is a softie for the girls in his life, his daughter Adelina and Tory. But there is someone coming to upset what they have going. Can Maksim keeps both his girls safe when the danger comes? I loved this mafia collection of stories by the author.

Tori's ex-boyfriend Ned has died and now the mob wants their payment her boyfriend owed them. She's struggling to keep her Paws & Play Pet Daycare open, she's just starting to get into the red. She has no money to pay for a debt that's not hers. Then in walks Maksim Morozov whose father is the boss of the Russian bratva, and knows the debt can't go unpaid, there are consequences. Maksim is the father to a little girl, and we see the soft side of him, not the cruel brutal mafia man. I love the slow-paced relationship between Tori and Maksim. There's plenty of Russian mafia family as Maksim makes her deal, tries to get closer to Tori as the two grow closer, but can they have a HEA even as tensions between the brothers become high and explosive as their personalities and lives clash. For being a mafia book, it was a very light one. I read this book as a quick and easy read in between others, as I have read many of the other books in this series and knew what to expect.

There were a couple grammatical issues. At about 18%, there was an instance the word they was used instead of the. There was another one later where the sentence was incomplete, but it may have been going along with the paragraph. I didn't want to spend any more time figuring it out, so I just moved on.

The mafia angle is what was catered to mostly, here. The age gap was mentioned briefly at the beginning, but that was it. Their ages weren't actually mentioned for either of them.

This was an enjoyable read, and a great afternoon book to pass the time. I would recommend the series, if you are interested in light reads, however I probably won't read this one again.

Woah. I have to say that I immediately loved Maksim. He was super hot and was definitely strong, both physically and mentally. I adored Tory right away too. She was super feisty and took up for herself right away. I hated her ex right away. I was also glad that he was out of the way to not cause more chaos in her life than he already had. The chemistry between these two was fire, electric, basically anyway you can describe it, put them all together. It was that hot. Maksim felt so much for Tory that he put a lot on the line. But he saw more with her and his daughter, who was an absolute adorable addition. KC always balances out her stories well. We get plenty of steam, but also some drama, danger, etc. I loved this so much and the ending? Pfft. Freaking perfection.

I really loved this. KC does a great job of putting you in the picture and getting you involved.

This was about Tory who runs a doggie day care when her partner dies leaving her in debt to the Bratva, and Maksim comes to collect.

Full of danger, suspense and drama this really takes off and ramps up. I really liked the way Tory and Maksim get together and their connection really pulled me in. I loved that Maksim is tough but still a teddy bear to those he loves. Having little Adelina was a great way to add depth to the character.

Very well done, I truly enjoyed the book and this author is fast becoming one that I don't miss her books.

Victoria (Tory) attends the funeral of her ex-boyfriend, not knowing that he's left her with a legacy-- a debt owed to the Bratva with her dog daycare business as collateral. When Maxsim Morozov comes to collect on the loan, Tory vehemently refuses to pay, having no money and no intention to sell her business for a loan she did not incur. Maxsim surprises both Tory and himself by not pushing the issue. He's sensing some instant chemistry with the feisty redhead and she with him.

I really liked this book. The main characters are complex and strong. Family and friends are important to them both. The story has action, danger, betrayal and plot twists to keep you reading, along with plenty of steam.

The Arrangement is a Bratva romance with a sense of danger, violence, and instalove. The undeniable attraction between Tory and Maksim is engaging and his desire to keep her safe at any cost makes him a desirable dark hero in this tale. Recommend!

The Arrangement is the latest book in the Silver Fox Daddies series. I liked this book and the characters of Tory and Maksim. She is sweet and loving, I mean she owns the Paws & Play Pet Daycare. Unfortunately she had a sleazy ex who ends up doing something that brings Maksim to her doorstep late one night. He is an enforcer and heir to the family. When Ned took out a loan and said it was for starting Tory's business. Now that Ned is dead, it seems Tory is going to have to make the payments even though she never saw any of the money. But Maksim has other plans for Tory and soon there is an indecent proposal that has some very sexy merits.

Great story.
Really liked this & couldn't put it down I was hooked from the start.
Tory was struggling with her business thanks to her ex/business partner but things got worse when he died.
She found herself being told thay he owed money to the Bratvia & he was there to collect the debt that she now owed. There is sexual chemistry between them & gradually they give into the connection they have both seeing a possible future together.
Although they can see a possible future as a new family they have to deal with his half brother Aleksey.
We get to see how strong Tory is when danger strikes & we get an unexpected reveal.

Do, Tory’s ex boyfriend is dead and unbeknownst to her he had a debt with the Bratva? Tory discovers this after the fact and her ex used her doggie daycare as collateral. Maksim, dark broody and handsome, is there to collect on the debt. Tory doesn’t back down, let’s Maksim know she has no money and it’s not her debt. The business could be sold but Tory in no terms will allow it. Maksim does suggest one night in exchange but Tory is not having it!

In the meantime feelings do come into play. Maksim spies on her and they do hook up. But trouble is brewing as a half brother is insistent that Tory pay the 100k debt.

It’s entertaining and there are a few twists and more. Tory is also pregnant and hasn’t told Maksim. There is a HEA, hot scenes but a good story nonetheless.

While this is a mafia romance, it’s not a dark one. The ML is definitely an alpha but not an alphahole. The sex comes quickly with light BDSM. The characters fall quickly. The book itself, for me, was hard reading to start. Bit formulaic and boring. But picks way up at about the halfway point. Breezed through the rest and enjoyed the moderate thriller elements. There’s tension between Bratva brothers. It all ends with a HEA. While very formula driven and predictable, it turned out to be a nice afternoon read. Light on any stress.

KC Crowne never disappoints me with her books. Her characters come to life on the page with the artistry of her words. The plot is built with care . This book is an excellent example of her work. The story is built by a mystery man watching a woman at her business after she has attended a funeral for her ex. The ex left debt with the Bravata which Tory is told by Maksim she owes. This is the start of an adventure that is filled with danger, family drama and the love of a developing family. It is a really interesting story. I would give it more than 5 stars if possible.
