Brilliant!! She’s done it again! You may find yourself wanting to live in the Dark Court. The drama! It’s everything you want…temptation, deceit, and desire. Family, friendships, and enemies. And don’t forget Spicey!!
I loved Handsome Devil! It’s the 3rd book in her Ascent of the Wicked series. If you haven’t read the previous two books, you should. They really are that good!! Five stars! I received a copy of the book as an ARC reader.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book from the author a few weeks ago and it did not disappoint. While this is book three in the Ascent of the Wicked series you could dive right in and be totally fine in terms of understanding everything. It would help if you read the previous books though because:
1. They are awesome.
2. There is a very large cast of supporting characters in this series that interact throughout some/all books.
3. The “royal court/dark court” is quite substantial and while the hierarchy isn’t confusing, reading the previous books will help with understanding it better.
4. Did I mention the previous books were awesome?
This particular book focuses on Stella, a straight mess of a banshee (I love this choice of supernatural creature) and Raphael, a hot, horned, half-demon who relies on touch to manipulate his victims. Both Stella and Raphael are hired for conflicting missions that aim to end in either one or both of their deaths…but it just so happens that they’re each other’s “soulmarks” (think soulmate if you will)…so obviously things get a bit…messy.
Rebecca Main brings us drama, court politics, deceit, familiar faces, violence, supernatural abilities, messiness of all sorts, slow burn, forbidden love, spice, dark magic, and so much more! If you enjoyed shows like Lucifer and/or Lost Girl, this book/series is for you!

Life has been living recently but this book has been keeping me afloat and has been the prefect escape.
I absolutely adore Stella and Raphael’s story and Rebecca’s writing is amazing. I loved how much detail and plotting was involved, with so many twists and turns. This fantasy books has it all.
I will say that it’s a long, chonky read, and whilst I prefer that in my fantasy books, with alllll the details, I appreciate it’s not for everyone. However, I will say that thanks to how brilliantly written it is, despite its length, there is never a dull moment and you never know what’s coming next. There are so many layers to this story.
An excellent addition to the series and I can’t wait to see what happens next!

I absolutely adore Stella and Raphael’s story and Rebecca’s writing is amazing. I loved how much detail and plotting was involved, with so many twists and turns. This fantasy books has it all.

I loved seeing Stella grow into the Banshee she was supposed to be. Reading about how truly powerful she really is, was so great! And finally getting to understand Raphael and why he is so different, was truly fun to read. The book takes you on a crazy ride. The Dark Court is truly a place full of secrets and power, and traversing it can be deadly. But Stella and Raphael figure out how to do it and it is amazing to read about! Can't wait for more!
