I am transitioning from the classroom to an office where I have a special opportunity to coach teachers at my middle school. Despite feeling somewhat unprepared to coach educators who are more experienced and qualified than me, I am embracing the challenge. Petersen introduced an “organic coaching cycle” that encourages teachers to reflect on their practices and identify areas of strength and weakness. This approach has taught me the importance of listening actively, asking insightful questions, and maintaining a curious mindset throughout the coaching process.

This book has a lot of practical information to help new coaches, or coaches in a new setting, jumpstart coaching cycles. I took a couple of points off for too many testimonials (the content testifies for itself) and typos.
